IT'S NOT CRUEL! The dog needs to get used to the shoes/socks. Airport sniffer dogs in Australia also wear socks and they walk just fine, are used to them.

@sjamlalala how is it sad? the dog is wearing snow shoes meant for dogs. it says on the box it comes in that it might take a little while for the dog to get used to them. eventually she did. besides, anything where she gets free extra food for dinner cannot be considered sad. that's her heaven! :P
@aforda it's not animal cruelty. the snow shoes are designed for dog's to wear. she wears them fine now without walking weird and they keep her feet from freezing when we go to the mountain's. if it wasn't for those shoes, my dog's feet would be frozen. THAT'S animal cruelty ;)

Very cute dog, looks very much like my dog Charlie. The shoes are for the protection. My Shih Tzu Charlie loves to walk on snow with His boots:)-
