  • Some beautiful visuals there...and I was always led to believe Lake Havasu was a big bowl of muddy water...How wrong was I!?!......Looks wonderful...and your choice of BGM was pretty excellent!...LOL

  • @maadmaestro Lake Havasu is beautiful! What gave you the idea that it was muddy water? That surprised me to hear that...:-) Thanks for digging around again! I see you have been digging deep again...:-)

  • @GreatGig1 Yup!...Watching too much TV I guess!...Is it true they moved London Bridge stone by stone...or is it really a replica?...LOL

  • @maadmaestro That is the real London Bridge moved stone by stone! Expensive project to get it moved to Lake Havasu. :-)

  • I like your travel video. Nice edits, nice camera work and great music!

  • I'm glad you enjoyed watching! The music is just me playing with loops...:-) Now YOUR music...WOW!! :-)

  • Greetings from Badenia and 5*

  • Greetings from California...:-) Thanks for watching, leaving a comment, and for the stars...:-)

    Happy Holidays to you...:-)

  • London Bridge looks as divine as a bridge can get. Thx for posting this, Caylyn..beautiful, and great job on the music! :D

  • Thanks for dropping by, Liz! Always good to see you! :-)

  • It is extraordinary to think that bridge was taken bit by bit from London to AZ.

  • I agree! I wouldn't want that bill for the shipping! lol

  • never been to AZ, but boy would i like to go. such a lovely place.

    michael

  • The deserts of AZ have a unique charm to them. I wish my camera was better so I could have caught the red of the rocks better! I hope you get to AZ one day, Michael, to see the Lake, et al for yourself. Always different when you experience a place...:-) Wishing you and yours a happy holiday season! :-)

  • Nice show! I've never been there before. Got some cool sunsets, too... and the music - yours? :-)

  • Thanks for watching! You NEED to go to Lake Havasu and take some of those fab sky shots you take there! The stars there look like you could reach out and touch them! I'm sure with your cameras you could not only get some amazing sky shot but also capture the red in those rock formations better than my little cam can! Yes...the music is mine...:-) I was playing with loops...:-)

  • Awesome! I love these kind of videos.

    Wow, killer skies!

2:28 - love when the sun does that with the clouds.

Thanks for bringing us along. :)

    *****

  • Thanks for coming along, Daniel! :-)Whenever I see the sun behind the clouds like that, I figure that is where the term "clouds with silverlining" comes from...:-)

  • beautiful country.

nice footage and editing. makes me want to visit :)

  • Thanks, Dean! It's a beautiful place! If you visit, just don't go in the summer!! It's HOT in the summer there! :-)

  • Had to replay quite a number of times lol...awesome subjects. Love first-hand footages...you know, that personal vibe :-)

  • I'm glad you enjoyed watching! I usually get a lot of footage driving places, then forget the camera when I get there! LOL The desert is so different from where you are! When I watch your vids, I miss GREEN!! :-)

  • Love the colors in the clouds....how cool Rt. 66.....sounds like your getting the flick on the drums

  • Stunning sunsets in the desert! I really enjoyed watching them over the Lake!

Don't be too impressed, Richard...I'm just getting good playing with loops...hahaha! Good to see you! :-)

  • I loved the desert each time....the stars are so bright !...no humidity in the air..drums sound gooda me..

  • that is a beautiful place and i live in AZ i think i need too get out and see that beautiful video

  • AZ has such a unique beauty! Well, all deserts...:-) You really should get out and around in your state! The red rock formations are stunning! My camera isn't good enough to capture them well. Besides, always best to see it for yourself...:-) Have you been to Oatman, AZ yet? Fun little old town! Burros EVERYWHERE...:-) I have some video I took while there. I'll have to see if I can make something out of the little bit I have and post it...:-) Thanks for watching, Kate...:-)

  • i have not been to Oatman but sedonait 20 mimute so i love the Red rock and Jerome is fun

  • I have not been to Sedona yet! I'm usually planning on it, but never seem to make it! I get side tracked so easily...LOL

  • can you say Havasu...three times fast?

    nice footage darlin

  • Havasu, Havasu, Havasu! LOL It was easier to say it tree times than to type it...hahaha!

    Love ya, Steph! :-) xoxoxoxo

  • woW

  • Wow there are such amazingly picturesque areas in your part of the world Caylyn, you put them together so beautifully in your video's. A joy to watch and an inspiration, certainly to me to want to travel to such places in the not too distant future. Glad you had a great time, Gary =D xoxoxox

  • When you come for a visit, I'll have to take you to the Lake, Garz! :-) Of course our first stop would be to get you a good pair of sunglasses! You'll need them in this part of the world!! LOL xoxoxoxo

  • Sounds good to me! =) xoxox

  • I was wondering who'd done that beautiful music — I could float away on it! Clouds and water — you can rarely go wrong with them, so much to project into, visually and emotionally. But when you get it *really* right, like the shots in this video, it's truly arresting isn't it. They say nature's uniformly beautiful — that the only ugliness you'll see in a landscape is human contribution. I don't know — I've seen some ugly swamps! — but as a general rule, I'd go with it ;8)

  • Thanks, Link! Don't be too impressed with the music...it's just me playing with loops...:-)

Whenever I drive through the desert, I think about how tough those first people had to have been to cross it and settle not only on the other side, but in the desert itself! How did they find water in this dry and HOT vastness of dirt and rocks?

