I am sorry for my english: This dog is originally from the Czech Republic. His owner, Mr.Bartoš, lost him 6 years ago. He already doesn´t believe he could find his dog (named Harik). When he saw him in TV, he took his things, money and went x hundred kms to get him back. But what happened? POLISH peoples found him (and everybody should thanks them for that), but this action is big publicity for Poland, so why should they give him back? VERY POOR STORY!!

this dog was drifting on the ice floe on Vistula river to Baltic sea for 4 days in minus 25 C temp., what a great will to survive and these great people from Baltica boat that made this effort, most ppl would say it's JUST a dog!

This dog was seen 5 days earlier on the river but the fire fighters couldn't rescue him as it was to dangerous. Everyone thought he will freeze to death and then this miricle happened. It was ridiculously cold then. Up to minus 25C!!!

The guy who rescued the dog is AWESOME !, you all ship crew are the best !.

The dog was called "Baltic" and he's now part of the ship crew, the captain decided the dog is part of the crew, Stories like this one give me faith in humankind. BALTIC, you rock , sweetheart !

Big thanks to the Polish crew that took the time to save this poor dog's life! 4 people have come forward to claim the dog but the dog didn't wag his tail for any of the people so the crew won't give the dog up. The tail is the giveaway for dogs. Crew named the dog "Baltic"..too cool!

The dog stays on this ship. Some people reported to it's crew claiming it's their dog, but Baltic didn't recognize them and finally the captain decided to not to search owners any more. Baltic stays at Baltica and according to latest videos in polish TV he seems happy with that :)

That's true. He was rescued by sailors from Sea Fisheries Institute in Gdynia. The research vessel name is "baltica" so the dog's name is Baltic. Now he is a member of the crew.
