If I think this is going where it is, we're laying out chords in keys? If so, it'll help tremendously in my personal writing. Sir, you are an incredible teacher. Thank you so much.
@TMcR92 Yeah, it's heading there! I've recently made more theory videos that may be of further interest to 'ya and, they build on what I created in there early video lessons. Also, check out Defsharp11 (Jon at Oswin Music) he's a great teacher and covers theory to practical application. Good luck and, if can be of further help, just call. ;)
can it be said that with major scale formula on the I, IV,V we find major chords and on 2,3,6,7 we get minors?..in whatever the base major scale is?(C,D,E,,etc)?.. it's a rule?.Sorry i didn't write these down to see if it is so,but i think i will. BTW your lessons are very very good...you made it for the thick headed like me to understand few things about theory in music! Thank you!
Also, for the scale being laid out horizontally does that mean its in that key? So now are we in the key of C? If we laid out the D scale would we be in the scale of D?
Would I have to draw out that chart for every note to make sure they match horizontally and vertically or can I just take off the sharp on the 3rd note of a major chord to make it minor and add a sharp on the 3rd note of a minor to make it major?
Great videos so far. So just so I can clear things up a little, from your previous video all you do to make a minor chord major is flatten (or take away the sharp) the 3rd note and to make a minor chord major I would sharpen the 3rd note right? So I wouldn't need to make that chart to make sure the notes match up everytime would I?
@SanFranGiants2010 Your horizontal line will have had the minor formula applied: Tone, Semotone, Tone, Tone, Semitone, Tone,Tone. So the result will quite be different. Don't confuse scales with chords though.
@guitarnub3 Thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, I come across as very boring and the lessons are slow. The public are conditioned to expect video and TV to sexed up and exciting now so, these lessons have no chance. I should have drawn sexual characters throughout and had some Cheerleaders flaunt their tits etc! That would have got attention.

@vladknz07 That's correct! (the 7th is a diminished) The major acronym is: M,m,m,M,M,m,dim Thanks for your comment. ;)

Also, is all this chords being major and minor based off the C scale? Can I lay a D across and do it?
