There is one thing i wander. Some of you say there is a interview with the producers etc that states: big secret in the pilot and that Jacob did apear in an earlyer episode but did not speak. Where did you fined that and when was the statement released form Jacob?

I think jacob is the guy from the very first episode the pilot i think he is the pilot not the one killed by the monster the one who comes flying out of the cocpit when jack hammers the door the guys who made lost even said somthing big happens in the first episode they all so said that you do see jacob but he dosn't speak i may be totally wrong but its worth watching he could of crashed the plane onto the island.

no seriously, the makers of the show said there's a BIG secret en the first episode and will be shown on the end of the season involving a non-speak character...vincent is the second character shown on the entire show and he lead some of the survivors on a few ocations...

every time in lost someone has said "the island will" or "i need to speak with the island", they mean jacob. in season one locke said "this island have to sides, one clear and one dark", the dark side of the island or dark side of jacob is obviously the black smoke (remember that flashforward: jack saw his father in the hospital and the fire alarm start sounding... smoke?) the death people that appear to the characters come to speak in the name of jacob.
also, locke is noy so speacial..

claire is in the cabin because she obvoiusly die. remember the psych keep staring at her until sawyer tell him to stop.she die in the explosion.
now remember, claire was told that she was the only one that have to raise aaron, otherwise realy bad things will happen. if she is dead, the world is in serious troubles.

I believe Jacob is Aaron, but from the future. That would explain why Christian, Aaron's Granddad, and Clare, Aaron's Mom were both being kept in the Cabin, and Why Christian can speak for him.
Also, Aaron hasn't really spoke yet, alright, one word doesn't count.
