I cannot believe this woman. Don't get me wrong there is nothing wrong with feeling good about yourself. But when it becomes the sole reason for your existence, this is when problems arise. What about self sacrifice?What about caring for others?This sort of mindset of ME ME ME is terrible for our society. It leads to narcissism and carelessness of others. "When something is hard just give up" - What a pitiful statement. Gandhi did not give up to liberate his people form the British empire.

@GregariousGorilla I don't think that she meant for you (or anybody else) to understand it from an ego/narcissistic place, but from a positive mindset. You can do and be all those things you mentioned when it comes from a positive, joyful place and not from a 'should' place or guilt or any other negative thought and emotion. How much more can you give to others when you give it from a 'happy, joyful' place?
