You're right about gov't spending increasing inflation, but you need to keep in mind that right now the US is looking about about 1.5% DEFLATION, which is even worse. So a bit of inflation to counteract that is exactly what is needed.

There's no surgery going on. Our country is addicted to debt, and we need to go cold turkey to fix the problem. Politicians would never go for that, because that would mean standing back and not trying to micro-manage everything that goes on in the economy.

Why is the Republican answer to everything tax cuts for millionaires. The truth of the matter is that corporations and millionaires don't pay taxes anyway. Corporations have many tax shelters, so to say that corporations in this country pay 35% is a flat out lie. And when you talk about individuals making millions of dollars its even worse, although every now and then an idiot like Wesley Snipes gets caught. According to Republicans if you can't pay your mortgage give Bill Gates a tax cut.
