To be really pedantic, the motion you see is more the Earth's rotation, rather than the Moon moving in its orbit - still how awesome to see the celestial clock ticking like that :D
@remyworldpeace Your are more than welcome because this kind of stuff fasinates me. I have been looking through my Celestron Firstscope and this Moon moves really fast but like you said it's us that is moving.
@remyworldpeace yes indeed moon filters make a bit of difernce but not much a variable contrast filter i have does soon i am getting spc880 flashing it to spc900can not wait still a great vid you have when you do in some more
happy to answer question??? well i need some help peassss
so i have a celestron 25' i believe i just started playing with it it works great i have the problem of seeing threw it. i dont know if this makes any since but help haha thankssss
@remyworldpeace i want to purchase a ''seben big boss'' telescope but im not quite familiar with what to look at when i buy one, can you give me some hints? or atleast if this """seben'' is a good idea? thank you
@carmilache Unfortunately Seben telescopes are very poor quality, hence the low price... Skywatcher, Clestron, Orion and Meade are probably the best makes that are not too expensive... Look out for the Skywatcher Explorer 130P
Message me if you have any more problems/questions!
Which Celestron is this? I was looking at the AstroMaster 130EQ to use with my SLR but not sure how well it would work. It would be my first telescope.
I have a 130EQ and whilst it's a good beginner scope, you may want to do more research for astrophotgraphy before buying the scope. google astropix the guy has golden advice!
Thanks for posting this. I've recently upgraded to a 6" Skywatcher reflector - only last week in fact...just waiting for a chance for first light now!
I have an orion 10 inch and I have always wondered about photography, how did you take this picture? did you have a camera in the eye piece or something?
can you take pictures with Orion SkyQuest XT8 Classic Dobsonian Telescope wiht good quality or you would recommend the Celestron Omni XLT 150 Reflector Telescope.
Would you recomend this telescope EXPLORER-150PL (EQ3-2) 150mm (6") f/1200 Parabolic Newtonian Reflector

what is the spec that makes the rotation of the earth noticeable
itsuniqueyezzirr 9 months ago
I like how the picture is so clear and still that you can literally see the Moon moving in orbit.

very nice did you try a moon filter on the barlow ?
todd8137 1 year ago
@todd8137
Thanks!
I didn't on this occasion - I probably should have as it may have preventer the moon from becoming over exposed?
I'd definitely recommend them for viewing with the eye though - the Moon's VERY bright ;-)

Wow, I bet you were pretty happy when you saw those results!
It's eerie, almost creepy... so still and silent and grey.
5 stars.

How do you like using this telescope? Do you use it often?
How much did it cost and what does it weigh?
I have so many questions! lol
2plus2is9 2 years ago
Hello,
Yes, I really enjoy using the telescope. I try to use it whenever it is good weather!
It cost me £300 but I think it is cheaper now...
The full set up weighs about 20KG including the mount and stand etc.
I'm happy to answer questions ;-)

Hi,
My Telescope is a Celestron Omni XLT 150 which was my first telescope too.
The one you mentioned isn't bad though you'd need to buy a motor for it to use your SLR camera (I had to do that for mine too)

check out some filters if you already dont have any. seems like a decent scope.
rialbb 3 years ago
Hi,
I have got some. I think I should have maybe used a Moon Filter for this, and it is slightly over-exposed.
It is an excellent scope - great for any starter with a real interest (like me)
remyworldpeace 3 years ago
yeah im sort of a starter too. except i have a 4'' i wish i had bought a bigger one.
rialbb 3 years ago
If you want a bigger one, I have a Celestron Omni XLT 150.
I think there is a Sale on them so check it out!
remyworldpeace 3 years ago
i was thinking of getting an 8 or 10" zhumell dob they are both on sale for under 500 dollars.
