Absolutely incredible. If anyone wants to see more videos of this style of flying- search you tube under 3D Heli, or 3D Helicopter's. This young man is truly gifted. It's wonderful to see his father supporting his child's interest and passion. Great job dad, and son Team :-)
@Hildenbrands Since I failed to have people pronounce his last name correctly, his last name spelling has been changed to Jee from Chi. So, look under Justin Jee
@spicyhotdog89 I have Justin Jee's videos documented from day one. Not all videos are on YT, but you should be able to see his development in chronological order. :) BTW, search under Justin Jee.
I think that justin WANTS to do this! Though you probably dont know this..i am 11! I am a VERY good heli flyer ( not this good though) and i started out from my own desire to try and see what it was like! Justin probably saw his father or mother flying and wanted to do the same! Most younger kids have the desire to imitate their parents!
GO JSTIN! I really hope his parents dont FORCE him to do this! When i got into heli's =, i just bought a little 3 channel heli...and now i am going to a 4 channel...but i can fly a 6 channel on realfight g3.5! This kid, hopefully, does this out of his own interest!
Most kids are stuborn to some degree where they are irrational in their wants and needs. It is difficult to make kids do things they don't want to do. Justin is an extreme case of this where it is impossible to make him do anything his little heart does not desire. Force? Why would one force a hobby activity on someone?
Actually yes he does fly out of his own free will. he started messing around on his fathers sim and one day he noticed the kid was getting it. long story short, he got bored with planes and moved onto helis. his first real heli flight occured after 1 1/2 months after sim and he is 3 years, 9 months old. and no he doesn't vegitate on the sim. I believe benny said he spend thirty minutes at best. this kid is great man, he's inspired me so much!
If he is genuinely flying this heli I would be very concerned for his welfare, seems he's spent most of his very young life stuck in front of a sim, not healthy for a 4 year old.
What if he was learning to play piano, or violin, or guitar? He'd spend a lot more time doing those things. When I was 4, in 1965, I would have LOVED to have helicopters like this. We barely had digital-proportional RC in 1965. More power to him!
Asians do score higher on standardised I.Q. tests. Not many kids in the US or Europe, fly RC, but a lot of Asian kids do! I've flown RC since I was 12, myself. This kid flys chppers better than I, after 35+years or RC flying!
Um, flying an r/c helicopter is much more difficult than solving a rubix cube. You have to have many many hours of flying experience in order to be as good as this kid. You have to concentrate on two sticks at the same time on the transmitter. One stic controlls the roll left/right and forward/back movement and the other controlls the blade pitch, positive or negative, and the rudder. Master those and you can have some fun.
This to me equates to a special form of genius which combines astonishing levels of coordination with spatial awareness. The pilot has to seamlessly transpose control actions during the display. Now combine that with dives and climbs and flying rotor first. All in all this has to be infinitely harder than Sudoku, Rubik's cube, Tetris or chess. I'm always humbled when I see something like this. Normal choppers? ... this kid would find them too limiting.

What ever happened to this kid? He should be 8 now. I checked to see if his website was still up and it's long since down, I'm assuming.

If a 4 year old can do it, anybody can do it too! But this is fake because you need at least 5 years practice to learn how to fly that thing.

@spicyhotdog89 Are you serious? i have been with this kid side by side, and believe me this guy makes this and more.
