  • what is the point of spinning them. Just pointless

  • I'm more of a claymore person

  • Dude, kudos to you. Meandyou gotta face off someday hhaha jk

  • as silly as this is it was AMAZINGLY helpful haha thank you so much adorable michigan kids!

  • yo wanna see duel wielding sword fighting style self taught evolvin over time check out Fluid in Motion Fitness Week 4.

  • @hunter7108 anything to back that up??? because ive never seen it and ive been looking, holywood says it works but it doesnt. large overly showy movements just get you killed

  • @SomeUrbanNinja also the only time anyone DID use dual swords was when one was much smaller than the other, katana and wakizashi in japan, armingsword and dagger in europe. nowhere is 2 full sized large swords paired up.

  • @volarion That's completely incorrect, the Koreans practice of form of dual-wielding long swords in a style that is meant to overwhelm the opponent. But dual-wielding swords or other one-handed weapons themselves has been seen across history in almost all cultures.

  • @SomeUrbanNinja from what country and what do you base this on??? tv doesnt count because they lie and make crap up

  • sure its impressive but in a real fight it will only get you killed :/ theres a reason no one historically fought in this way.

  • @volarion Martial artists did..

  • brushing up on both blades isn't a pain. You can reap the benefits by impressing all your friends ;)

  • im impressed. you missed your calling with the jedi order. "but to old to to be trained you are"

  • Awesome, well done, partner.

  • I thought all of this was natural when you picked up two weapons.

  • I wouldn't have thought there are people out there who share my hobbies. I'll assume you taught yourself too? You seem kind of on the socially awkward/excluded side. If that's the case, don't worry about it. At least we work at expanding our capabilities, mental, psysical and artistic along paths bold, original and inidivdual, not the pathetic conventional mainstream.

  • @jigovani No, its his doughter

  • There is a difference between spinning weappons and fighting with them, I know this from personal experience.

Good dexterity looks nice and helps with attack to attack flow and even improves grip so you don't dsisarm so quickly but...

This does NOT automatically make you or me a trained fighter. Genuine training is a MUST.

(NOTE: If this is read at a later date than the time of posting I may be a fully trained combatant by now)

  • @PcGenie2 flourish is very useful in combat. especially when throwing your opponent off guard

  • i live in indiana i learned by getting the crap beat outa me by my dad and older cousins with wooden swords, shields, spears, and quite a bit in hand to hand combat. so, we learned how to do things right or we wouldnt last. how were you taught?

  • hey youre really good.

  • its like baranta

  • Unless you happen to be a samurai master or a circus profetional jugguler you should never attempt this with real swords! the fake ones your useing now are okay but if you come by real ones or have any Dont do it!

Priority Order 1. You could endanger the lives of those around you.

    2.You endanger you're own life.

3.Unless in a public demonstration (Dont do one!) people will think you're threatening them or some type of terrorist and the police might come nocking!

    You're not a professional!

  • @TheDarkestballet dont be a biggot proffesionals and amatures are only seperated by the ammount of practice i do shit with live blades all the time and havent gotten hurt because i use my brain

  • WOW! PLASTIC SWORD'S :)

  • He called it saber!

  • you should also have lightsaber battles with friends

  • by the way she's watching slave or whatever

  • lol here i am watching this while my mom watches britney spears dance XD

  • wow when i started the vid i honestly though this is gonna be crap but u really did a nice job there, respect! :D

  • ...i now want to spar with you somehow O.o

  • nice custom sabers

  • practicing for LARP I see.

  • unless your making a light saber battle video..you look like an LOSER doing this

  • Cool vid!! Nice tutorial. Keep up the good work. Check out my double orange slice katana vid!

  • @personalchaos you're forming bad habits by using the wrong "you're"

  • im also good at swords but holy shet this guy may murder me e.e

  • wow!!! i am going to learn that soon, i am about to start learning escreamidor from the same guy my brother learned from.

  • Same time spins, split time spins, weaves.... different terminology but the same moves are used in poi spinning.

