Wow, this guy was a total jackass... All they were gonna do was escort him, he brought everthing on himself... And even at the end after he'd been tazed and that that fun stuff, he was still being loud and trying to draw as much attention to himself as possible. I've never wanted attention so much that it was worth getting tazed over... Oh, and I'm pretty sure I heard Kerry answering his questions as he was resisting arrest...

This goes to LegendSaber, or anyone else who can't see what is wrong here. It does not matter how much of a crazed, pretentious, conspiracy-theorizing prick this kid may have been; the issue is that he was tazered, after being subdued, after being pushed to the ground, and all in response to a non-violent incident. It was a gross abuse of power. This kid wasn't a danger to anyone; whatever impression his attitude may have had on you is utterly irrelevant.
I worked in security for almost 10 years, but have never seen a more unprofessional display by ANYONE in a position of law enforcement. They tazed this kid AFTER he was in the ground and AFTER he was cuffed. Did they really find necessary to taze him when he was already restrained and posed harm to no one?
There was no reaon for it at all. The officers should be fired and charged criminally PERIOD.
I agree. Being a rich kid, or a punk, or being liberal are all great reasons for getting tased by the police. I would love an America if every annoying person that spoke his/her mind was tased by the police. If we all work together and give police that kind of power, we can reach that kind of utopia I've been hoping for. After all, hasn't history taught us that the great societies are the ones where the government threatens or arrests you for saying things that others don't approve of?
Fantastic - That kid was a little rich kid punk with too much time on his hands - It just doesnt get any funnier than someone getting tased , especially one who deserved it !
"Anybody, wanna come with us...anybody, anybody".. fucking pathetic. They're the UFPD you schmuck, think they're gonna shoot you in the head and toss u in Lake Alice?
Damn I hate this kid. Thanks so fucking much for dragging UF's name through the mud, you useless douchebag.
uhhh "YEP" even though he didn't comply with the officers, they are not supposed to TASE you if they already have you in HANDCUFFS especially when there is one person in question against 5 police officers. so i guess you're a fucking putz for leaving THAT out.
If he pulled out a firearm and this ended with the death of John Kerry, several officers, students and bystanders, you would all be bitching about how they didn't do enough. This was NOT a man calmly reciting a question through a microphone, this was a violent zealot screaming his opinion and accusing the Senator in a VERY aggressive manner.
If they were worried about firearms they would have search everyone prior to entering. I'm not sure what video you were watching but the only violence I saw was the police taking this guy away and tazing his ass. This is a clear violation of this kid's constitutional rights.
Unkn0wnGuy: I was speaking hypothetically, the fact is if you watch the videos he CLEARLY makes a dash for the U.S. Senator before being subdued.
And Constitutional rights don't apply to a regulated public forum, which is what this event is. If he wants to scream like a fool, he should try doing it in a park next time.
Yep, he did not comply with officers, that's why he was tazered. Apparantly there are several million of you fucking putz's that leave that part of the equation out.
Griever213; Here's an idea, actually WATCH the videos of this prick making a fool of himself before jumping to rash conclusions. It's CLEAR he was a roving maniac and wasn't going to shut up. And don't even TRY to play the freedom of speech card; if someone breaks into your house and verbally assaults you, is that 'freedom of speech' too? Learn the Constitution, learn what this idiot did, then we'll talk.
Yep watched all videos. Definitely not poor man with his freedom of speech being stomped on. He kinda looked nunts, and it seems like the guy was gona talk for 2 hours since John Kerry got to talk for 2 hours.
You either have freedom of speech, or you don't, there's nothing in between because then it is no longer free, so I don't see why the US is so proud about their "freedom" of speech when they don't have it.
thats not about freedom of speech. he was been adick at an organised event. by the same extension a kid could randomly start shouting in a classroom and call it a violation of his freedom of speech when he's thrown out of class. he shouldn't of been tazed though. although kinda funny to watch:)
no there not, there just two random facts. here's another two random facts. people turned up for a civilised debate about politiacl issues with a US Senator. some loud mouth started shouting at him about secert socities
LegendSaber, here's another "if" question: if your generation had been passionate about the government all along; our generation wouldn't be making you "support the troops" with those little sticker ribbons on your car. That are so patriotically made overseas. Can I get a "Love it or leave it"?
