  • Give me the crash test ratings then i'll think about making a purchase in 15 years

  • This video is a favorite on Vienna

  • I am anxious about the potential of the availability of flying cars. I believe it will turn into another wealth trend and produce many millionaires & billionaires.

  • I have one

  • @grover5793 I'd like to see a picture of yours if you do not mind. send a photo to jjohn_74@hotmail.com

  • why don't they just make the wheel and the stick the same thing and make it a wheel like you see in airplanes?

  • the wings will cause more accident than a regular car. not recommended!

  • NiCe..

  • I wonder what percentage of the time a typical owner would spend flying to driving this vehicle? Also, would it be allowed to take off and land on a public road, or do you have to drive to a local airfield to take off?

  • that's too much work for an average person to fly this thing.

why not just have a computer fly for you?

  • @johnson1095 YOu sound like you have doubts in people's ability

  • the whole idea of a flying car, is that normal people with no flying experience what so ever can fly it at anytime without any restrictions like "Airports", good project though ;)

  • everything is not right

  • I'm sure as an experienced pilot, he knows that's not all an airplane has.

  • Nice chitty chitty bang bang there, but it would still pretty much need an airport to take off.

  • @Rickyrab There is a runway every 30 minutes drive from each other in the US already.

  • Price, driving/flying licence, take off and landing space makes it a very unappealing proposition.

Take London for example, I would love to be able to fly around it in one of these but the lack of space makes it impossible to take of or land pretty much anywhere. And if you plan to take or land on motorways other drivers would have to empty the adjoining lanes.

Not trying to be a downer, I live this kind of stuff but your plane seems a bit useless for most people.

  • @Ashitaka255 Same here. That's why I'm more of a fan of the Moller SkyCar by Moller International. It's a VTOL aircraft capable of taking off from your driveway then translating itself into forward flight up to 300 mph. Granted the project has had some downs, but of everything I've found so far, he has the best idea/prototype. ...in my opinion.

  • @Ashitaka255

I don't know if this machine is a good idea or not, but flying in and out of London isn't an option for any single-engined aircraft, vertical T-O or not. I think that rule applies to pretty-much all of Europe - don't know about the U.S. So, if it does get the go-ahead from the U.K. C.A.A., it will have to be operated from an airfield of some description, and will most likely not be allowed into controlled airspace.

  • i want one

  • this shit will kill so many ppl

  • You should also include submarine abilities... ;)

  • and how much is this??

  • @mlm74799 about 250,000 usd, it's not expensive for an airplane, in my opinion.

  • @fisarmonicista no your right

  • I'd like a right-hand drive version so I could fly it with my right hand (but OK no biggie) ... *puts first $ in piggy bank for buying one*

  • I love airplanes and flying cars since I was 7 years old I had a dream of flying cars and now there are flying cars I am so glad the FAA past the flying car too I love airplanes and I love flying cars sincerly Nadine Dambra

  • Mollers skycar must feeling really stupid after this...

  • @JaiHindArbhav OMFG I love you for tht comment

  • how stable is it?if you just knock something over in your garage, will it really injure the plane?

  • In 20 years, terrafugia is going to be the kia of flying cars

  • on the site it says ''cargo area holds golf clubs''

guess they know the twats that are their target market

  • Why not have the steering wheel double a yoke in flight mode?

  • @sybaris720 would be too complicated to link up to the flight surfaces, as well as probably unstable.

  • @sybaris720 ikr

  • It would be nice if some of the controls (such as displays) could have a shader that drops down (Or if they pop up like the new navigation systems) so they are not a distraction while driving.

  • lol it looks like he's grabbing a d**k lmao

  • i am so glad that most people that drive cars are not allowed to fly :)

  • You need at LEAST 2000 feet of runway to take off in the dinkiest of airplanes... who's to say you couldn't land on a deserted highway 5 miles out from some small town, gas, and do it again? Granted, roads are not as well maintained as airstrips.

  • @viziermoo 2000' is a lot

  • What people don't really notice is that this is a "roadable aircraft", not a flying car. It's an *aircraft* that can use roads. So you still have to be a certified pilot to be able to fly this. You still need to fly from one airport to another airport (no chance of taking off or landing on a road), and the pilot will have to abide by all aviation regulations when in the air. It's a reasonably priced aeroplane. But you have the wrong idea if you think you can avoid traffic jams by flying to work!

  • This is only the first step to flying cars but with the rate our technology advances, in a few years time i wouldnt be surprised if everyone had a real flying car

  • Dreams coming true

  • @tala12, you are so stupid!!! Just because the Transition drives like a car, does not mean it is intended to take off from the street. It must take off from an airport.

  • That steering wheel would get anoying I say they make it a universal yoke that can switch modes

  • This is no advance craft! The craft look to ugly and how do expect peoples to take off in traffic jam?

