  • hey John i have cp too my left hand dosen't work very well.

  • Hey John, greetings from Australia. I work and volunteer for a charity here that holds camps for people with disabilities. We have many campers that have CP. I think your video was beautifully edited and shows your wonderful spirit and infectious smile. You are such an inspiration. We have posted it onto our Facebook page. To share your story. Best Wishes, Jodie.

  • @Jode711 Thank you Jodie.

  • The reasons Daniel's hands/wrists look somewhat normal is because, he ware 3-4 types of hand/wrist braces, almost 24/7. Glad to see you are in such a great sprite! I will sent you a video showing couple of my home-made wrist braces that might give you some idea to reduce pains.

  • John - your therapists/doctors should never let your wrists and hands got into that condition. If your wrists and hands still has some/all range of motions, talk to your medical professionals or orthotists to see what kind of brace can help you to achieve some functional movements. Looking at the video when you were younger, you had lots more fine motor controls than my son, Daniel. Joshua done an excellent jobs capturing your story on video.

  • I don't understand why Medicaid dropped him.... I have CP too & I've had medicaid since I was 18 & they didn't deny PT for me when I was 24 (I'm 26 now, i chose to quit PT on my own, they didn't stop covering it) I'm also about to enter a program which involves OT & they're covering that as well... Maybe it goes by state...what state are you? I live in VA.

  • @lizzysan22 hey there, its john... the guy in the video. I live in Texas. Traditional Medicaid, because of my age, transferred me to a Medicaid HMO Plan. Then ALL my doctors terminated my treatment because they do not take this HMO plan. And yes, it does go by state. If you don't mind me asking what is the program you're about to enter? Thank you so much for watching the video and for your comments. Take care, John. :)