Anyone who's seen the full story of this knows the kid is nothing more than a self-righteous prick that got what he deserved.
Violently preaching like a zealot warranted his escort, but he sealed his fate when he made a dash for a U.S. Senator and then resisted the officers TWICE.
He cut in line to the front pissing off the people behind him, went over his time limit, then refused to leave in a clam and orderly way. He got what he wanted- his 15 minutes
Most of the universities have now been indoctrinated with the mentality of the victimhood of Authoritarianism. Events like this reminds me of the great Roman orator Cicero. "A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within" - go read the full speech. USA you have been invaded from within by the Zionist jew neocons.
You give so much credit to the clandestine motives of a '"kid" but don't believe that Presidential candidates have such motives? Pleeease! You have the typical mentality of a victim of authoritarianism.
No, you're not the only one. Even if you don't agree with why you're being arrested, you should still be calm about it. If you're struggling and yelling, the cops will think you might be a danger at any time.
A student goes into a fit(can't control himself) the police intervene(if they do, our rights are being violated, if they don't it's possible he pulls out a gun kills ppl-Remember Virginia Tech???- and then we ask "Why didnt the police jump in and do something!!!"). ppl are paranoid.
Perhaps the guy's outburst was a spontaneous reaction to reading the book. In such a case, the police officers concerned should be immediately suspended. Does anyone know who he is? A student? Did he just wander in off the street? Until those details are known a further possibility exists that he was a plant, and that the whole event was staged as a warning: "This is what happens if you ask questions about secret societies", or a warning to an individual, maybe to Kerry, Bush, or someone else.
22 september worldwide protest Freedom Not Fear - Vrijheid in Plaats Van Angst - Freiheit Statt Angst! We will no longer be afraid. Asking for every concerned man, woman and child to march the streets and hold a peaceful protest under the motto Freedom Not Fear! Get involved before its too late. Were running out of time.
no on has the right to b treated that way i have also been arrested jus for tlkin..police hate it tha wer smarter then them ive seen police beat on people for no reason they jus think they can do wutever they want fuck the police
fuck yea! finally someone has balls to stand up for free speech...as dumb as his was but that doesnt matter...our generation is a bunch of sheep too lazy to stand up to anything. this guy was annoying yes but so what doesnt mean he should be arrested, john kerry didnt mind, the students didnt mind, its a DISCUSSION. 8 cops couldnt just take him out of the room they had to hit him with 50,000 volts. their the real pussies and wimps and whatever you dumbass sheep are calling this kid.
Yes give in to your evil government masters! Bow down and give them your soul as you endure 14 hrs of hard slave labor a day. Dont ask questions of your masters or they will kill you. Dont expose their fraud and lies or they will torture you to death in the most painful ways possible. That's our Land of the "free" home of the brave.
Many people prepare and plan, what are we afraid of? If this can be called "violent, hostile" or "creating disturbance" what does it matter if it is done purposelly or not? Your guilty, take him away, rubish.
obviously he planned it, but inciting a riot was hardly a good reason for arresting him. Even John Kerry was willing to answer his question and said it was a good question. The worst thing he said was "blowjob". If they let Kerry answer the question it would've been over. Maybe question was dumb, or maybe he was being extravagent in the delivery of his message but since when does that constitute arrest? And the whole taser part was just dumb, they already how how many guys on him?
The university has the right eject people from THEIR property at any time. In this case they felt he was disrupting the forum. They asked him to leave, he refused. At that instance he became a trespasser and the officers carried out the lawful ejection from the university property.
It would be cool if we could taser each other for disagreeing, ahha a new PC accessory . Seriously though, I like being able to speak my mind, youtube is amazing.
