From what I take from this, the development of Natalie Portman's character seems pretty complex. She just seems REALLY irredeemable from the get-go & I couldn't even feel bad for her when she loses her baby. That's why she's such a good actress; she had the ability to conjure up enough emotional investment from me to hate her. Last time I hated a movie for being too good was Closer & that's one movie I'd be hesitant to watch again.

Natalie Portman, I love her. She's really talented. She can portray any character you give her, may it ba a psycho, a scientist, a student, a dancer, a stepmon, and a mistress, she delivers it with class. The movie, all in all, is not something I would go for. This promotes breaking up a family and that is not something I stand for. I don't know where I would be today if my mom and dad broke up. And I owe it to my parents, who dearly love each other, to encourage other people to do as they did.

@hjchamp04 I think it's a more humane look into real life situations. The "other woman" is never pure evil who went her way to destroy a marriage, but usually is a very nice person as well. Things are not always black and white, and I didn't see this as glorifying infidelity, but looking into if from and honest perspective.
