  • This video went viral on Burundi

  • the tee went further than my drives :/

  • I have the exact same swing as bubba watson, I keep thinking my club is too low when its behind me as i've brushed the back of my collar a few times, but its the only way i can hit its straight

  • @TheBrainwashable55 me too dude its probably different my shaft has to touch my nech or i mess up

  • @TheBrainwashable55 +1... I'd been focusing on keeping the shaft paralel to the ground for so long, lots of practice, not further, no overswing, and after 3 months... I watch myself in a video and... I see that huuuge overswing xDDD it's the only way I can work it. I'll send you a video xDD I love Bubba btw I'm not ashamed of my overswing.

  • His swing isn't the prettiest but i love it cuz it's unique and he hits the piss out of it. And he hits his iron shots so high.

  • he hits a HUGE fade

  • I Never noticed how open his stance is at setup...crazy good swing.

  • @justinp766 yeah he was def hitting a fade here. He can rip a nasty draw too, the man never hits it straight.

  • @Okesupinus

A complete opposite to me I just wanted to hit long and straight.

Work it when i need to.

  • @justinp766 He loves to not hit the ball straight. I think he brings exciting back to the game thats lost it a little bit.

  • He's got crazy flexibility to go that far back while keeping a straight right arm. This is not a text book swing that others can emulate

  • not pretty swing. not someone I would watch

  • @69cookieboy1 so you'd rather watch someone with a "gorgeous" swing with no wins? .........huh..

  • @remmy100 probably, because it may be other aspects of the game that keeps them from winning such as chipping and putting. but it's still fun to watch someone who swings beautifully, gracefully and effortlessly. don't get me wrong i like to watch bubba but i aint watching it for the swing beauty thats for fuckin sure, it looks like a train wreck that just holds together somehow and he goes at it so hard it looks like he'll do a valve at any moment lol

  • @silowhore thats understandable. My favorite golfer is Sergio Garcia simply because I like his swing and I like watching him play.

  • Swings like Mike Austin..

  • his numbers are very close to LDA guys 130 mph and 190 mph ball speed , true long hitter

  • This guy can absolutely fucking destroy a golf ball...

  • I'm wondering is he hitting a fade here or does he open his stance so he can clear his hips better?

  • @jasondukebaird probably hitting a cut of some sort. from what ive heard he hardly ever hits the straight ball.

  • @Krazy5771 I've heard that too, that's cool. When I saw him at Torrey Pines this weekend he started his drive at the canyon and it ended up on the left side of the fairway. He's fun to watch.

  • @jasondukebaird he could be opening his stance to rotate his hips better, thats probably a big reason why he gets so much power in his swing

  • @dbhbtst For sure, he's amazing.

  • his arm covers his whole face

  • Man, he can rip the ball. It even sounds different on TV.

  • My favorite golfer who isn't Irish along with Dustin Johnson.

  • He has a massive hip turn...now that is a power swing!

  • SO MANY WANNABES MAKING COMMENTS.. WAS YA'LL HANDICAP? CAN YA'LL EVEN BREAK PAR?

  • lol johnny miller saying bang!!! hahaha

  • i he crossed at the top or is it the camera angle?

  • @Nightwing690 of course he crossed but thats because his arc is so big he really cant help it. he makes it work though dont he?

  • Bubba Watson the Southpaw John Daley, amazing fantastic talent rips the Old Course apart, have you seen Bubba swing no then be quite. Bubba is quite possibility the best driver of the golf ball since Moe Norman Bubba we love you, come on back the European Tour needs you

  • @foxhay He is a great driver. What I love mostly are his stats when hitting. Avg SS ~125-130, Launch Angle ~ 16*, Spin ~ 1800

  • @MAlatinboy super impressive actually

  • He hits it a good deal farther than Daly. Daly has a crazily huge arc for his height, but Bubba's almost half a foot taller than Daly and has an even bigger arc. He uses his long, limber, body, not big muscles, to get mindblowing length. Also, everything about Bubba is relaxed.....the way he talks, the way he walks, the way he swings. He takes his time, doesn't get ahead of himself, waits for the hit. He has something in common with the amazing supple Fred Couples, still crushing it at 50.

  • @mobydoug I agree with you on everything, but I read an article about him once. He says he hates the slow rate of play on the PGA Tour. Whenever he plays a practice round, he plays 18 in about 3 hours, never checks yardages much, and has never shot over 70. I think his ADD (not official, but he, his wife, and experts say he most likely has it) gets him out of concentration by having to take so long and having pressure. Glad hge finally broke out of his shell and won a good tournament! =D

  • bubbas a golfing god takes the game to a different level

    p.s nightwing ur a nob

  • He's a birdie machine,he will start winning the big one's

  • I love Johnny Miller's commentary

  • thats all he can do is hit it long, ha cant score worth a shit

  • @Nightwing690

this guy consistently shoots in the 60's on PGA Tour set up courses, has almost won several times at the highest possible level of golf, and is making millions a year...id say hes scoring pretty damn well!! u fukin 22 handicapper....

  • @MFBueno63 you are wrong sir, im a consistent 5.3

  • @Nightwing690 Bubba Watson just won the Travelers chief. I think he can score pretty well.