Is it not required by law that he be read his mirana rights, and told WHY he is being arrested?
Besides that, he was acting like a douchebag. Still, it seems like excessive use of force to me. If they had explained why he was being arre3sted, legally, to him (if they IS a legitamate reason) and he still wouldn't budge, then the use of force would be right in my opinion.
Korean, officers are not required to read you the rights while they are getting the situation under control. Since he was resisting arrest and acting hostile, their priority was to first control the situation.
You get read your rights after you're cuffed and sitting in the back of the squad car, not when you're throwing punches at the officers.
I didn't see him throwing any punches either. He was resisting arrest I THINK (just a guess) because he thought that he had a right to ask his question. That is a whole nother issue, but maybe if they even explained ANYTHING. I didn't hear the officers tell him anything? Maybe I didn't watch/listen closely enough, I don't know.
No, you actually got it right! That's how they are told to act: first arrest without giving a reason (coz they don't have one) and think of one later after dragging the person away. This is exactly how things were handled in my country 60 years ago!
it's funny how the lady officer said there was no taser when in the other video you see him getting tasered and you even hear the cop saying "you'll be tasered" lol. I'm canadian, and i can tell you straight up our RCMP would never stop a student from asking a political question. This is so funny/sad at the sametime for a political science major like myself.
Baka, he wasn't just asking a political question. He was purposely creating disturbance. He had planned and prepared to do it, as evidenced by his immediate overly violent reaction to authority and by his immediate turn to the audience.
You don't watch many political discussions, do you?! Just imagine someone would suddenly grab you from behind, after asking a question and your microphone being cut off the second before that. And imagine he would have let them drag him away without resistance... then we never would have seen these videos! But now everyone in the world knows: you get arrested in the USA for asking the wrong questions.
There are plenty of examples throughout history that prove passivity always prevails. Unfortunately large numbers of people are either enslaved or systematically
exterminated before the change takes place. So many styles, as we can see.
Ancestrally speaking...His paternal line are Czech Jews who took the Irish name Kerry and converted to Catholicism. He always assumed that he was Irish Catholic in a dense Irish Catholic state.
This student is no Rosa Parks. If he wants to make a point, he needs to get training. Rosa trained in non-violent resistance for 9 years before she got on that bus. This kid's a novice and "asked for it" by grandstanding and getting physical rather than going passive. There are better ways to protest. He needs to get his act together. 8 for content. -1 for style.
For those who think that he deservered the treatment he recieved, you might consider yourself in a simalar situation about something you are passionate about. How would you react to being led away in cuffs and tased for speaking out. I suggest you check yourself for socialist tendencies regardless of your political views.
Call the University of Florida campus police and Bitch them out about WHY? They arrested this young man, he did nothing wrong! Call(352) 392-1111 We are all in trouble if we can't speak up! We are all not free, its all false freedom! I hope this guy sues the shit out of them! We all will help this young man get funding for the best lawyers in the country! Call because it will soon be your turn!
fmdsv.. whoa whoa whoa.. they cut peoples hands off an iraq for stealing.. they cane people in china in public.... america's not nearly as intense as other places.. n it generally onlly kills people with heart conditions.. but the guy was out of control.. and he shudnt have been tasered.. but damn.. that was crazy
He was violent toward the officers, he was calling for other students to help him resist arrest, he was accusing the officers of trying to kill him, and he was inciting the public to anger against authority. That's a little more than just "asking too many questions."
This was a stupid 21 Year-old KID! Freedom of Speech is just that, you are free to speak your mind, but it does not mean you disrespect people and cower behind this amendment when it suits you or you are about to get tased!!! I am a Republican and even if I were a Democrat, I would still act like an adult and not make an ASS of myself and go cowering behind amendments that were given to us by the American Soldiers who gave us those rights... Kid, you got what you deserved!!
This KID was tased for resisting arrest idiot. As for questioning politicians, get a JOB and contribute to society before you even make demands MORON!!!
