OK, I'm obviously confused, but anyways, so there is no point of visualization b/c the me that I think is in control doesnt actually have any power but needs to request permission from another source. So the road Im on is the one meant to be? Wow, if this source wants me to live the way I am, not really sure it has my best interest in mind. And, anything I try is probably not going to work. I think we could all play Devils Advocate with "Visualization. But I know for my self, i have a career where goal setting is key. From my pay, sales volume, etc.

Year after year, I have done goal setting, and visualised them and killed them every year. I should mention that every year I have double my sales, therefore more than doubling my pay ;)

Not easy to do EVERY YEAR!! But it works!!!!

My wife and i have manifested, cars, money, homes, jobs, pets, and lots more!!!!

im an artist and ive seen a visualisation, something in my head, brought to life countless times over. and not just with drawings. whether you achieve something that you have visualised depends on how hard you work at it and if you continue to persist. but if your naturally a pessimist those probably arnt qualitys you posess.

Visualization is a powerful tool. Whether you succeed with it or fail is all upto how good you are at using this tool to achieve your goals in life. If you havent acheived success yet, may be u are not using this tool efficiently. Blaming the tool itself is not going to get you anywhere...

Its called an internal locus of control.  If you don't take the visualization upon yourself, nothing will happen. You have to be in control of the situation, you cant just say it will do it for you. THAT FAILS.

Thoughts and words do not create reality. The images held most frequently in our minds ~ our daydreams ~ cause the quantum field to manifest reality. It requires no faith or belief. Visualization is NOT only a picture that you're building in your mind, that is imagination. There is a lot more to visualization than just a picture, it involves all the astral senses such as touch, hearing and smell, of course also imagery. It's as you live in first person the reality that you're willing to establish, it's not like day dreaming. Once the subconscious mind accepts the request that comes from your mind, the thing behind the scene lets it manifest, that's how it works.

No mate, it doesn't work maube for YOU because you are doing it wrong and your mind is skeeptic and materialistic, you don't beleive in spirituality all you see is the material world. Something to work out must have a strong beleif background, if you don't beleive it off course it wont work. Visualization along with affirmations and feelings of "already having it and living it" tricks the subconscious mind into getting exactly what you desire. It has worked for me and thousands of people.

1. your descriptions of it 'failing more often than succeeding' is anecdotal and shaky at best.

2. who is to say that the 'true creative process behind the scenes' is not tapped into by visualization?

3. if you focus on something enough, want it badly enough, visualisation should only be part of the whole process. i am with subbtopp, if you do not have faith in your own imagination then the process will be definitely fail for you.

Actually Robert, you may have something here. You may be on to something, but isn't it true that a lot of people just give up when what they want to achieve doesn't happen when they want it. People are impatient and give up so easy. You have to condition yourself for success, just like an athlete does. Do you go to the gym, workout for a month, or a year and then you're ready for the Olympics. I do believe in a higher power, but we have freedom of choice, when you choose to quit, that's on you

I totally disagree with you, I have experienced great results at different levels that have worked for me and others, as you say there is a small percentage of success in visualizing but never the less it works. If you havent succeed it doesnt mean it is not real, it just means you are limited, not everybody else. Peace

As someone who had read literally hundreds of metaphysical, quantum physics based, and "self-help" books in the last few years I KNOW that you are speaking the closest thing to the TRUTH I've heard. I was going INSANE trying to follow all of the "rules" of LOA and visualization. I hated trying to be specific about my desires because I KNOW that my limited perspective can't possibly know what the best experiences are for me! You really did, as another commenter stated, nailed it!
