  • killer darts!

  • sets were best of 3 legs in them days??? i didn't know that :\

  • Watching these two top athletes sweating it out on stage brings tears to my eyes …

  • Jocky's so dearly missed.

  • Join the '12 Dart Contest' at Konkura.com

  • you cant beat the good old days, when you could play darts on tv semi pissed and smoke your tree off... i mean what can you do now other than take a swift line of coke before you come out, or bang a load of beta blockers down yer neck ... i miss the old days myself ...

  • those were the days a fag a drink , what can i say , just great players . fuck the bbc tv now.

  • darts in one hand

    fags in the other

    grate stuff !!!

  • that is darts...enjoying...having it as a hobby drinking your f@king beer.....not like today....where everything is restricted pfff...

  • lol @ jockys fat head.

  • @Snoopo Bristow cunt lol

  • do day have fags n dare hands?

  • yes.... =)

  • i would very much like to curess your elbow

  • All short, fat men celebrate the same way ! LOL ! see 2:50 LOL

  • Today, Jocky must by wider than taller ! LOL ! What the hell happened to him ? Probably drinking himself to dead somewhere in Scotland amusing toothless people with his dart skill in local pubs ! LOL !

  • Lol,it's a bit cruel,but...that's exactly what I thought :P

  • he lives in a council flat in his home town kirckaldy i believe.i read in tthe papers a few years back that he was bankruptt and suffered depression and ver y rarely leaves his house. He refuses to speak about darts or his darts past when reporters tried to interview him.

  • Used to love watching the darts back then with my dad! Special times indeed.

  • Jocky is a working class legend! He just picked up a dart and could do the impossible! Well, you try it! His character is part of him and contributed towards him being unpredictable and a great showman. I love B.George, but no one can ever match john Thomas Wilson. god bless.

  • You gotta love Jocky, he was so animated. Went to the current tour of 'Legends Of The Oche' last night with Bristow, Lowe & Bobby George which was superb, I asked Eric about Jocky and he said he hadn't seen him for 18 months because he won't come out of his house, he's a bit of a recluse now which is a shame as he would bring the house down if he was on this tour....Come back Jocky you're sorely missed !!!

  • i swear in that first leg eric hits treble 5 on his first dart leaving 85. But Tony, Eric + scorer think its a single. Maybe I need to go to specsavers but it certainly looks like a treble.

  • It's a single from what I see

  • Yes, indeed, you need glasses: the first dart is 1/2" over triple 5. Advice: go to Walmart for your glasses - they have the highest ranked Optical Service Department...

  • how come 2-0 in legs wins the set? rules must have changed

  • its always been that way in the BDO. I think they may have changed in the latest world champs but im not 100% but its usually 2 legs to a set. Its not as good cos you dont get a chance to come back = less drama.

  • every time hes asked to do sumthing with darts he replies that it was the past, and he wont dwell on it, he had a fortune and blew a fortune mostly on ale.

  • vintage! 'jocky on the oche'

  • you are so right he is on his ass in a council flat.if he came out and said i wanna work as a pundit he would be givein a job straight away but he seems happy livein in shit so let him be

  • i think you will find he is and has been a very ill man.

  • In reply to scousejimmy1 - What a disgracefully ignorant comment. Check out your facts before spouting such blatant nonsense.

  • Jocky Jocky Jocky

Even though its 'in his past' - hats off to the big man.

A protest in Kircaldy is needed to get him out the flat back and earn a few notes as a pundit

  • hats off is right ,it's a shame at the time ,when he won it ,gave hope to us all that a joe soap like us all "in a pub" can do something special

  • beer and cigs :D those were the days

  • What a joy it would be if Jocky were to come back to the world of darts!. I wish him all the best!.

  • Jocky # 1

  • jockey now lives as a recluse in his hometown kickcaldy (scotland).he used to live just up the road from me a place called battlehill (north tyneside).tis a shame what a charicter

  • I know. I read an article about his life today in a newspaper and it was saddening. What a waste of a good life.

  • john thomas wilson is a true legend of the game, its such a pity to hear of what he is going through now.

  • great to see them smoking fags and drinking beer whilst playing .

  • wat is the forth thing they have in their hands?

    both players

  • cigarette

  • and you my friend, are a WANK!

