if the MVP was awarded to the "Best" player, Kobe wouldve gotten it for the past 3-4 years. It's the most valuable. Dirk was not the best player last year, nor was Nash the past 2 years. If it was the best player, the MVP trophies would be given out to LBJ or Kobe for the next 10 years.
