  • "Win the 'pursuit of happiness' now;

    Catch it with the joy of being a humanitarian."

  • HeartDoc Andrew is further reminded that from the 1st 2 Summits (2010 & 2011) we've learned that in order to receive the Spirit of Volunteerism, we must choose to care **plus** choose to "tarry" to find out needs that aren't wanted. We really need the Spirit of Volunteerism in order to be able to give people what they don't even know they need. We, especially those of us who are physicians, really need the Spirit of Volunteerism in order to be the humanitarians we all know we should be.

  • HeartDoc Andrew is reminded that a wise physician once said "One of the essential qualities of a physician is an interest in humanity, for the secret of the care of the patient is in caring for the patient." (Dr. Francis W. Peabody to medical students at Harvard on 10/21/26). Yes, physicians should be humanitarians like KidDoc Neil, StreetDoc Jim, and ClownDoc Patch :-)

  • Dear Tessa, Laus Deo for your kind thoughts and His answering by blessing right now (Lk6:21a). It is His joy placed in our minds for doing the good works that He has planned in advance for us to do that allow us to have enduring smiles :-) Be hungrier, be ye, for it's the IMVC :-)

  • thank you, God! This is what you want!!! Reach me at tessvowels@yahoo.com... I have no money, but I can pray... when I was younger, I did mission work in Mexico & know what humanitarian hearts look like! They smile! :-)

  • Very cool :-) May all seeing this documentary be inspired to sign up to join the IMVC movement at the I'M Very Cool dot org web site at Emory University and to tell all their friends about IMVC.org --> Be hungrier, be ye (bye), for it's really the IMVC

  • Thank you for this incredible gift. When ever I feel discouraged or frustrated with my work in public health and patient advocacy I will watch this video and relive the joy that comes with being a humanitarian and sharing my mission with the people I met at the Global Health and Humanitarian Summit. Let the movement thrive!
