  • 3 stooges.

  • When the 'Premier Sinister'

of a country needs to make a call to hatred against a nation (Québec a nation within Canada his own words)

A nation who also contributed to build up this country.

In Order to redo his majority times are bleak for this country ...

    Joyeux Noël O Canada

  • Conservative Canadians have to learn how a parliamentary democracy works. If a coalition has the majority of seats, it forms a government. Normal business in Europe. What's the fuss about?

  • "We Liberals... we need to go back to power as soon as possible."

"Well, I am entitled to my entitlements."

"Canadians elected me to be their leader of the opposition."

    Now a coup attempt?

Is anyone else sick of the liberal party?

  • I'm sick of people who don't understand parliamentary democracy.

    ...like you.

  • This will be chaos if the coalition gets to govern. There will be riot in a conservative dominated areas. I hope Harper won't declare Martial Law cuz that's the last resort to avoid getting kickout out from the government.

  • Oh and BTW keep fueling the hatred, it make the polls just more favorable to the Bloc and Parti Québécois ^_^

  • Finaly stop with the socio-communistic-evil-separatist alliance. Harper has passed a LOT of deal with the evil separatist, the evil liberal and the evil socialist. So harper is just as evil as anyone in the house of common cause people WORKS TOGETHER there. And, if the Albertain bloc ever elec peeps in the house of common, Harper will work and pass deal with those evil separatist too.

  • .....You guys should do some parlementary studie 101. Whats happening here is perfectly democratic, its in the constitution. Secondly you don WIN a governement, you form one, we are not in a republic. COnsequently in fact anyone from any party can FORM the government as long as the majority of the chamber agree. Finaly, Harper got 37% of the canadian vote...in 59% participation election stop talking about rep, cause the cons doesnt rep much. Think about that ^_^, peace y'all

  • The three stooges.

  • Anarchry!acting like children, now bullying!had 2 put up w it when OUR guy didnt win.

2PS:BUT green party& a few others will still b on the ballot.2 many vote how parents do,not 4 who they want,or think all r crooks!less vote!

  • "dissolve parliament"? Uhm. No. They plan to use the lawfully elected parliament to represent the Canadian people who did not vote for the Conservatives in a majority. The majority voted for the other three. And the other three will therefore represent us. It's perfectly ethical.

  • Fiscally suicidal too, I live in Ontario and lost my job at the Toronto District School Board when Bob Rae was in power and when the NDP threw the Ontario economy into the toilet. You were in diapers at that time, this is a crisis on a crisis.

  • Well you may not like the other parties platforms or fiscal policy, but thats just your opinion. That doesn't mean this isn't a perfectly valid move for the government to make. The majority of Canadian's are against the Conservative plan. It is undemocratic for the oppositions to be blocked from doing this.

  • I understand, yet that's Politics. It isn't always fair play.

  • humm funny i remember i voted for green party so did my husband;

my bro and my mom voted for harper THOSE men dont rep my family.

  • There is a new word neo communism and it is sick

  • Harper is riding the bomb to the ground.

  • My god, it's like talking to monkeys. Oh wait may be monkey have better logic than you. I will repeat again, 65% of the people did not vote against harper. That wasn't on the ballot so you can't make that interpretation. To impose an interpretation on what canadians want is undemocratic. Why don't the coalition add in votes from canadian idol too. I mean they are votes too and since logic doesn't matter, why not just throw them in the mix. You people are are idiots.

  • "My god, it's like talking to monkeys." Is that a reference to the Conservative Youth Wing?

  • Do you realize what you are saying, that those that voted Liberal now have to accpet that their leaders are working with a party that only has one mandate TO BREAK UP CANADA? It's like telling my wife I slept with prostitute just so she could afford food, really dear it's only about me supporting her in her time of need!

  • I say let us go to the polls now, we can choose between the 2 parties this time. WOW power hunger does wierd things to grown men.

  • If you feel that you can add apples and oranges and that the coalition represents 65% of Canadians, why are you afraid to take this to a vote? I would salute whoever the rightfully elected prime minster is. And if it's Dion so be it. If it's layton so be it. but to make an arbitrary decision based on backroom deals and an interpretation of how people voted is ludicrous. It's very simple. Voting is democratic, playing politics and technicalities against the results of a vote is not.

  • harper didnt do anthing wrong. what did he do wrong? anybody, please proove it to me.

  • he tried to cut federal funding to political parties. the opposition parties got mad and want a no confidence vote

  • jjoaquin, I am glad you have an opinion, we all should but that doesn't make it right. This is why we have elections. If the Canadian people wants a coalition they need to have a chance to vote for it. If NDP, LIberal and Bloc dissolved their parties and became one and Dion is the leader and he beats Stephen Harper I have no problem with calling Dion PM. That's democracy. Despite how you want to suger coat it taking power by playing politics is not.