Although this gentleman was excited to ask his questions or rather make his point, in either case where do we the people (including him) speak out? At the polls? on youtube? He was speaking out. It would seem that when those who have the power fear losing it they will do what it takes to keep it. In closing, Would you really want a man who stands by and watches another man be unjustly arrested to be anything other than a follower, much less a leader?. Where are the true leaders?
Its better to be TAZED than shot! I seriously believe these Out of Control Campus Cops / Night Watchmen, would have blown a hole in this student if given the chance! At least he's alive to sue! I don't believe in his political views, but this is supposed to be America! What ever happened to FREEDOM OF SPEECH? A POLICE STATE is attached to the Democratic party.
Considering US-torturing prisons/gulags around the globe, considering [the more or less hidden] US-imperialism, considering the US-drug/weapons-biz etc. I find it NOT surprising at all when people here talk and think and worry about a [growing] police- and military state. ***
You exercised your FREEDOM OF SPEECH AT A DEMOCRATIC "FORUM"! Don't you know, well, I guess you do now, The Dems are SOCIALISTS / COMMUNISTS! With them, YOU HAVE NO RIGHTS! NO FREEDOMS...!" I hope this guy sues the shit out of all connected with this! THIS IS WRONG! I'm ALL FOR law & order, but this was an over reaction by the campus cops / security guards. I hope they don't carry real guns!
His behavior is called "Disorderly Conduct" and failure to obey a Law Enforcement Officer. Note: The officers tried to remove him from the auditorium when he began to "resist" which escalated to additional charges of resisting arrest. He never listened. The more he resisted allowed the officers to take action. Also, if he is a UF student, the handbook states he must have his student ID with him at all times.
Since when is asking a question disorderly conduct? The enforcement officers had no premise to even ask him to leave. He asked a question to Senator Kerry. Nothing he did was physically or verbally disruptive. "Disorderly Conduct" is defined as "tumultous fighting" or "making excessive noise after being asked to stop" and is typically associated with drunken fights and disturbances. Nothing that young man did was disruptive. If anything, this situation was a false arrest. He committed no crime.
Who wouldn't resist arrest when they're trying to detain you without reason? What's his crime, asking "dumb" (subjective) questions? He asked them why he was being arrested and none of them gave him an answer, not one officer answered his question in any of the videos I've seen. And using a taser on him unnecessary force. Nothing, absolutely nothing about his behaviour gave me or anyone else reason to believe that he would become violent.
IS America were freedom of speech is one of our founding principles. For those of you concerned I called the jail were he was held and he was realased this morning after a court apperance. this is F***ing ridiculous.
As if korea or vietnam are the only places that torture...God, you are really dumb. BUSH AND FORMER ATTORNEY GENERAL GONZALES OPENLY SAID THEY TORTURE PEOPLE. The student is asking why they're arresting him wtihout even saying his Miranda rights, and they still tasered him. That's is a complete violation of his basic rights, you idiot.
call me what you want...i was just using vietnam and korea as examples they are NOT the ONLY places where there is torture so read the goddamned comment. I am a cop and we don't have to read miranda rights to someone that is being tased only arrested, honestly they were wrong in that respect. Tasing is only done if the person presents a bodily threat, which i don't think he did. but there are a lot more forceful tactics used that he could've gotten.
ok, i'm getting tired of all you asses outside of our borders judging Americans by one comment. We're not stupid. I'm proud to be one. If you want to lump me with the ignorant ones please go right ahead...I don't have to justify myself to YOU!
I agree he kind of took the mic over, but they could of let Kerry answer the question like kerry said he was going to do. If i was asking a politictian a serious question and some cop grabbed me for no reason i would be pissed and ask why i was being grabbed. Life as a politician is about hard questions and answers.
Hey! Everyone! He's a faker! He staged the whole thing! He does this sort of thing all the time, just to be stupid! He's using the courts and YOU to make him money. He's a capitalist PIG! He's the pig! Hahahahahahahahha! He's creating traffic for his website and to win a nuisance lawsuit! Hahahahahahahaha!
