  • He's right every musician that I heard of who played 8 hours a day or something like that are usually not as good as others who practice with less time

  • @3:10 I say amen!! :D

  • its good to see that you're back, you've really helped me understand music well..

  • I saw you on the trainnnn lol. JK but im pretty sure we crossed paths in the train if you take it lol

  • I want to congratulate you for your love and dedication to music, I don't know any thing about music, I don't play any instrument, I wish I did, I'm 67 years old and I just stated to write lyrics for songs, I was watching your videos to see if I could learn something about music but you know what they say about old dogs and new tricks, any way I enjoy them very much.Thank you. leo torres

  • Well do u play piano if so I'm lookin for good techniques not really any theory I have problems just trying to figure out a comfortable way to play and get a feel for it

  • @timsmashuhoe yes i play piano, but I don't teach it here at my channel

  • Flavors***

  • Alright I just try to practice them because u can really bring out different favors of modes after practicing the relative patterns u can really hear them that's my tip

  • good to see you're back mate

  • @hollywoodbeats me too bro

  • Hey walt, will you be starting lessons from the beginning?

  • @SabbiShake for a ful list of lessons go to my website. it's my name

  • @waltribeiro Yea, i used to use your site for a while, but i have no idea where to start again since im out of practice! i still remember easter bunny gets drunk after easter haha! Thanks mann!

  • @SabbiShake start anywhere, the trick is to just START SOMEWHERE! ANYWHERE!

  • If your confused there is a YouTube video of joe sattriani doing it but I just want some key tips they didn't really go over it in my music theory course they just showed u how they were made

  • The question is really do u have any tips on blending modes in different keys with same root example g Dorian g Phrygian g major g Lydian and the other was any tips on the 7th mode sense it's diminished it's hard to blend and another is how can u come up with a progression when u are blending parallel modes related to my first ? I have a lot of ?s if you want to ask

  • @timsmashuhoe yea that's a long answer, and totally out of the scope of my lessons. But I understand what you mean now. I knew it was similar to parallel major and minor keys and scales. In my past decade of performing, writing, and arranging, I've never had to worry about parallels. I imagine jazz hints at it, but it's more of a mental skillset rather than something I'd worry about too much. My 2 cents.

  • You're the best. I missed you and glad you're back. I've learned so much from you and look to you for inspiration.

  • GLAD TO HAVE YOU BACK!!!

  • @bskeete glad to be back!

  • So like can you go over blending modes parallel I mean with the same root if your unfamiliar with the term and also how would you make I think it's locrian mode blend in its key the 7th mode in a relative key as in f# in g everything I try with it sound to grimmy

  • @timsmashuhoe its parellel modes, not modes parellel. not too familiar with them, and I don't understand your question too well. can you be more specific?

  • walt. youre the best man. weve missed you!

  • @josephkiim i missed you too!

  • You are awesome.

  • @alwayssugerhigh right back atcha

  • We've Missed u :) never stopped listening to your music! I still wear my Ustream Pic necklace everyday! you had written my name on it but it's completely gone cuz i wear it so much :P Don't go too fast if you don't think it's good for yourself :) like u always said. peace, love & harmony!

  • @ropiko haha i still have your pancake picture!

  • wohaa wohaa, welcome back mate

  • I've been waiting for this. A recognition that you've been gone, and why. This is a great video, Walt and welcome back. Don't put the pressure on you to do this every day. At least once a week is fine for most of us – because in the end, every day might put too much stress on you.

  • @ChillpointNews every day or bust!

  • Daily shows on ustream? COME ON!

  • @SnipersAndHeadshots omg snipers!!!!!!!!!! miss you

  • I was wondering what the heck happened, alright man good luck on the tuts. Backing off like that is always good for starts.

  • I can't link the video in the comments but its the "How a Galileo Thermometer works, after music & lights"

    one on my page

  • @zetreque whats the question?

  • wb walt, not sure if you ever saw the video I made. You said you never check your youtube emails. Well because of the popularity of the video I made with your song in it (which I can't find on youtube anymore) youtube asked me to monetize my videos. I did not monetize that video though because I never officially have your permission to use your song. So if you actually do start checking your comments again check it out. again wb, I agree its good to reflect, and experience life.

  • @zetreque yea whats the link? i wanna see it!

  • good to see you back, hope all is well with you, you are doing a superb job.

    many thanks.

  • Excellent! Glad you made it back safe and sound. Looking forward to your next videos. Cheers.
