Great video, I like that you mention about the cost all the time so everybody can understand whats going on and how, because everyone think that it's easy to be a farmer but it's not!!! Greetings from Greece, we just finished our silage
Oct.1,2010...We finished shelling corn a week ago,Halfway done with beans. But 11 weeks with no rain! I'm running the center pivots to get the wheat up, I have never done that before.
That's pretty high up & alot of silage! I've done that too and it's kind of freaky along the edge, at night, when your tired like you say. You drink Mountain Dew or coffee?
Excellent job telling why you are doing each step, expressing how expensive....people need to recall cost of employees, equipment and fuel not to mention repairs. Hope you have a large supply of haylage since it must make up the difference of smaller silage crop. Keep reminding the viewers that are not farmers that taking care of the animals and ground is hugely important to sucessful producers!! Rain is a mixed package, often needed yet regularly makes extra work because of when it arrived!
you are so cool
