This is just beyond perfect, I cry every time I hear this version. Also, it sounds like George put a little of "Here Comes the Sun" in the making of this song, maybe it's because of the capo placement, but nonetheless, this is beauty and pure genius. R.I.P George <3
This is how George wanted it to be, Lennon and McCartney wouldn't accept it on the album, still the album version is better. Should have been made one great album rather than a double there's just so much material on it.
@iExecutoRx You must not be a Beatles fan if you think they should not have released all of the material on the White Album. Mind you,, it is not a concept album, but simply a collection of songs. Hmmm.. why are we here, listening to every take and buying anthology releases?
@paperl8 Nah too much material, could have been much better, who listens to Revolution 9 and Piggies fuck me as much as I like the Beatles those songs are tripe, nothing beats Abbey Road and Revolver in my eyes
@iExecutoRx@paperl8 he may be a beatle fan, but he's FOOLISH to think the full White Album shouldn't have been released. The White Album is , simply put, Brilliant!
@iExecutoRx one more thing abbey road is overrated nothing beats pepper and white album in my eyes i am not a beatles song skipper i listen to every second that includes pepper inner grove wild honey pie and revolution 9 abbey road is actually listed on number 12 on my top 14 beatles albums including past masters
@totaldrambeatles22 you just sound like such a creep, I'd say your a fat yank that sits in a shit apartment listening to beatles records pretending their still together hahaha
@iExecutoRx alright i also like classic cinema led zeppelin pink floyd pretty much everything old also how can they be together they broke up during let it be and are now half dead also everything modern entertainment sucks i am no longer talking about this signing out new < old
@totaldrambeatles22 You don't know your beatles. They broke up after Abbey Road, which was released before Let it be. How could they have broken up during let it be if they then did abbey road after
@theyodaclub i am afraid you don't your beatles the beatles put let it be on hold in February 1969 and returned to the studio after abbey road so half of let it be was their last album abbey road was their last full album also fun fact for EVERYONE dang it sgt pepper is meant to be heard in mono why cant everyone listen in mono at least i own the mono box dang it
This version made me tear up due to the sheer fact that He and John are dead and this band will never be reunited... ever and i'm 11 so ...you don't see this from kids these days.
this made me cry. the album version is great, yet this one just makes me feel like crying, and takes heed of the sad lyrics much more.. all the same, i love you george. <3
@johnny10301968 I believe the opposite is true. This is his original demo. I've read somewhere that he felt that it was incomplete, and BEGGED Clapton to help him finish it. There were a few in between that he was unsatisfied with as well.
@johnny10301968 You are wrong, actually. George specifically asked Clapton to add a solo to the song to make it more "complete." It surprises me that so many people are uniformed enough to rate your comment the highest for this video.
@johnny10301968 "The band recorded the song several times, including a version with a backward guitar solo[1] (as Harrison had done for "I'm Only Sleeping" on Revolver[8]), but Harrison was not satisfied.[1] On 6 September 1968, during a ride from Surrey into London, Harrison asked Eric Clapton to add a lead guitar solo to the song." Research does wonders.
@CrazyycclowN On the album release George got pissed off at John and Paul because they kept making fun of this one so he brought Clapton in to get them to work harder and take it more seriously. George plays the acoustic and Eric plays the lead guitar on the album version.
how can i buy this song (and don't say the link on the right-hand side because that takes me to the 'Love' version
