i use rabbit harnesses or ferret harnesses. when they're younger you can get little reptile ones from petsmart. you may be able to use a cat harness as well.

i really want one but i have 2 problems i can't afford to get one right now (i have a nice size viv but it needs doors fitting) and i would be affraid that my Iguana would get jelly :P

@thrashtastical nahh they wouldn't don't be silly - my iguana is herbiverous, he even turns his nose up at crickets, and the babey monitor wouldn't be able to eat my iguana for obviouse reasons - not to mention i woudn't keep them in the same cage - i have a level 2 NVQ in animal care with a distinction in exotics and 4 years of exotics under my belt, im no scrub :P

@TheJackmayn yes you just have to handle them from the time you buy them, they will become pretty affectionate and love attention, and will actually seek it out

My Lizard scares all the other pets in my house, he hissed at my dog and cat, and bit my cat. Oh and bit me twice. He has a taste for human blood.

No a bearded dragon. He never sleeps, I don't think that's really healthy though. He just roams all day and night.

How wonderful for the tegu and for the visitors!

As I may have said a million or so times, the true value of zoos in my opinion is that they give visitors the opportunity to connect with individual animals and if they visit often enough, to love those individual animals as much as they love their pets.

And loving individual animals is the first and most important step in inspiring an interest in wildlife conservation