How dare this young man ask a tough question in a civilized manner to a politician! Arrest and taser him immediately! Constitution, freedom of speech, that's only for the politicians, rich and powerful!
Any stupid fuck that thinks that his freedom of speech was violated---HE IS TRYING TO BE LIKE TOM GREEN! Check out his website, his facebook, his myspace. All of them have videos of him doing stupid shit to get attention. This takes the cake. Thank you for showing how foolish the anti-police crowd is.
Beware when the uninformed person attacks and ridicules the informed person! "No one is more hopelessly enslaved than the person who falsely believes he is free" - Johann Goethe
I applaud this guy for demanding answers. What is becoming of this country when a student is beaten and arrested for standing and asking a challenging question. All you fools see are "flapping lips" but here, as with your understanding of political rhetoric, you don't listen to the words and just behave like nice little sheep and react has you're expected to react.
You'd be AMAZED how different the world really is compared to what you think you know about how it and how it is run.
Politicians rarely get asked the tough questions and when they do they are very skilled at misdirecting the questioner until they give up and move on.
lol soylent green factory!!! Ron Paul 2008 for limited gov't. The U.S has 130 bases in 190 countries. Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who voted down all of Bush's and all of Clinton's Nation Building Schemas!!! RP 08
Ron Paul 2008 to stop madness! Official records on these subjects are misleading, although instructive. According to the Defense Department's annual "Base Structure Report" for fiscal year 2003, which itemizes foreign and domestic U.S. military real estate, the Pentagon currently owns or rents 702 overseas bases in about 130 countries and HAS another 6,000 bases in the United States and its territories.
load up your cannons and your guns and remove the current govt they are not on the citizens side.... its Germany 1939 and bush is hitler, Revolution is at hand this is the match and all you idots who post that its the citizens fault are nothing more than bystander allowing others freedoms be removed. just remember when the revolution comes to your door which end of the barrel you will be on....
This fucking smacktard needs to lay off the angel dust and give reality a try. He has got the be the biggest pussy I've seen on Youtube since that homo was crying about Britney Spears.
I do hope the cops have a spare toilet plunger or two laying around, though...
He's lucky the cops were as patient as they were. What a whiner!
What is wrong with the kids these days!?!? They don't even know how to do a "protest arrest" properly!
Kids of America, listen up! Here's how you do it: SIT DOWN AND DON'T SAY A WORD!!! Make them carry you out. If you like, sing "Give Peace a Chance". But whatever you do DO NOT CRY LIKE A LITTLE GIRL like this guy did.
he was charged with Interfering with school administration function. It is being investigated by the state. Not sure about U of F, but I know the Police at LSU are comissioned through the state police, not some "rent-a-cops" like some of you have called the U of F police.

I agree. Being a rich kid, or a punk, or being liberal are all great reasons for getting tased by the police. I would love an America if every annoying person that spoke his/her mind was tased by the police. If we all work together and give police that kind of power, we can reach that kind of utopia I've been hoping for. After all, hasn't history taught us that the great societies are the ones where the government threatens or arrests you for saying things that others don't approve of?

uhhh "YEP" even though he didn't comply with the officers, they are not supposed to TASE you if they already have you in HANDCUFFS especially when there is one person in question against 5 police officers. so i guess you're a fucking putz for leaving THAT out.
siobahnit 4 years ago
If he pulled out a firearm and this ended with the death of John Kerry, several officers, students and bystanders, you would all be bitching about how they didn't do enough. This was NOT a man calmly reciting a question through a microphone, this was a violent zealot screaming his opinion and accusing the Senator in a VERY aggressive manner.
LegendSaber 4 years ago
If they were worried about firearms they would have search everyone prior to entering. I'm not sure what video you were watching but the only violence I saw was the police taking this guy away and tazing his ass. This is a clear violation of this kid's constitutional rights.