  • Cute tricks. Not very practical in combat, unless you're up against a person who's completely intimidated by flashy stuff like that. Otherwise, the attacks you showed are easily countered by so many different things that I can randomly think of. Oh well. Good show over all.

  • @yellerman Nobody said that these "cute tricks" were intended for combat. That was just your perception.

  • @disisSketch I didn't say that anyone said these were meant for combat. I was simply stating facts, as well as giving you a compliment. Although, these would be slightly more difficult to do with actual metallic sabers. Tantos are rectangular, therefore, they pick up a lot of wind difference. Katanas are just weighted for solid single stream-line slices/cuts. [Russian accent] Liiiiight bulb. Try doing these with actual sabers.

  • How about trying this with some real swords with weight! See if you can spin those you would be dead!! This is hilarious!!!

  • Very nice!Great.I wouldnt like to meet you in real sword fight :)

  • nice, THX!!!

  • I was greatly surprised at how well you did the "crossover". i have been juggling and spinning clubs for more than half my life (i am 18), and not many people spin that well. major props, keep it up!

  • POI is better :)

  • Fucking eh! YOu got the skillz, get into Belegarth :P

  • Is this Ryan Reynolds in youth?!!

  • when the zombies come and everyone's guns fail he will save us.

  • @theassortedjellybean no he probably wont save everyone, so you have to learn it yourself :D

  • ah! an elegant weapon for a more civilized time. lol

  • wow really kewl i live in michigan 2

  • sweeeeeeeeeett.... 18 dudes dropped their swords..

  • @slipknottard Noooooooo, 18 dudes chopped off a limb with a REAL SWORD.

  • This made me realize that sword tricks look cooler with shiny swords and cameras that catch the sword position only part of the time

  • have you tried the reverse dual grip from SW The Force Unleashed 2? i was lucky i had my foam sabers. i could have really hurt myself with the longer combos from the game.

  • pretty awesome, but you have nothing to do with this skill in combat.

  • Ahahah, fantastic, a human ventilator.

  • BAhahahahaha

what a load of shit, never ever let go of your sword like that. while you are doing your fancy arsed spins it will only take a light hit to knock them out of your hands

    hahahaha

  • @OskoreiMick It's all for show fucking retard

  • a wheelbarrow spining is much more dangerous

  • Out of curiosity those sabers you were using,Are they custom made or some form of boken,at first i thought for sure nerf but then i noticed the hilts and you clacked them they sounded to solid for foam so just out of pure curiosity no insult or offense given, also thanks for the tutorial I used to be horrable at dual wielding and once i got this down I got much better.

  • I only watch your videos when it comes to the sabers. I want your coordination.

  • Lol, star wars kid flashback :D

  • poor foot work :( but hey nice balet kid, but a lot of that does not work with real swords.....but either way nive vid. and im not saying "balet" as an insult, sword fighting is a lot like dancing hence why i said it :P

  • i bet you trolls eat huge cock...... i hate when someone is telling someone "kid" "nerd" "geek"

  • @GreatYamatanoOrochi nerd geek kid...

  • @standeman80 hey... go away -.-

  • @GreatYamatanoOrochi Hey...I don't think so. Go play with some pvc pipes man. Maybe your mom can teach you a trick or two...

  • @standeman80 haha, go away kid, no one likes crybabies

  • @GreatYamatanoOrochi Lol you are so fucking stupid. I thought you hated the word Kid... Oh and btw. Your calling me a cry baby. Yet you're the one playing with fake swords... So who are you calling a crybaby "kid"...

  • @standeman80 i said i hated when someone tells HIM that hes kid, but look at you, ur worse than any troll..... dont reply to my messages ur really dumb...

  • @GreatYamatanoOrochi Lol YOU ARE FUCKIN' PLAYING WITH PLASTIC PIPES... Get a life faggot... Everyone can spin a Pvc pipe in his hand...

  • @standeman80 i am not kid, this is not my video -.- get a life

  • @GreatYamatanoOrochi Dude you are saying to me. Stop commenting and watching this video, but you are doing exactly the same thing... Retard...

  • @standeman80 omg retarded son of a whore moron...... i watched it cuz i like it, ur watching it just to comment shit on this video

  • @GreatYamatanoOrochi So you're saying your gay?

