  • You easily have one of the best youtube channels.

  • It's David Burke!

  • Big MR James fan and this is one of my favourites.

Would have liked it even more if they hadn't changed the whole feel of it.

  • Thankyou for posting these Ghost Stories....it makes my evening so much better :O) xx

  • Oh dear! All of the subtlety of the original replaced by a brick through a plate glass window. Unlikeable characters, dialogue given to different characters, no explanation of why the binoculars saw what they saw... I wanted to see them being dropped on the patio at the end, but no. A poor effort that could have been so much better, wasted. Rather like the execrable attempt of Dennis Wheatley's 'The Haunting Of Toby Jugg', a few years ago. Don't get me started on that...

  • My Favoite M R James story !, thank you for posting this !......

  • advice to all UK tv production co. types: before you shoot off on yet another attempt to reinvent tv drama, forget everything your media studies lecturer told you and study the production values evident here. then persuade your boss that quality tv doesn't always demand big budgets.

  • Great story, but every time I see the title here I think "meeting you.....with a view....from a...hill" to Duran Duran's song.

  • It is "based" on the original story, sometimes the stories are not suited to television without changes.

  • I take your point and agree but in this case there was no need to alter the story

  • I take your point also, it is unsettling when too many changes are made

  • Yes and it happen far too often for my liking. Have a merry Christmas