This will create more accident above and on the ground. Think before you buy one. It's cost all most £130,000.00 to buy one. Slight accident on the craft then you had it. It more expensive to repair according to news paper. I can't afford one. But if I was a multimillionaire, I will not buy one. It simple as that.

  • @useemeat2007

" But if I was a multimillionaire, I will not buy one. It simple as that."

    Note to Terrafugia sales team:

If useemeat2007 becomes a multimillionaire, don't call... he's got you on the "do not call" list... lol!

  • @useemeat2007 This craft was not made for a multimillionaire. Its made for middle class specifically for people that love to fly and cannot afford a craft and shelter fees. Lastly, I hope you were joking about the taking off in traffic... Wow ignorance is bliss! hahahahaha

  • That is just TOO FUCKING COOL!!!Remember though,no texting while you fly.

  • yeah.... now how do i land it near my house?

  • Just install a yoke control that way you have not only driving/steering control but when you switch to flying, you have that as well.

  • nice cocktail sweet

  • you fly it with your LEFT HAND?!?! yah. you should just make the wheel able to control the vehicle once its in the air. cuz yah. thats kinda messed.

  • these is stupid, how is these thing suppose to take off in traffic, if cars are to close to one another, + you need a lot of space to take off, and to land. these is just a bunch of BS for BS people to buy!!!!

  • @tala12 blaah ur jealous cause you cant buy a personal plane like this :D hehe

  • @tala12 u don't take off on the road... u do it an an airport. After you land at the next airport, you can use it as a regular car.

  • @tala12 If you have nothing meaningful to say, say nothing.

  • @tala12 "these is stupid"...that's hilarious.

  • I want one this

  • @Arapp186

    I can't wait to get one so that when my friend asks why we're getting on a runway and where we're going, I can say to them;

    "Where we're going..."

    *puts on shiny shades*

    "...we don't NEED roads."

    *YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!*

  • 1:34 damn right you have a stick

  • lo difícil va estar en que hay que cuidarlo al límite para poder volarlo todo el tiempo. evitar choques por ejemplo ya sea en carretera, tránsito o en el propio garaje. la más mínima pérdida aerodinámica perjudicaría el vuelo.

  • @FordMazda3. One can only dream

  • plz let topgear test one of these things... James May has his pilot's lisence and the publicity would phenomenal!

  • How does it do in the rain? .... it lacks wipers = FAIL! :(

but then again few SLA aircraft have windshield wipers because of aerodynamics and also they're only to be flown in VFR conditions

  • oh my got, this avion-car have WINDOWS XP . Aaargh¡ danger!!, think all , window blue screen and SPLASH!! crashes with the earth. And after you must ask to bill gates because avion-car had a blue screen window and avion-car crashes with the earth- JA jajaja

  • @samipower WRONG! you are mistaking it for the Moller Skycar. The instruments you see in the cockpit are "glass" panel flight instrumentation and GARMIN GPS

  • @ckaminsk NOT WRONG, you can see windows xp with typical wallpaper and gps , two displays into the car

  • Does it blend?

  • @BoUnC3r. Lol. My thoughts exactly

  • Too ugly, will never buy it. The company does not seem to be very professional. They just want our money.

  • Will future models come with auto pilot?

  • How bout they make one that flies like it drives. Eliminate getting pilot lessons

  • @biggoddi there is alot more than airplane handling. One mistake and it could be your final mistake.

  • @biggoddi Read "stick and rudder" and you will then know why that cant be.

  • But can it float? We need the full trifecta... :P

  • Ejection seat?

  • I don't think this is a way of the future. Reason, people can't even drive safely on the ground. How do you expect them the fly in the air. There will be so many accidents and deaths. Think about it. Drunk drivers on the road....Drunk drivers in the air. Yeah, right! I don't think so!!!!

  • @waseemo86

next time try to takeoff with your porsche

  • You really think this is the future?? It'll need a electric engine or another type of engine, because soon there will be no petrol!

  • too bad the steering wheel wasn't integrated into the yaw and pitch movements in plane mode.

  • good thing is that no one can hijack this plane as there is no space for them...lol

  • hmm so that means i need to get both license rofl

  • Excellent design!

Now they have to swim thru the bureaucratic red tape of DOT crash/impact tests and insurance company approval.

That would be terrific to shed the expense of hangar storage.

My guess is that insurance will be $8,000 per year.

  • Nice looking cockpit

  • @ScottyDog2 haha you said...... nevermind

  • Quick question: does the passenger seat have flight controls as well, or does it look like a normal car?

  • super

  • what?! no cd/mp3/cassett/a-track player :O ! ? wasnt there a hover craft sorta flying car in design a while back that seemed a lot less bulkier than this?