Lake Havasu is an oasis in the middle of dirt and red rocks! Beautiful! I see the sunsets in the desert as nature painting a new picture nightly...:-)

  • I can't get enough of the desert, especially those sunsets!

  • The deserts are so unique! The drive was fun watching the changing of the desert terrains as you know, Andy...:-) When you get into AZ the red rock formations are incredible! :-)

  • Looks absolutely beautiful!

  • With skies like that, I can't help but stop whatever I was doing and watch the sky paintings....:-) Thanks for watching, Tam! :-)

  • That is so darned cool there!!! I really want to get out west again. I miss living in Colorado! Those skies out there are just incredible. Thanks for the neat video! I dream of riding my motorcycle out there on Rt 66!

  • When I was in Oatman, AZ, there was a group on motorcyclists there. They had flown over from the UK rode from NY to AZ and were on their way to CA. They were having a blast...and of course, they were getting their kicks on route 66...:-)

  • Wow what lovely sun sets too. Tha lake looked very inviting can you swim in it? Thanks for the trip.

  • Oh yes! You can swim in the lake! Water ski, house boats, fishing, etc. :-) Thanks for coming along on the little trip, Kim...:-)

  • Some beautiful footage.

Thanks for taking us along Caylyn.

  • You are welcome! I'm glad you two came along! :-) If you ever get to CA, we'll have to take a little trip to Lake Havasu! It's a great drive...watching the desert landscapes change! Believe it or not, there are different landscapes of dirt and rocks...lol xoxoxo

  • Desert landscape always makes it seem that you are right up there and part of the sky. Beautiful.

  • What a great way to describe the landscape, Marie! I always wish I had a better camera for these types of shots to catch the colors better! The sky at night with all the stars is amazing! My cam isn't good enough to catch anything at night or I surely would have! :-)

  • And the London Bridge. Beautiful. Lovely footage you got. We ate at an outside cafe right near the bridge. Arizona is amazing, I hope I get the opportunity to visit again.

  • Thanks, Lisa! The red rock formations is a high light for me in AZ! I wish my camera would have captured their color better! It is the perfect time of year to be in Lake Havasu...not too HOT!! LOL

  • OMG, Caylyn....I've been to Oatman, AZ.

I'll never forget the burros roaming around freely in that town. There is an old hotel where,....Mmmm was it Clark Gable and Carole Lombard stayed?

And all the lovely gift shops.

I actually have footage from that place I took 14 years ago. Is it still as quaint as ever?

I hope the tourist trade didn't ruin it. It was like an oasis in the desert.

  • I'll have to put up some of the video from Oatman so you can see it, Lisa! The burros are still there, EVERYWHERE...LOL I have this feeling that it's still the same and hasn't changed in the last 14 years! It doesn't look like anything has changed since the 1800's...lol

  • The bright blue color of the Colorado River there is astounding. Looking down from a hilltop it more easily seen. Spring Break for the college kids is really active in that area. I like Lake Havasu.

  • I stay away from places at the time of Spring Break, Rex...lol Lake Havasu is beautiful! The true desert oasis...:-)

  • Thanks for the gret Drive Caylyn ;)

  • Thank YOU for coming along, Phil! :-)

  • wow...so gorgeous there! thanks for sharing this =)

  • Hi Lea!! :-) You are welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed watching! Perfect "village" spot, isn't it??? ha! I thought about going to AZ, but decided against it...:-)

  • Awesome video..... Some beautiful and breathtaking photos/videos.... Enjoyed this a lot!! jackie

  • Thanks, Jackie! Sky watching in the desert is fun! Nature paints a new picture nightly! It's a great way to spend an evening...:-)

  • So that's where our bridge went!

You do know that when they bought that bridge from us they actually wanted 'Tower Bridge' (the one with the towers each side) but they heard that 'London Bridge' was for sale and they thought that was it so they bought it and were disappointed when it arrived! LOL!

    :-)

  • Yep...that's where it is, Trish! Did you miss it?? :-) Your story of the "Tower Bridge" is said to not be true and is now an "urban legend" of sorts, but I've heard the story too! The Tower Bridge is WAY different than the London Bridge! I've been to both and I must admit The Tower Bridge is my favorite! :-) xoxoxo

  • Yes i agree about it being an urban legend, but it makes a good story doesn't it! LOL!

    :-)

  • It's a great story, Trish!! Could you imagine the disappointment if that were true?? I would have sent it back!! hahaha!

  • Yes but have you SEEN the price of postage nowadays! LOL!

  • Wow! You got some great footage! Looks like a blast!!

  • Thanks, Ben! Now is the time to be at Lake Havasu! It's cooler...lol I always have a blast on my little trips...:-) Helps to live by my recent life plan of "I will find joy and happiness everyday of my life" bit...LOL I think this is my best plan to date...and it's even working! :-)

  • great video of lake havasu and area! like the inset especially...one thing I haven't learned yet.

oooh so now what am I going to do with the video I'm editing that's full of sunset? you beat me to it! sheesh!

