Ive met him twice and always found him to be one of the nicest artists Ive met. Ive had him draw 3 pics for me (one of Alice, Dil and Petey) and he has never said no or charged a dime.
I love Cul De Sac. I met Richard Thompson as a comic convention. He was so nice, he did a free original drawing of Alice and had her say "I pad $14,000 for this drawing and he drew my nose too big". He is going to the convention again next year and I plan on buying a collection of the comic and have him sign
@emilygclarinet And it lovely to see how he prefigured the far more celebrated scherzo of his 3rd symphony with this excellent movement. I've always felt that the 2nd symphony was under-appreciated.