  • @standeman80 no im saying your mom's a bitch which i fucked last night, i dont like him, i like the video...

  • @GreatYamatanoOrochi That's one crappy comeback.

  • @standeman80 yea, and? you dont like it? then take a hike, ur annoying

  • @GreatYamatanoOrochi And yet you keep replying, plz keep doing to, I'm laughing my ass of xD

  • starwars is fake kid.....jedi's are not real

  • i bet this kid gets an easy good fuck

  • um are those starkiller lightsabers :D

  • um are those starkiller lightsabers :D

  • badass man.. badass

  • Complete bad ass

  • i use my dominant hand and i cant get used to both i struggle wit my sias my left hand distracts me and gets in my way

  • @blackwinter35 If your left hand distracts you, then you need to put down the sword in your right hand, and sit and practice for a while ONLY with the left. A few days of "lefty" only can make a world of difference. :)

  • i will laugh if someone waiching this posts their own video from a webcam and hits themselves in the head.

  • those look like purple ultrasaber oppressors...

  • Expect to hear from me if zombies attack. That would be the coolest zombie fight scene ever.

  • I thought all cheerleaders wore little skirts? Nice batons.... lol

  • cool man

  • Yay! Gotta learn this. Thanks.

  • Nice tutorial, but i got a question, did u learn all that by yourself? or is there any kind of martial art teaching dual wield?

  • @J3rek o i learned it from a guy on youtube actually. he has as channel called "banditcar" so go on youtube.com slash banditcar some of this i made up on my own if my memory serves me right, but for the most part that guy has excellent tutorials

  • @J3rek hi, just saying, i don't know if this is martial arts, but there is a form of kenjutsu called nito-ken which is a dual wielding sword art, hope this helps :)

  • Its the twenty first century dude, we use guns now.

  • Back hand spins.... Not such a good idea when you use fire swords.

  • virgin cough cough

  • I hope most realise than those spins arent really working with real sword unless its really light swords, and if they're to light(which they need to be for this) they dont really do any damage, this is just for show, nothing that actually works.

  • Dude, i could easily chop my balls off trying to do those moves. You are really great on that thing.

  • last move has a delay on the final strike with the right hand. otherwise all very well done. In sparring, only use last move a few times. too much it will become obvious of the opening.

  • wow nice man at 1:30 your really good... :)

  • your very good

  • sword on sword battle i wouldnt want to fuck with u lolz were u get ur swords?

  • yaaa michigan

  • Cool vid.

  • I would be an evil friend and sharpen them HEHEHE JP lol

  • nice vid

  • @foraef barring firearms and a level-head, movements such as those can be confusing and/or frightening to an opponent. Martial artists have taken to placing brightly-colored rags or cloth to bottom of hilts/handles to further disorient an opponent.

If you DO have a gun, however, just pull a Indy Jones on them.

  • ...lame

  • whats the point of spinning them? i do dagorhir, so not poking fun, but, why the heck not just.... strike with them?

  • @noban2010 Some spins enhance your power.

  • @foraef

Obviously, the flourishes/spins have absolutely no combat application, but that's not the point. A: they are mainly for the art form of sword spinning (can't remember the name exactly) and B: if you were to try and use them, you'd want some space between you and your enemy... or else they could just impale you while you're twirling lol

  • are those real?....if they are ur fast cause i can't see the tip O.O ....pretty cool tho

  • virgin

  • 5 stars mate. Bravo.

This is extreemely accurate, although I managed to self learn the technique you're teching well before I watched the video, I still find it somewhat educational. Enlightening, no less to Improvied Martial artists. welldone.

  • what did you get these swords from so i can get it practice?

  • Thanks a lot dude! Your a great teacher.

  • good work :)

  • whats a daggit?

  • now THIS is the reason why he gets the ladies.

  • hmmm, good thing u'r such a great person.making feel other people bad about themselves because they have a hobby is u'r hobby? really got nothing better to do?waauw, what a great life skill......

  • Sweet moves

  • Nerds

  • Yeah pretty much..

