Its just a story book. Filled with hundreds of contradictions when it comes to the description of god, morality, gods laws, and even story references. Nor are there any prophecies foretelling Jesus' arrival as either one of those. Yes, the Gospel authors try to convince us that the vague out-of-context quotes they provide from the OT are somehow prophecies, and that Jesus somehow fulfills them, but it's not very convincing.

Unfortunately, its an all to common misconception among Christians that fighting of any kind is wrong, even when it means protecting your own life. How many Christians are slaughtered every year in Middle Eastern countries? Too many to count, and I'll be most are not counted because the local police authorities turn a blind eye to it all, even allowing the murders to happen right in front of them.

@geeflyboy I went to catholic school for the majority of my childhood. I went to Christian summer camps and in fact I help at local events. So yeah, I have read it a few times.. even during mass. Its just a story book. Filled with hundreds of contradictions when it comes to the description of god, morality, gods laws, and even story references. If the Bible is the best that god could come up with to communicate with his people... he did a really shitty job. I hope you enjoyed my reply.

I addressed it. GOD IS ONE. You can't separate the Father, Son or Spirit. They're unique natures of ONE God. The Spirit is one with the Father and the Son is one with the Spirit? How? It's God, described in the Bible. No human quite grasps God, who transcends spacetime, is space & time, eternal. Take an ADULT Bible class. I have no problem if you deny God. That is your choice, but the theology is known, never changed, never will and can't be forced into something you want God to be.

@geeflyboy I have no problem believing that Jesus really existed. However, that he was somehow "the son of God", or the Messiah (not the same thing), I do not believe for a second. Nor are there any prophecies foretelling Jesus' arrival as either one of those. Yes, the Gospel authors try to convince us that the vague out-of-context quotes they provide from the OT are somehow prophecies, and that Jesus somehow fulfills them, but it's not very convincing.

I have also always had a strong interest for Christian theology, and having studied the prophecies thoroughly, I can honestly say there is a reason why you have to ALREADY be a Christian to believe them. They only look remotely credible if you really, really want them to be. For everyone else, they simply fail to impress.

Hitler never denounced Catholicism, he privately criticized the current Catholic establishment as being an ally of the Jews. Don't talk to me about re-writing history, the words "God With Us" appeared on many Nazi's belts during the war. To deny the influence that Hitler's religion had in World War 2 is to deny history. As far as killing people other then Jews, it would have been kind of hard for his army to take over Europe without killing anyone but Jews.
