  • hey great vid,,,,,,but y'all look at shot 2:22 looks like the insulation is poop...hahahah

  • Thank you!

  • I'm not sure why you need to fill the water lines with anitfreeze? We had house in the country (pretty severe winters in SE Europe) and every fall my parents would blow the water out of pipes and water heater. Nothing ever cracked. If you have compressor, even better. Hook it up to inlet, open outlet, presurize the pipes and you are done. Maybe put some antifreeze in holding tanks.

  • @oknevals Yes, Blowing the lines out with compressed air will also protect them from freezing up. I have attached a video that shows how to do "Winterize RV with Compressed Air." Thanks for the comment. Best wishes for the comming winter months.

  • I like the added ball cock that was added to the water heater; and the 1/2 inch flex line. that's a nice way of how the experts teach! and how us ' newbies learn... absolutely informally information .. thanks for the help!!

  • I mean, I'm Not so afraid anymore. (;

  • Aww, thanks Jimbow, you rock!!! This will be my first time and after seeing yr video I'm no so afraid anymore. Thank you. Teri from Lansing, MI

  • Excellent. Needed someone to simply show how it's done and I've been well educated in 5 minutes. Thanks a bunch!

  • Great, easy to follow video Jimbow, appreciate the info. I'm a 1st. time camper owner & was just saying to the wife that I need to figure this out. You did it for me. Thanks again. Scotty.

  • Yup, I ran down to the RV last night and turned on the propane heater for the night.. hopefully that helped. I am not ready for snow!!

  • Awesome video Bro.. I am a new owner (and have the exact same trailer BTW! ) Anyhow, I was planning on doing this next week, but tonight I woke up at midnight to 4 inches of snow.. UHG. Guess I;ll be dealing with this today!

  • @treefireguy Thanks for the comment. Sometimes getting an early start can be a blessing - last year I waited till late and then had to travel to the next town to find the pottable antifreeze. If ya'll have any extra snow, send it on down to Texas. It's bone dry down here - even the trees are starting to give up.

  • fantastic video. Thanks for posting.

    Please do a de-winterize video!

  • Great video and really helpful. I'm looking forward to the reverse video for the spring. lol

  • Thank you Jimbow! I just saved $195 that they wanted to charge me at the RV center (-$3.95 lol)

  • Thanks for making this video Jim! Passing on knowledge gained by experience is priceless!

  • Nice video. Just a bit to add is if you have a tap water filter, remember to empty the water in the filter. With our mid winters, I plan on some early spring trips. I plan to re-winterize each time till after first frost has passed.

  • Great informational video, especially for late blooming RV'rs. Thanks. Scotty (Iowa USA)

  • This is probably the most down to earth, easy to understand thing I have ever been a part of! Thanks for sharing. I'm getting ready to do mine soon, because it's starting to get pretty cold here in Anderson, SC. I may or may not make a new video on it. Who knows? Thanks again!

  • @franksg384 Thanks for the positive comment. Hope all goes well with your winterization (and video) project. Have a toasty winter !

  • is really necessary to add the anti freeze? can the lines be left empty by blowing out with air?

  • Great job, thanks for the valuable information!

  • Nice job JimbowT. This is very helpful. I have a question to when I need to winterize. I live in Cincinnati. We have a few nights 25 degree temps in the week ahead, but then going to 50 degress during the day. We have a trip planned next weekend and I'm trying to determine if I need to winterize it now. Any advice?

  • @dougpace1 I live in Texas and don't have to winterize till Thanksgiving... so I'm not to sure about Cincinnati's weather. you might run the RV heater on the nights when needed till your trip comes up or you might want to call a local RV place and ask their advice. Good luck and have a great trip !

  • guess what? We did it..saved over sixty bucks doing it ourselves...thanks again..

  • Great video...you should be on TV!