  • lol ikr I can win a straight fight against a guy with 2 blades with my one...

  • Very cool. Much better than me.

  • Hope you like my video clip. You know how rare it is to find people that know how to dual wield effectively? Not many. I found your tutorial to be quite informative and accurate.

Thought I'd mention your particular crossover (the one I do in my video too) is only good for maces and double edged swords/axes. Single blades require a slightly different angle to ensure the blade is always pointed towards the enemy at the apex of the strike.

  • very cool, your moves look like deadpool's elevator scene from wolverine origins

let me see you cut some bullets!!

  • IKR DEADPOOL PWNS!!!!

  • u're amazing! :D

  • whoa, dude thats like a 2 beat weave in poi. except it looks sick with the sabers.

  • I smack myself in head too much to use real katanas, but I use fairly heavy staffs. Well.. I think they're fairly heavy. Great job! We could so make an epic dual wield fight scene lol!

  • lol that would be fun, too bad i live in MI

  • great cross over tutorial, i was actually looking for a similar vid but yours is way better since you teach us how to. Thanks bud!

  • just realizing while trying this out myself.. are you left handed or right handed? cause i try to do half of what you teach in your videos but i find i have some of my orders of where my arms go are mirrored like which hand goes over which first... (like you put your left over your right where as i put my right over my left)

  • oh sorry! i didn't even think about it while i was making these videos but i'm left handed. if you're mirroring what i'm doing then you're probably doing it right. yeah, i'll keep the right-handed thing in mind next time.

  • I know this is extremely dangerous, but could you do that with katanas, I mean you yourself, cool vid btw

  • What sabers are those?

  • Do you prefer the white polycarbonate blades? I actually can't tell which I like better, the regular mid-grade or the white ones. This is assuming you have converted sabers with ultrafilm inside.

  • michigans awesome

  • ok that's true, I once was in that position as well, it just doesn't bother me now (thank god)

  • good show tutorial. however it doesn't give anything extra in battle I'm afraid

  • psychological advantage, someone sees you spinning blades like that they think your badass and bam instant psychological advantage, plus it's great for learning to control you blades.

  • ok, the controling your blades point is true, but for psychological advantage, well: I've faced more flashy stuff then that, and basicly it's stepping back, focussing on one blade and then going for it what you have to do. I never ever got hit by such moves :)

  • Of course you aren't or haven't but against an unschooled opponent who barely knows what end to hold it scares the living daylights out of them, at least it always has for me.

  • kool..where do u buy those sabers now i wanna try it.. :D

  • Anybody look at this and think that there is no way in hell you would ever be able to do this without 100+ hours of training by an expert?

  • it's actually not that hard, just looks cool to do. i taught myself with out videos or any of that.

  • Ya, I overreacted; I'm already on step 7 on the lightsaber tutorials, although the first few steps are pretty easy, but maybe that's the point.

  • Put this guy up against General Grievous.

  • go michigan!!!! detroit is in the building!

  • really nice tutorial man. because of watching u twirling those sabers, I started to teach it myself too. Ur vids helped alot. keep up the good work. (sry for crappy english)

  • It can help with a lot of stuff IF you know how to use em right. Sure this is showmanship, but once you learn ninjitsu or nintaijutsu you can use your weapons for lethal yet silent attacks.

    Thank you very much Shade.

  • google ultrasabers

  • google ultrasabers

  • yeah, sort of, i'm not as good at combat as i am with showmanship, but after spending so many hours wielding one you can bet i've had a fair share of sparring ;) . I don't know how good i am compared to anyone here, but i'm good enough to fend off anyone that lives around my neighborhood i know that much.

  • Well just think, if someone breaks into your house, and there is a baseball bat lying around, i bet youd kick that burglars ass with that bat. xD

  • use a club instead ;) small area to focus the force on. either way, i wish i had something handy for that scenario besides ma lightsabers, but i suppose i could still smack with em eh?

  • damn this dude is sick at spinning 5*

  • trickin guy

  • You should try learning Arnis-Escrima Doble Baston for more complex skill sets. ^^

  • thanks for the advice! :)