Unkn0wnGuy 4 years ago
Unkn0wnGuy: I was speaking hypothetically, the fact is if you watch the videos he CLEARLY makes a dash for the U.S. Senator before being subdued.
And Constitutional rights don't apply to a regulated public forum, which is what this event is. If he wants to scream like a fool, he should try doing it in a park next time.
LegendSaber 4 years ago
So you wanna say they acted correctly? They should taser everyone asking a question at university?
And he can say whatever he wants...that's freedom of speech.
Griever213 4 years ago
Yep, he did not comply with officers, that's why he was tazered. Apparantly there are several million of you fucking putz's that leave that part of the equation out.
KeyboardTrouble 4 years ago
Griever213; Here's an idea, actually WATCH the videos of this prick making a fool of himself before jumping to rash conclusions. It's CLEAR he was a roving maniac and wasn't going to shut up. And don't even TRY to play the freedom of speech card; if someone breaks into your house and verbally assaults you, is that 'freedom of speech' too? Learn the Constitution, learn what this idiot did, then we'll talk.
LegendSaber 4 years ago
Yep watched all videos. Definitely not poor man with his freedom of speech being stomped on. He kinda looked nunts, and it seems like the guy was gona talk for 2 hours since John Kerry got to talk for 2 hours.
GeminiK 4 years ago
You either have freedom of speech, or you don't, there's nothing in between because then it is no longer free, so I don't see why the US is so proud about their "freedom" of speech when they don't have it.
littlenyki 4 years ago
thats not about freedom of speech. he was been adick at an organised event. by the same extension a kid could randomly start shouting in a classroom and call it a violation of his freedom of speech when he's thrown out of class. he shouldn't of been tazed though. although kinda funny to watch:)

troddeddown 4 years ago
Anyone who's seen the full story of this knows the kid is nothing more than a self-righteous prick that got what he deserved.
Violently preaching like a zealot warranted his escort, but he sealed his fate when he made a dash for a U.S. Senator and then resisted the officers TWICE.

Perhaps the guy's outburst was a spontaneous reaction to reading the book. In such a case, the police officers concerned should be immediately suspended. Does anyone know who he is? A student? Did he just wander in off the street? Until those details are known a further possibility exists that he was a plant, and that the whole event was staged as a warning: "This is what happens if you ask questions about secret societies", or a warning to an individual, maybe to Kerry, Bush, or someone else.

obviously he planned it, but inciting a riot was hardly a good reason for arresting him.

Thewhitekorean 4 years ago
Korean, officers are not required to read you the rights while they are getting the situation under control. Since he was resisting arrest and acting hostile, their priority was to first control the situation.
You get read your rights after you're cuffed and sitting in the back of the squad car, not when you're throwing punches at the officers.
Eskareon 4 years ago
This is not in korea.
Thewhitekorean 4 years ago
No, you actually got it right! That's how they are told to act: first arrest without giving a reason (coz they don't have one) and think of one later after dragging the person away. This is exactly how things were handled in my country 60 years ago!
sdddlt 4 years ago
it's funny how the lady officer said there was no taser when in the other video you see him getting tasered and you even hear the cop saying "you'll be tasered" lol. baka86 4 years ago

DestinieD123 4 years ago 2
Since when is asking a question disorderly conduct? The enforcement officers had no premise to even ask him to leave. He asked a question to Senator Kerry. Nothing he did was physically or verbally disruptive. "Disorderly Conduct" is defined as "tumultous fighting" or "making excessive noise after being asked to stop" and is typically associated with drunken fights and disturbances. Nothing that young man did was disruptive. If anything, this situation was a false arrest. He committed no crime.
Shogun1530 4 years ago
Who wouldn't resist arrest when they're trying to detain you without reason? What's his crime, asking "dumb" (subjective) questions? He asked them why he was being arrested and none of them gave him an answer, not one officer answered his question in any of the videos I've seen. And using a taser on him unnecessary force. Nothing, absolutely nothing about his behaviour gave me or anyone else reason to believe that he would become violent.

Pathetic!