  • beautyful shot but i hate the legs(not only the right one)! look @ john daily for an amazing drive

  • talk about happy feet, he really lifts that front foot up a lot, but hey it works for him

  • holy mary thats thats a wildly powerful swing, he's standing on the right side of the ball too!!! :P

  • hey you guys should check out Authur Debolt... he is a true power hitter with great touch.

  • HAHAHA, when I read this I checked it out....my god that is funny!

  • nigga's crazy

  • he is long for a pga pro, but short compared to zuback, fister or dobbyn. These guys outdrive him by at least 40+ yards with the same driver he has. They are professional long drivers and hit it 400 yards+.

  • how it should be true?

he has perfect technic, speed and is one of the longest on the whole tour.

all the long guys on the tours are long in the statistics but if they hit with 100%, they are 40 yards and up longer. for example look at tiger woods, he is long but if he wants to reach a green with one hit carry he gives 100% and is really long...

  • ur an idiot hes a pro and works on all parts of his game. those fag long frivers work on hitting it far

  • yeah but those guys don't make the dough, if the pga a was all about distance tiger wouldn't be #1

  • OR DALY

  • yea um not to mention the fact that long drivers use different drivers than he does with shafts meant to go only long. not controlled. and he probbaly to hit it just as far as they can

  • I must correct you here: Long Drivers are permitted shafts of up to 50"; Watson uses a 44.5" shaft.

  • shafts can only be 48 inches in LDA and USGA. LDA measures club length from the butt to mid-sole of the club head, and the max is 50 inches

  • his swing is like mine. its not textbook but it works :D i am a scratch golfer and i dont " shorten my swing and use an overlap grip" i go to parallel and use an interlock lol

  • I am suprised at how much he lifts his front foot on the backswing. I do that as well and my instructor told me i shouldnt do that becuase it makes you lose power. But u cant argue when bubba does this and hes been the longest hitter on tour for what 2 or 3 years now!!!

  • absolutly right. i do teh same thing but i lose power, too.

  • dont listen to any pro who says you shouldnt lift your heel, i mean bubba does it as youve said and there are also two other pros i can think of that does this... JOHN DALY and JACK NICKLAUS

  • and jack michelson

  • AND JACK NICHOLSON

  • who the hell is jack michelson? do you mean Jack Nicklaus or Phil Mickelson?

  • *lol*

    jack nicholson *g*

    the actor is pro? ok.

  • nah its not the actor, jack nicholson... its jack nickluas, the holder of 18 majors...

  • check out Authur Debolt on expert villiage

  • absolutely nothing wrong with lifting the heel, it can increase range of motion and allow for a better plant, like a baseball player who steps into the pitch so the can plant their front side before they swing.

  • if you hit it solid when u lift ur front foot up then stick with it...if u dont then listen to your instructer derr lol

  • Okay yes he can hit it quite far, but some would say not far enough. Lets be honest and look at the stats shall we? He was obviosuly born to hit it quite far, but lately? He hasent improved atall. His one of them people who cant be boverd to train hard and get better at what his already decent at, which hurts me emotionaly. It really does scar me to see this sort of action. If he doesent practise on not only his drives, but his putting aswel, his never going to be considerd a decent golf player.

  • never going to be considered a decent golf player?? Can we at least all agree here that if someone is making a living on the PGA TOUR, we can consider them to be a "decent" golfer?

  • andybarnard91 your a fucking moron. The guy is on the pga tour making over a million a year!Im a 2 handicap and consider myself a "decent golfer". And where did you learn to spell?

  • hard to hit fairways on tour when you hit the ball 350 off the tee. Stand on a tee box and look at the 350ish area in the fairway...doesn't look very wide. Is it possible to be too long?

  • We all know he can hit it a mile....So throw it down grab a 9.5 or a 2 iron keep it in play and he can chip and putt as good as Tiger. His problem is his HEAD! He has a TON of talent but cant get off himself. ME ME ME ME....

Back off the driver and youll make more cuts! Boo backed off his to under 300..Stats = Money...These guys are good!

  • best comment ever

  • He is one of the few that uses the Moe Norman Single plane, shaft in single plane through center of spine. Then he swings like a baseball player full extension and load to backswing side. Then full push and rotation to target. Notice hips face the target right before impact like home run hitters. Releases the torqe or wrists at last possible moment before impact. This is the Mike austin Part of his swing. So He has Part Moe Norman And Part Mike Austin which make him Long and straight.

  • notice that every golfer's hips face target right before impact

  • sorry, but this is not a single plane swing..... l2understand moes swing

  • This guy is going to do big things in the near future, It is true he doesn't hit a lot of fairways, but he can work the ball with the best. And last time I checked it seems like hitting fairways is overrated out there anyways........Tiger Woods? Phil? Vijay?

  • Check how his hips move so much before the hands have even shifted awesome.

  • when you lead the pga tour in driving distance, then we will talk about bubba sideburns

  • WOW. The poor caddie probably has to pick up his tees about 20 yards from the tee-off after every shot - LoL

  • nobody can hit the ball longer i think. he is big´, strong and have the perfect powerrotation

  • shave that shitty sideburns off

  • its because his driver is 6.5 degrees

  • ever notice how high the ball is on his tee.

  • he was at my course hitting balls for teh members. and for an outing. he is deeeeepppp
