Das Video gaht is Härz vo jedem Flügerfan, wo i de Schwiiz läbt. Eifach genial, dass es no soo tolli Momänt of YT get. On ich han die Swissairziite ned emol rechtig erläbe chonnne :(
Thank you Andy for sharing these moments they are nostalgic, as time passed very quickly since those years. In every country in the world, the ballad with his parents will see the planes on Sunday was a distraction awaited by many children. Aviation world is wonderfull but at the sight of Swissair MD11, I thought very sad for all families in the SW flight 111 (MD-11 HB-IWF) ...
Now we are in the third millennium and the A380 is the star of LSZH ... thank you again Andy and friendship to all ..
Great video!! I especially liked seeing that Iberia has not changed their paint scheme in 20 years... just shows that Iberia doesnt care about anything, whether it be service, baggage arrival or paint schemes. *sarcastic BRAVO Iberia... you take the cake!
But seriously Andy, please keep up the great work I love your videos!!
Thankyou so much for this video andy, the great times of civil aviation. This video is a very very important piece of the aviation and the spottig, you are really lucky tu have it in your hand. I'am very very happy to see an DC-9 of Iberia in it best time, unfortunately i will never see them. You are the best andy, and i am very happy to see this video on youtube. Again you makee me cry but don't stop to do thiss NEVER. Best regards!!
Bilder welche vor meiner Zeit entstanden sind. Sie sind aber von undenkbarem Wert. Wünderschöne und Qualitativ sehr gute Aufnahmen für diese Zeit. Danke vielmals fürs zeigen.
Andy,i have to say this:i live in Brazil and when i was 5 at the year of 2000 i made my first travel to spain, and it was by an MD-11 of VARIG,i will never forget the high engine that i was looking at Rio airport for almost 1 hour,so the MD-11 is the aircraft that made me fascineted for aviation since i was 5,and i still have a plane magazine from september/2000 that has a swissair commercial,it was my first plane magazine...thanks a lot for this video :)
I understand the emotion in this movie, i had exactly the same feeling watching some old films from our national airport in Brussels. I got bitten by the aviation virus at the age of 6, by standing along the runway and watching all those beautiful planes touching down..
I was bitten by the aviation bug at a very young age as well and my passion for it just got greater for it as the years progressed. I've been blessed wth the opportunity to work around aircraft for the last 14 years and it still feels like it did when I was a kid. It's definately something that will never fade. Andy keep up the great work and I'm looking forward to Zurich Winter Time's release.
It happened to me when I was 7 as well. On our trip from Mumbai to the States, I was allowed into the cockpit of an Air India 747 for about 30 minutes. At that age, it was the most impressive sight I had ever seen. It was pure joy and excitement. I will never forget those 30 minutes for as long as I live. Good stuff, Andy...as always!
@pilotwave don't you wanna get into flight training and earn all your licenses ? You would be able to spend tens of thousands of hours in the flight deck. At 28 it's still possible and it's far from being too late ! ;-)
@raphy1123 I'm actually saving up for flight lessons. I would want nothing more than to spend every waking hour in the air. You're absolutely right: its never too late. Thanks.
@pilotwave That's the spirit lol. Don't forget to build yourself a network of processionals in the aviation industry(pilots, mechanics air hostesses etc) , so whenever you're ready to land your first airborne job there will be guys and girls willing to help ! In aviation you have to make it happen ! Go check out this website: lifeofapilot(dot)weebly(dot)com
Great tips on how to become a pilot and how to build connections in the aviation industry in the USA.
