Neil Simon did not know before. I had a look at his biography, and then seeing this tribute, I noticed some films that I remember very well!! A great and deserved tribute to this screenwriter!! How can we forget The Odd Couple....
It was a writer at a perfect time...and with the right sense of humor and with the right actors ...and it all fit so well...:) Timing is everything...:) Blessings for the gift...:)
@MADWORLD1427 That is a great joy for me to hear...Filmmakers NEED to hear that...we need to know...the Work matters...that what we share has Human Value...so we may have a legacy...You are always welcome...and Thank you ...:)
Wow, with your video you gave me the part that was missing to discover the name of the Burns/Matthau movie I told you about. It is the Sunshine Boys. Thanks you for that and thank you for this great video.
I didn't know that all of this was written but this one person, Neil Simon. Well, he is an outstanding playwright! All the films are remarkable! Thank you for telling about him!
The first scene was hilarious! A terrific montage, of Neil Simon's work. He really is one of the best, ever. I think that he's too witty for those at the Academy; there has always been great actors in his films. Wonderfully done, Craig! 5☆
thank you for such good memories and enjoyable laughs....i have loved neil simon....wit wisdom& pathos! your the best!....my daughter was in the other room and heard the beginning of your clip.....i know that....neil simon right mom! kiss!
Like the video, Craig. Especially the song. I've only watched four Neil Simon films: Murder by Death (my top favorite), Seems Like Old Times (my second favorite), California Suite (I wasn't a big fan of that movie), and parts of the Odd Couple (my feelings for that movie are between the ones I have for my favorites and the ones I have for California Suite). From these movies, I can tell that Neil Simon has a thing for sharp, witty banter and dialogue.
@suncore598 thank you, the Maggie Smith part in "California Suite" was great, The Walter Matthau part was amusing, the Richard Pryor / Bill Cosbt part less so, and the Jane Fonda / Alan Alda part was boring and lame, that is my opinion at least, loved "Murder By Deah" and "Seems Like Old Times", "The Haeartbreak Kid" is probably his best screenplay, "The Odd Couple", "The Goodbye Girl", "The Out Of Towners", and "Barefoot In The Park" are all classics too!
