The music is unbelievable. The moment it starts playing I have tears welling up. The last time I saw this movie was over 25 years ago and I still remember it so vividly - especially the music. Wonderful movie! Thank you for posting it.
i love this music. this is one of the few scores that has brought me to tears besides grace is gone and cocoon. i have the soundtarck on lp. i got years ago for about 2 dollars!!
Hey wessel I love this movie to death and this musical piece captivates me fully..is there any chance you could get me a full copy of this piece, cause its not on hoppe or zamfirs albums this one is best..I would be so greatful if you could hook me up..let me kno and tks for this share ; )
@socomkingII sorry for being so late in replying. I can email you the mp3 file of this song if you would like. Again, sorry for the long delay in replying!
henry thomas was sooooo cute if he was still 16 (well in this kovie he was younger but when he was 16 he was still hot) i would toooootally have a crush on him lol xD him and bieber but bieber is hotter xD
This is the "unknown" Gene Hackman movie. Here is an interesting note - Other than being brothers in this movie, what do Henry Thomas and Huckleberry Fox have in common? They both starred opposite of Peter Coyote in other film efforts - ET for Henry and Blue Yonder for Huck.
after searching for this movie for years, finally YouTube thank goodness for YouTube. even this little clip reminds me of the film i also saw maybe 20 years ago and never forgot. no, i dont believe they do make movies like this anymore.
my son was 3 years old when i first saw thiis film.i cried like a damn baby.still one of my favorites.beautful soundtrack.one of the all time underrated films
What a wonderful movie, possibly the most sentimental I have ever seen. Not yet available on dvd, this movie must have been the most underated ever, with little or no interest when it was released...
I just wanted to clarify that the boy does not die in this movie. He is only injured in the fall. However, in the original flim adaptation, Incompreso, that this film is based on, the child does die.
This is definitely one of Gene Hackman's most touching and best performances ever! Henry Thomas also gives a brilliant performance as his son, Andrew. You just cannot find great movies like this anymore. Although a tearjerker, this movie is true to life and makes an important statement about life and love. Why this movie is not available on DVD is incomprehensible. It should be in every family's movie collection.
Yeah! thanks so much for that!, I did watch it. It's a shame no one has ever posted this one, I can't find the DVD, nor the torrenz. I saw this movie when I was someone's son, Id' really like to watch it now that I'm someone's father.
I always cry so much when I watched E.T., and when you know that the kids really wasen´t acting. can you please tell me a little what this film is about? :)
Hello ElizabethxPete! Then, search in Youtube "Cloack & Dagger" and "Frog Dreaming". And Misunderstood It's a wonderful movie, I guarantee that you go to cry more than in E.T. Bye
We didn't see him die in this version, however in the book he died as well as in the Italian version of the film from 1966. You get the feeling that Hollywood executives got cold feet at the idea of the kid dying and made them change the ending. In a way I'm glad they did, I don't think I could have coped - they did the same thing with Cujo, the little boy died in the Stephen King novel (which I hated King for) but was revived in the film.
Cujo was the first novel by King I read. I also thought it would be the last. I didn't read King for years for the reason you mentioned above. But I read a lot about him, becuase I wanted to know why such an obviously talented writer chose to end his stories the way he did. I didn't come back to King ubtil I read The Wastelands, volume three of the DT saga.
It's not available on DVD unfortunately. This is one of my favorite movies of all time.

Does this movie feature a scene where a boy falls from a treet limb, or something similar to that?
saturnchick23 3 years ago
yeah it does. andrew falls from the tree which is why he dies. not on impact, but later on...=(
sprn2rlfrk 3 years ago
oh he dies?? Aww!! Why did he have to die?
sk8tagal11 3 years ago
yeah, it was so sad that he had to die in the later part of the story...grrrr....
sprn2rlfrk 3 years ago
aww! That's so sad!! In like all of his childhood movies he was like near death. So weird. I wanna see this movie now.
sk8tagal11 3 years ago
I thought he was paralized, I don't remember him dying. Are you sure?
