@oscarfu2000 I don't think British females could compete with Connie. There were many fine voices,but,in this track alone,Connie's voice tackles complex modulations that most other singers would deliberately avoid for fear of being overstretched. Connie Francis was remarkable.

I remember as a kid seeing Ms Francis on the Lawrence Welk show and sing this song. I remember being rivoted to the B/W tv and feeling chills all over my body. Iv'e been playing music and singing since then. Been all over North America on tours ,recorded six records. 40 years later it still sends chills all over my body. I firmly believe music is a time machine in itself.
