whell i have a big problem.

Navigon says to me :

GPS RECEPTION IS CURRENTLY NOT SUFFICIENT.

NAVIGATION STARTS AUTOMATICALLY AS SOON AS GPS RECEPTION IS OK AGAIN.

what should i do ? please somebody help me :S

Since this version I have 1.5.1 they is has text to speech and likely other features.

Navigon mobile navigator for iphone is best. i have the 1.5. i have used tom tom, and Magellan for iPhone. navigon. was the far best. never looses signals. the new version 1.5 has bunch new features like Text to speech, lane assistance on high ways...so from experience i give it 10/10.

Good app. What if you want to initiate a call while using the app? I see that an incoming call doesn't completely close the app...just wondering how you would make a call without cancelling the route altogether. Thanks!

Guys can the GPS work with i pod touch?? if yes hen how?? i am just curious to know because the tom tom's kit allows the gps to work with ipod touch

now I have a question because I used navigon the first time i uploaded it to my iphone and worked fine then after all fails I got no more gps lockon got the tom tom app no gps lock on, only got it once then went back inside to eat with my buds came back out lost a lock on and I'm not using 3G or any service but gps and I was in wide open area, so why is this happening ?? I tryed restoring my phone reuploading app but nothing what am I doing wrong ??

@jslizzzle hey whats up I live in New York Long Island download the latest version and go to ur setting go to reset then go and hit "reset network settings" ur phone should restart and then go out side go into a car or I guess you can walk and wait until u get a signal to the phone and it should work BUT U MUST HAVE THE LATEST VERSION OF NAVIGON !!! IT WILL WORK BETTER !! if you need more help then message me on utube and I'll try to help u out ;-)

You can answer the call put it on speaker relaunch the app and it picks up where you was last.

I tried Navigon AG myself. I was impressed by its performance and interface. I definitely recommend to other people. But I think for an iphone GPS App, setting the price at $70 is way too high, specially they don't have to use any hardware for GPS chips themselves.

Awesome review, by the way Navigon said Text to Speech is on it's way "later this summer" according to their iphone mobile navigator website. Kind of dumb there is no phone number so you can't call ahead to reserve at a restaurant or to ask questions.

Excellent presentation! I have some questions though. There are a few reviews on the app store of people saying that it doesnt find a gps fix. have you had any issues with that? how long does it take to get a fix?

Also, whats your estimation on battery drain? this would pretty much be my gps in a tight spot, i already have a stand alone for trips and whatnot.

last, how hot does the iphone get?

one more, does it do any weird stuff? crash or anything?

I had no problem getting a signal. It was INSTANT. Your battery drain will be significant. Use a car adapter. My iPhone did not get hot, no crashes or nothing weird to report.
