The reality is that there is no misaki chan out there to help or save us. We have to save ourselves. Don't look to god or other external sources, look within yourself. If that is not possible then have a drink my friend and pull up a chair you are not alone in that boat either.
I'm listening to it right now and at 2:08 My WHOLE BODY just got the shivers and goosebumps!!! A rush of endorphins (?)!! This song does something to me i can't explain...I KNOW it sounds weird but it's like my brain just rewarded me for listening to this track. WTF?!?!?
Whooo!!!!! I finally FOUND IT!!! Grabbed this series off the shelf of my collection, only watched it once. Mostly paid attention to the story, loved it. This time, I paid more attention to the soundtrack, knowing the story already. When I heard THIS song I got goosebumps. The entire soundtrack's range is wide and really sets the mood for the series. Reminds me of Keith Sweat's "Come Back". Thanks for posting this. Tried to find the OST on Amazon just a minute ago, no luck. :(
@deejaytai1 Oh man you're so right. It is like a shoegaze version of Come Back lol. It would be pretty cool if someone took Keith Sweat's vocals and played them over this music.
@azsxdc59 I disagree, I definitely think if feels sad. After watching the anime, it draws up images of the Med school man's mother weeping over her son's attempted suicide, Misaki standing over the dead cat, or the high school flashback where Hitomi sees Sato in the literature club by himself sitting in a fetal position. It impresses unto me feelings of loneliness, rejection, and isolation.
@lkjkhfggd I don't think of loneliness or rejection at all when I hear this. If anything I think of acceptance. I think of Misaki telling Satou she'll help him overcome his hikikomori disease in the park at night, I think of Satou and Yamasaki playing in the park in the snow for the last time and that 1 recluse gamer going out and getting a job at the restaurant and overcoming his anxiety. This song to me is a song about no matter how low you may be, you never have to be alone.
@Pylons88 Clearly you should rewatch episode 22, the episode where this BGM plays. If you don't remember, there is no music as Sato walks up to Misaki and begins conversing with her, and then once he sees the dead cat, this music starts playing. It plays all the way through Misaki's explanation of how life isn't worth living and how god must be evil. When Misaki begins crying is when the BGM finishes.
whats the title of the song translate to?
angel.. tear.. wing.. sumthing? anyone know japanese?

This is one of those pieces of music that you can't pick if it's happy or sad. It just feels raw, like real life.
