  • I'll say "kowa sou"...

    Is it right?!

And it's kowa sou.. I think

  • thank you alot for the video

    can you answer me pleace

how can i write (( atsui)) just in hiregana

how can i write the (( T)) in this word ?

    for your Q

    kowa sou

  • @misswayfarer88 あつい

  • @ShinyTHPS

    thank you so much

  • @misswayfarer88 You're welcome. As for the second question, I am not sure if you mean the "t" in atsui. Japanese language is made out of syllables. It's splitted to a-tsu-i.

    a = あ tsu = つ i = い

  • @ShinyTHPS

thank you that was very helpfull

    :)

  • x : kowai sou

    o : kowa sou

  • I have oichii muzukashi one GIGITY!

  • I'm going to have nightmares now.....Why won't you blink! XD Nice glasses.

  • こわいそう~ ^^

  • Kowa sou ja nayo ;)

  • Are you wearing a wig, Runny? kowa sou!!! :D <3

  • This video is very informative. Thank you! I wonder how this kind of expression is used with different forms of i-adjectives and other types of words.

I have a feeling that saying "kawaisou" to mean "[subject/topic] looks cute" must be said with caution since "kawaisou" (with different kanji) meaning pathetic/pitiable/etc. seems to be more common, it seems. Could be awkward.

  • Why is he sporting the mad look. Reminds me of mad endo and mad matsumoto from the yugiwara batsu

  • to answer your prompt: "kowasou" と言えばいいだね。

how do you say: "would say"? ざんねんだけどまだまなんでいません。

    ほんとうにありがとう~!

  • KOWAI sou /kowai sooo/ :).... this expression means: IT looks scary OR you look scary OR both? can you tell me, please?

    Thanks!

  • @SusanAmely90 Neither. It doesn't actually contain a subject, who or what you're talking about would be inferred from the current situation. It just means *something* is scary.

  • hahah wtf?

  • I could only understand up to :10 lol better go study some more

  • kowa sou <333333

omg i've a crush on you...

  • I really like all your videos man ^^ You have a very friendly face ^^ friendly words and you are so positive. With a guy like you, we are sure to be happy to be human... Thanks for all your videos. Thanks for you exist and thanks for showing us how it's good to be humble and open-minded... Great continuation to you guy ^^ God bless you ^^

  • KOWA SOU!!!!! :D

  • :D so funny

  • kowa sou ? then if it's pitiful isn't it kowa sou as well ? confuse...

  • This was amazing o.o and very helpful x3

  • kiresou! LOL

  • You look black with those glasses

  • KOWA SOU! You are /veeery/ helpful. For english speaking person, to take away that last moment of speaking an "ii" and saying "i" is complicated. That is where that common mistake derives from. For us, to say anything that ends in "E" sound, to try and take away that last moment of the "E" sound would be difficult to learn and understand.

  • 質問!今日のレッスンを教えた形容詞が”い”タイプでした。もし”な”タイプ形容詞が使りたかったら(例:便利、有名、必用)、どうやって言えばいいですか?それも、もし僕の言いたいことは”猫 looks like犬"。猫は犬のようにみたい?猫は犬のようにみえます?猫が犬みたい?猫は犬そう?むずかしいよ、日本語の文法!

  • @goshadowkenny

I think for ナ-adjectives(形容動詞), you simply add そう behind. e.g. "静かそう" without the な。

Also, it would be ungrammatical to use そう for positive nouns i think. It's only possible for negative nouns: 猫じゃなさそう・猫ではなさそう(it doesn't look like a cat)。みたい and ようare fine: トマトはみかんみたいです・トマトはみかんのようです, though the meanings of そう and みたい・よう are not always interchangeable.

  • こわくないです。おかしそう :p

  • かわそう!;_;

  • kowa sou??

kowa makes me think of koalas for some reason. ther not even scary unless angry. o.o

  • How does Runny look?

With the glasses = Kowa sou

    Without glasses = Kakkoi sou

  • four minutes and I already forgot your real eyes ahaha D:

    nice lesson >)

  • kowa sou

  • kowa sou

  • kowa sou

  • What a nice lesson. I didn't think that there were such a thing

  • Oh my gosh, another Dragon Ball fan! Now that I've gotten that out of the way, couldn't you also use 「見える」 to say something 'looks ___'?

  • kowai - sou :/ or kowa sou

  • Very good lesson, thank you.

  • Kawai sou. Kowai ja nai. ^_^

  • Sukebe sou!!!

  • @bradynbear lol but I'm being serious...

  • Kawai Sou? lol Just kidding. Kowa Sou?

  • Comment removed

  • @EToastE It was actually right, because it originally has two ii's. kawaii

  • @EToastE

    "Kawai" and "Kawaii" are different.

