Ok...got a question...if Google does not like the affiliate links and will allow you to lose juice from your post, then why doesn't Google use "no follow" in it's own affiliate code? I am using Google affiliate code on my blog Indie Sessions dot com. I've checked their code and there is no "no follow" code in it. Should I be adding this in anyway? Even though it's a Google entity?
@CussinSailor36 Most sites won't give you a nofollow code, no matter who they are, until you specify it yourself. It's not Google's job to make sure the site you post it on has the best link juice possible. Plus, they don't follow a lot of their own advice anyways (like the new content above the fold algorithm change that just came out...most searches show very little content above the fold nowadays - mostly ads).
Good job. This is really helpful. I am a fellow member of VTA. I have just subscribed to your channel - would love to have you subscribe to mine and help support each other.
Hello Pat, This was a very informative 5 seo tips segment. Thanks for sharing so much! You have really mastered this field of Internet Informational/tech world. I can't wait to check out your other videos. Keep up the great work!
Pat, you always have great stuff. I agree with using a keyword in your image alt text but you also need to describe the image. People with visual disabilities use the alt text to know what the image shows (it is read to them by a screen reader since they can't see the picture.) Yes, use a keyword but please also include a brief description so your posts are fully accessible to all.
@jimmy812005 More, as in more than just one from your profile? I don't think you can add more than one, but you can definitely include links back to your websites from your stream!
2) Is there a bulk image uploader plugin somewhere? I've tried to find one but no dice. I saw that there are some things you can do but you would have to change the source code which I don't want to touch.
Thanks Pat, I was not adding rel="nofollow" to my affiliate links before which apparently is a pretty bad idea. I'll be changing my Pretty Link Lite plugin to do a 301 redirect with "nofollow" from now on. This will definitely help out my SEO, I really appreciate it.
Pat, great 5 tips and I would provide you with one - reduce the number of plugins on your blog... seems like you have over 50 installed. If you are not using some plugins it would be better to delete them :)
@SmartPassiveIncome Pat I know about the Heil, but isn't that a lapel mic that you have on in the video? Are you using both of them at the same time? Thanks.
@MsIleaneSpeaks Ohh - yeah doh sorry! I totally forgot I had that beginning part with the lapel. It's a wireless AZDEN WMS-PRO - and it's "just okay" - I still am looking for Heil quality sound with a lapel mic but have yet to find it.
@SmartPassiveIncome LOL! Well if you haven't done a post showing your set-up with it - please do! I'm not an "audio snob" but I do want to sound good and I think this one sounds just fine. Thanks!
@aldin30 A lot of plugins, yes, but they don't slow my site down too much - they don't have a ton of javascript and things that take up too much loading time, if any at all.
@MagzParmenter I would at least change the images. With the permalinks, making changes could create some dead links on your site or other sites that link to you. Just keep that in mind for the future - again, it's not a HUGE thing, but it's just one of those small things that could help over time.

Hi Pat, All,
I found that the "Advanced Link" option was not enabled by default in TinyMCE Advanced.
You can do this in WP Admin > Settings > TinyMCE Advanced > And its a check box near the bottom
