Ean Golden live in Berlin with Traktor

Thank you for always putting up tutorials on youtube for us new DJ's to learn from. I have a problem with my Traktor Pro2 latency settings. The speakers click or pop when I'm on it for 10 minutes or more. I've tried to move the processing between 2.9mm to 13.1mm, but still haven't found the right settings for it. I'm using Traktor S4 and my subwofer is Harbinger HP118S and the speakers are both yamaha DSR115 and i'm using a macbook pro. The wifi is off. Any advice?

Hey Ean, about 13 seconds into the video there is shot of your screen running Traktor. I was curious what all we're seeing there, and honestly the layout completely different than anything I've seen in Traktor. Could you maybe shed some light on that?

"cue points" : "samples", what are samples..? cue points. What doesn't quite make sense to me is his ability to use so many different types of instruments at once. Example: keyboard, rock ban guitar, midi controller, beat pad.

For people who haven't figured it out yet. I am pretty sure he has samples attached to the key of his keyboard. Apparently he also has an effect module, MIDI controller (of some sort) and a turn tables of which he probably uses for scratching. NOt sure though.

second there aren't any saved samples just cue points in traktor which he can access wich his midi controller (VCI-100, and his oxygen 8)

If your "not sure"then dont offer suggestions buddy. he's a controllerist. Hes using multiple midi interfaces (oxygen8 and modified vci100 running a foot pedal) running through traktor. Alot of what he does is cue point juggling

hes using the keyboard as a MIDI device. Basically he is programing the keyboard to launch a clip, (the voice of the guy), you can program any button to do what hes doing, he just chooses to you a keyboard

I give a lot respect to all DJ's who are willing (and able) to experience different music styles in a fresh and original way. I think Ean is one of the Pioneers in digital dj'ing and inspires a big bunch of dj's out there.

thanks, I am just grabbing points on the vocal free style and playing them using a delay in Traktor. none of that was pre-rehearsed, it was just an on the fly mix that happened to work very well together.