    Kawai = scary

    Kawaii - cute.

  • @DarkGemOfTheNight Actually Kowaii is scary and kawaii is cute :3

  • @lukeers

Same difference ; The only real diff between the two is that "Kawaii" stresses the "ee" sound at the end. Kanji to Eng is hard to do as it's based only on pronounciation.

  • Kowa sou!!!!

  • How about セクシそう?

Is it correct to say that?

  • @awimbaweb wow :P that's crepey

  • @awimbaweb セクシーそう。

  • Thank you! I never realized this.

  • At the beginning I was like, why the hell is he saying: "runnyrunny nein nein nein"?

Then I was like, oh this isn't german =D

  • kowa sou!

  • "They look strong, right?"

    Well, according to my scouter.....

  • @Curtomium "desu" means (well is like saying) am/is/are

  • kowaso-!!~~

  • anata no sunglass o kai tai!

  • 怖そう :D

  • whoa shit he's angry

  • 壊そう!!!!! >_<

  • hi, thanks for your video... helpful for me coz its so easy to remember

  • is it correct if i were to use "oishi mitai"?

  • kowa sou

  • what anout words like "nigiyaka" and "kirei" that does noe end in i?

  • Comment removed

  • @hanzimaster for those na-adjectives you drop the 'na' from the end of the adjective and add 'da', then add 'sou'. きれいだそう (looks clean) にぎやかだそう (looks lively)

for nouns you just add 'da' to the end then put 'sou'

  • @xhm100 arigatou gozaimashita!

  • KOWA SOU!!

  • How do you say "it SOUNDS scary" ???

  • Thank You!

  • 素晴らしい, how do you exclaim things? such as "great!"

  • I laughed when I saw this. My Japanese teacher always goes over the difference between "looks like" and "hear say" sou. こわそう~

  • "it looks BRAH BRAH so."

  • kowasou ni kimatteru ya! :D

  • こわそう!

  • @QCBEC why click on a video that says japanese lesson in the title then? Do you also walk into spanish lessons at school just to yell at the teacher that you don't want to learn spanish?

  • @Unimatrix0ne Ya i dont have spanish class i live in canada

And idk i was looking his other video and i saw this and i was like hey lets learn japones but this dude suck at teaching it so fuck off.

  • @QCBEC I was just using spanish class as an example, you don't need to actually have spanish class at your school to get the point I was trying to make. He's not a bad teacher, I actually found this lesson useful and judging by the number of likes so did a lot of other people so why don't you keep to videos you actually want to watch in the future instead of clicking on random titles then needlessly insulting people when you don't like what you see.

  • @Unimatrix0ne Ok well thats my opinion you think its good and i dont im sorry man.

  • damn, just say that u have to halt in between

  • こわそう - Kowa Sou

    声そう - Kowa Sou

  • easy? no... this is hard ;P

  • "kowa sou" and "kowa soo" have no difference in pronunciation, right? (I can't speak japanese, I just know a few words, it's kind of similar to my native language, spanish, so I don't have much problems)

  • A quality lesson my friend, thank You :) !

  • Nice glasses.

  • 5:13 Instead of saying, "How do I look like," say "How do I look."

This is the way a native English speaker would most likely say it.

  • @PocketDrummer I agree, except I would end it w/a question mark. :)

  • @zipurlip2 Lol, I didn't realize I did that. You're absolutely correct.

  • @PocketDrummer guess it comes under, "being human!" :oD

  • I though English was a hard language to learn. The wrong and right pronunciations sound the same to me. Is this more for the spelling?

  • wow thank you! Looking forward to more japanese lessons from u =D

  • I love how you say "retter" instead of letter :)

  • Kowa sou desu ne aiaiaiaiai!

  • kowa sou! :D

    怖そう

    とても怖そうW!

  • 2:59 i absolutely freaked out i was like "OMFG ITS VEGETA AND GOKU!!!!!!!!!!" im such a big fan of DBZ

  • kowa sou! :D muchas gracias por subir estos vídeos!

  • By taking the last letter away you shorten or loss the last vowel on that word.

    Kowai + Sou = Kowa-Sou [Koh-Wah-Soh]

Thanks this helps me a lot - Will keep watching for more Vid's on Lessons, Cooking, Etc.

    DBZ Rocks

  • those glasses are kowai @_@

  • Thank you for a very useful lesson :D

  • so it looks like water is miz sou not mizu sou?

  • @Arkemn The answer is mizu mitai. when you express using noun, don't use sou.

use mitia or no-you. mizu mitai or mizu no-you. sou is for adjective.

  • We just covered this in class! 美味しそう=It looks delicious. 美味しいそう= I heard it is delicious. 美味しいよう= It seems delicious.
