....i have the super Nintendo version of this game and its so much more annoying then this version. Half the time the cities look exactly alike. I can understand why people would think this is a fake game because how..... unmario-like Mario, Yoshi and Luigi look. Also the information given about the cities in the super nintendo version is so damn cryptic that one city had 2 bits of information about other cities.

I actually had the unfortunate luck to play this on the SNES... WITHOUT the instruction manual. seeing this version, I think the SNES version left a lot to be desired.

It's not the music that's too loud, it's the overall volume that's too low. I had to use a few tricks to be able to hear you properly on my laptop. Maybe you could perform ReplayGain correction on the audio? (should be possible, but I don't know if whatever encoder you use offers such a feature)
