@ItsFrankieBoy Because he gave so much of himself to others, as well as financially backing and donating so much of his time along w/Cyndi Lauper to The Multiple Scelerosis Society, So in my humble opinion that makes him a hero!!
Do the Mario! Swing your arms from side to side. Come on, it's time to go. Do the Mario! Take one step, and then again. Let's do the Mario, all together now! You got it! It's the Mario! Do the Mario! Swing your arms from side to side. Come on, it's time to go. Do the Mario! Take one step, and then again. Let's do the Mario, all together now! Come on now. Just like that!
I never liked Lou. I was ringside at a match back in either 1970 when Lou was managing Tarzan Tyler. Some 12 year old wanted his autograph and was standing below the ring trying to get Lou's attention. Lou jumped out of the ring and punched the kid in the face. The boy was bleeding above his eye and Lou ran like the coward he was. I can't like or miss such a man.
hi this is the grandson of captain lou albano. I am as well named louis albano. I just ant to say I am so glad there are people in this world that care and remeber him enough to make a great video like this. Thank you. If he was around today he would say" God Bless You"
check out the look on the female commentator - she's not feeling his passion. Capt Lou was awesome - those were the days when wrestling was at it's best
That man rules for making a tribute to Captain Lou, the girl clearly has no idea who he's talking about, but god bless the Young Turks guy for making a tribute to one of the most influential men in the wrestling industry.
Whenever I think of Mario, I think of Lou Albano's portrayal. He gave the character a certain gruffness that is sadly lacking that other dork's version.
My father was a friend of this man, & I live near him. He was a great man, & a U.S. Army veteran. He was one of the few celebrities that was a good person. And the only celebrity I ever looked up to.
Good job, Cenk. I want to thank you personally for paying your respect for this great man.
lou was a nice person, i have met him. he was rambunctious thouhg behind the scenes in wrestling alot of the wrestlers talk about how tempermental he was backstage!
Fuck yeah! I was hoping I'd look in the comments and see a Mario reference. I'm glad others will remember him for his personification of a loved classic video game character. Of course, now I have that song stuck in my head . . .
Cenk another big fan of wrestling, look at Ana noplussed face, she has no idea what cenk talking about. Condolescences for Captain Lou Albano's family that a stalwart of the wrestling world has died.
This was unexpected. He was really a fun guy. My brother and I used to watch the WWF quite a bit. Let's not forget he was in music vids. Cyndi Lauper. So long memories.
delivered memorable promos that made him wrestling's most villainous manager.
Man, natural causes, well finally.
Death fucking sucks. Death, we all got to close eyes. Hey, average person says I'm going to be there tommorrow. And it is a dance. Then tommorrow he's killed in a car accident.. Death sucks but Capatin Lou, survived weigh longer than most wrestlers and twice Eddie Guerrero.
Yeah I know "asshole" I was agreeing with you. Not every person on here is trying to be a hating troll prick...although ya wouldn't know it by the way people are.
The greatest manager of all times. My favorite quote of his: "He has the brain of a dehydrated b-b, put it in a parakeet, it'll fly backwards". Albano had a good heart outside the ring with his tireless work for Multiple Sclerosis. This was a sad day. RIP, Captain!
NpjbEnterprise, it's cause she's got a fab set of nana's and is semi-cute. obviously. But ur right. she does seem a bit uncomfortable with this story.
Ted Turner should share some of the blame for buying NWA and having no promotional knowledge to wrestling marketing. He might not have the whole thing to Vince
I have a friend who met Captain Lou a couple of times. He has nothing bad to say about the guy. Condolences to his family & friends. He was an entertainer!
