Well it never came out for the PS3, only the 360, so I only have it for my PC. Still wish it did came out for the PS3 and I would have played it online. They were planning to make a Ultimate doom 3 for PS3 but they canceled it for some reason.

how can doom 3 own quake 4, they use the same engine, so the graphics are no more different, i personally love doom 3, have played quake 4, and they are practically the same game, different story, different baddies but looks the same, quake 4 was targeted for the audiences that didnt want to get scared by doom. doom 3 is a scary game when it first came out, having a game that targets a mature audience in the horror genre does not, BY THE BOOKs get good numbers for sales, so they made quake 4

The point is, Id Tech 5 is kind of Open GL... So Dx10 isn't necessary at all.

Doom 4 is gonna be powered by modified Id Tech 5 engine, said it is gonna have 3 times better graphics than RAGE (as RAGE doesn't takes full advantage of Id Tech 5). So Vista or not, it ain't necessary.

No shit, we wont see doom 4 until 2012 so it's no surprise that it will look better than Rage which is estimated for release in 2010.

Doom 3 could have been mega better with gameplay (weapons to be more interesting, alt-fire weapons, more kinds of weapons, more monsters, super smart monsters (like, if you encounter an imp, it will starts crawling on the walls, ceilings and try to take you down sneaky way) but it is still pretty good kickass game :)