  • Oops! I mean 28 seconds....

  • His scream at 17 seconds is priceless.

  • GO JOCKY!

  • luv darts

this is me best era of darts#

    this is darts

  • awesome wee man!!!

  • This was 1982 the year Jocky first won the title as Eric lost the 1983 final to Keith Dellar.

  • both players smoking whilst they play!

  • To be fair, Jocky Wilson was a real fighter, he certainly silenced the Crafty Cockney that night. Thanks for this, great darts and totally agree with those who said the players of today have it easy.

  • jocky wilson, the alex higgins of darts???

  • oigivup your a total gob shite, these players are true dart champions.

  • On Jocky Wilson BBC commentator Sid Waddell once qouted after he won The Unipart British Professonal Title against Dave Whitcombe in 1983, "What a lttle magic man, John Thomas Wilson!". and you what he was proved right what a player Jocky Wilson he is sorely missed

  • Have the boys of today drink and smoke like these champs and they'd be sh1t. This takes me back - great upload. Seriously, how can you be be Scandinavian and good at darts?

  • The pubs the the smoke the Darts will be gone forever, except probably the Darts.

  • Is this Ronnie O'Sullivan ??

    My arse smells

  • Im english but I have to say that when I watched that I was willing Jockey all the way. Just brilliant Darts and great memories.

  • thanks for putting this on..i loved jocky when i was a little lad..i still think he is the best sportsman on the dart circut..hate that cocky bristow

  • I love jockys teqnique and erics is so strange

  • Jocky could still do it if he wanted to. He's a great person, much better than any other player that you could mention. Bristow was scared of him and Lowe knew he could beat him. Taylor, you stick playing the ones who make you look good. You too would have run from Jocky. You couldn't handle Priestley and barely beat gregory. Jocky always had time to shake a fan's hand. I wouldn't touch yours taylor if you gave me a tenner.

  • Truly bizzarre rant.

  • Ha ha, brilliant.

  • great stuff from jocky.great player and great charachter:-)

  • jocky wilson is in my view a darting legend when i was young.still is. jockey on the oche all the best, would be nice to see you on the tv sometime. LEGEND

  • thanks mate for all ur great vids can u get the final 1999 martin adams v chris mason Thanks

  • Actually this is the 1982 semi final and Eric and Jocky met in the 1989 final.

  • Good spot mate!!!

  • Jocky is one of the greatest players ever to throw an arrow. Just as good as Bristow and lowe, but more likeable and a real character. Phil taylor, we don't like you.Who cares about your wins in an organisation you own.

  • Brissy & Jocky look a lot healthier than the majority of todays players.

  • Well, Brissy does....

  • As a Fifer Jocky they say is pretty bad now hence he packed Darts in years ago, but the Players Drank more back then than now i reckon + smoking was allowed then, so dont know where you get that from.

  • those were the best years for darts, wen the players were allowed to drink booze and smoke cigarettes on stage

  • @blakey145 I remember when they were allowed to inject themselves with heroin onstage and to perform perverse sex acts with prostitutes.

  • @blakey145 They were actually the worst because that is what caused darts downfall

  • videos like this cement my love for this game

  • that was a tight match u could here the crowd go oooohhh when bristow missed double 16, tension was rife

  • the run on wilson when he lands double 16 is classic

  • Look at the respect there between those two, they were great rivals and great friends. The 1990 world final showed that totally when Jocky won 6-4 after being 5-0 up, Jocky was in tears and Eric was hugging him, I'll never forget that.

    Darts rules all.

  • Yeh, These were the day's, unfortunately the Personalities have gone i reckon from today's game, Wilson, Bristow, Lowe, Whitcombe, Lazarenco, Alan Evans, Leighton Rees whom sadly passed away since, Not so much Darts now in Pub's + Club's nowaday's but come on out there all Official's from all counties get out and you can find Darting Talent around instead of Picking the same people whom are in with the Incrowd, give some others the chance as Favouratism shouldn't come into it.

  • It was the 1989 final as Phil Taylor played Eric in the 1990 final.

  • This is the 1983 Unipart British Professional Championship semi-final. Jocky went on to beat Dave Whitcombe in the final.