  • Your definition of democracy is 100% wrong, look it upthe Coalition is 100% democratic!

Harper wanted another election and bullied the opposition; never in his dreams did he think that the opposition would unite.

In 2004 Harper recommended to GG that a right coalition was needed and all for it, now he says the opposite?

  • he did nothing wrong. He's a strong leader and a good leader. These three are power hungry politicians and nothing more.

  • So, taking money from the poor and handing it over to big business is the right thing to do?

  • im in a recession as well, so what do i get?

  • and the Conservatives DO have an ecomonic stimulus plan. That's a lie too.

  • The people have spoken! The Canadian Citizens have spoken! They voted in the last election. They accept it. I accept it, although I didn't even vote Conservative it upsets me to see Harper be undermined and underestimated. Steven Harper has a masters degree in Economics. A Masters Degree. You tell me he is incompetent? That's a lie.

  • i agree with you that harper is definetly compitant to handle the economic situation, but the CDN ppl spoke and over 60% didn't want harper as PM. a coalition of the opposition would represent more CDN's. This isn't the U.S. where the leader is free to do what he wants. In a minority, the PM must work with all other parties and harper wasn't doing that so now the opposition is ganging up on him. This is legal and its not overturning the election when over 60% didn't want harper

  • Then call an election. If the coalition wants to rule, they must actually win the election. Public opinion is behind the conservatives. This political instability has caused a plummet in the stock market.

  • jjoaquin, your argument makes no sense. By your argument 80% of the Canadian people did not want Dion. You don't vote against a party, you vote for a party. There was no checkbox that said "against Harper" and "for Harper". It's this basic logic flaw that is getting us into this stupid debate in the first place. I hope most Canadians are smarter than you or god help us all.

  • 60% voted for either bloc, ndp, or liberal party, the people have spoken. If the parties want to work together to form a government, whats wrong with that? A coalition government would have the 3 parties work together as opposed to a minority harper gov't where harper plays hard ball. This isn't about dion being pm, its far from it. This situation is about the 3 parties working together for a common cause, the economy. Nothing more, nothing less.

  • Yet in a democratic Election, only one party wins to run the Government.

  • if over 60% didn't want harper as their Prime Minister, why did they vote for him? Oh, I forgot, that's common in this country, vote for the guy you don't like, then complain about him lol.... Time to get someone that will do the right thing.

  • Fuck this! Liberals are in bed with the Bloc!!! Get rid of Stephen Dion.

  • Democracy has been hijacked by socialists.

  • everyone is being a bit prejudice on the subject, first if this succeeds, I can't see any election in Canada being fair anymore. To employ unethical means only ecourages others to do so as well. Harper made an error yes, and he has to face it, but if he is more interested in correcting the mistake wouldn't he be aiming for the same thing as the coalition? Not only that I wonder if the NDP promised anything to the other parties, because I'm skeptical if they will uphold their deal after they win

  • How about you learn how to speak English...the language spoken by the MAJORITY of Canada

  • "You" = Dion

  • Why do you limit yourself to one language? The mind is capable of so much more than the weak ignorant, pettiness that you advocate.

  • Sorry. I guess see your point if you cannot understand him, but I can understand him just fine, and I have confidence in him.

  • This is ridiculous...First you have NDP and the Liberals shaking hands and being propted up by Seperatists. You have the private sector which is suffering and a pro-union NDP with their hands on the till now. And you have a Liberal party who no more 2 years ago spanked by the voters for stealing from the till. This is wrong on so many levels.

Be prepared for higher taxes everyone..Someone will have to pay for their upcoming blunders.

  • Mr. Harper brought it on himself. When you lead a minority government you are expected to consult with the opposition parties and get their support (at least enough of them to give you a majority for a vote). Not only did he not do that, he tried to poke them in the eye with his political finance reform.

    Nobody to blame but himself.

And it's funny how the Conservatives are now referring to the Bloc as "seperatists" so often. They are seperatists, but they have a name!

  • I doubt they will bring in more taxes for the duration of the crisis, but I personally am very proud to pay taxes. It is a bedrock value for me that I must pay into this great country.

  • you can hate it or love it, but this coalition is very interesting

  • Second that. Fascinating stuff.

  • tis true. who knows what will come out of this. but i hope EVERYONE in Canada can take a little something from this.

  • i think the best thing thats coming out of this is that CDNs are actually listening and getting involved in CDN politics

  • there is no crisis in canada eh!

  • Ontario is in a recession! and it one of the biggest province in Canada! it not wrong u don't even know ur own country history!!

  • this is so wrong, that is all

  • There was a time when a black president would be, "So wrong too."

    I love these liberal times.
