Hawkeye fan here, I'm pissed Smith left as well but I don't blame him. Tennessee was his original choice anyway and he only came to Iowa because of Alford and the coaching change at Tennessee. When Alford left and his dad got sick, it only made sense for him to return him. And if you've watched college basketball over the past year you would know he made the right choice. He has evolved tremendously as a player and that has a lot to do with Pearl and the Volunteer Program
