Fish don't have a sense of a continuing self so they do not have the right to life. Because if they don't care if they live (and they don't, they can't even imagine themselves in the future) they can't have their interests in their life violated. But pigs, chickens and other such animals have a right to life because they have a sense of a continuing self, and should not be killed. Even fish should be killed without pain...That is my view (however unorthodox)