  • LOL...well, JR...I think there is more than enough room to show beauty!!! I hope you finish your video and get it posted! I, for one, always love seeing beautiful sunsets...:-)

  • Wow - some beautiful footage there. Awesome!

  • Thank you, Danny! The desert sunsets are worth every moment spent just watching them...well...in my opinion anyway. Awesome in the true sense of the word! :-)

  • Lovely video. Particularly loved the sky footage. :) and the blue lake and the bridge and the music..........oh just loved it all.

  • LOL...Thanks, AnneMarie! I'm glad you enjoyed watching...:-) The sunsets are breathtaking! Sooo many colors to them! I always enjoy watching them!

  • Wow Caylyn you did a beautiful job of bringing out the prettiest parts of the geography. It's really foreign to people who are used to lakes being surrounded by green, but it does have it's own beauty. It's crazy, but in spite of the insanity of location, that bridge is still remarkable. I love it. Thanks for showing it off like that. Beautiful.

  • Thanks, Liz! I think it's nice to see the London Bridge in AZ! I still can't believe it was moved so far from it's original home...:-)

  • Revisiting and now it works. Gorgeous skies, great view from the road as well.

  • I'm glad you got to see it, chevkoch! That last sunset is worth seeing, don't you think?? :-) The desert skies are stunning to watch...so many colors! Always makes me wish I had a much better camera to capture it all...:-)

  • With overcast sky central here this fall (as usual), stunning sunset envy on my side indeed :) Your camera must be pretty decent, I'm still on a lo-fi solution and ok with it.

  • What YT allows me to watch until this freezes at 1/3, it looks like a great day outdoors. YT and its tech hiccups, when will the lame performance finally get better? Frustrating.

  • YT has been messed up for months now! VERY frustrating! I'm still not seeing videos in my sub lists, and on many vids I go to watch, I can't see them! They just say "error try again later" or something like that! I have found that for some of them, the only way I can watch them is from the person's channel page! Frustrating indeed!

  • Tell me about it, exactly the same here...

  • Beautiful video Caylyn as always. Lovely music too. Through your vids, I can now see why my hubby has always longed to live in Arizona. Hugs, Chris

  • Thanks, Chris! Arizona also has the most beautiful red rock formations! My camera isn't the greatest to capture all the colors of them or of those stunning sunsets! If you have never been to AZ, it's a trip worth taking! Deserts have a beauty and a calmness that I haven't ever felt anywhere else...:-) I guess that's part of the reason I live in a desert...ha! xoxoxo

  • there are no sunsets as stunning as desert sunsets. I was in Havasu when there ws nothing there and they were installing the bridge stone by stone. Looks like Lake Disneysu now! LOL

beautious editing and music my dear. xoxox

  • The only rivals to the desert sunsets I have seen were in Hawaii. The best part of living in the desert is watching nature paint a new picture in the sky every evening...well...and the year round sun shine, of course...LOL

Lake Disneysu...LOL That's it! Lots of things there now! Next time you come for a visit, we will have to take a trip to Disneysu, Lesley! :-) We need to get together for a chat soon! I've been dying to hear all about school!!! xoxoxoxoxo

  • Wow, beautiful. I stayed on a houseboat on Lake Havasu for a fishing trip when I was a small boy. Thanks for bringing back those memories!

You are indeed a Great Gig! btw, I love your user name since I've been a variety entertainer for 15 years and every job is a gig, yet there are only a handfull of great gigs. Maybe I should start telling the stories.

  • I'm happy to help bring back those memories for you, Eric! Was the London Bridge completed when you were there?

Houseboats are a blast! I've been on Lake Havasu and Lake Shasta in houseboats. Great fun!! :-)

You should start telling the stories of your great gigs! I always enjoy those stories! :-) I picked my name thinking making vids is a "great gig" if you can get it...LOL I also chose it since I'm a HUGE Pink Floyd fan and "The Great Gig in the Sky". :-)

  • I should build my tepee there :)

  • It's the PERFECT place for your teepee, Guille! A little HOT in the summer, but the winters are wonderful...:-) xoxoxo

  • Excellent video and that sky is amazing !

I am glad that you hade a great time visiting that place :)

Happy Halloween my dear friend :)

  • Thank you, Laz! The sunsets truly are breathtaking! I wish I had a much better camera to actually catch all the beauty of them! Best to see in person! Stunning! They always stop me in my tracks to just stand and watch them...:-)

I hope you had a great Halloween! xoxoxo

  • I am sure that it's better to see those sunsets in person! Just invite me and be sure that when i'll finish to pay for my house and for my new car and after i'll buy a new computer and a new videocamera in HD ............ i'll come ;)

Just a little bit of patience! LOL

  • The bridge looks well settled in there - you only need the rain, and it'll be perfect.

Beautiful country you have there, wishing you all the best:)

  • Hi Ladies! Yes, the bridge is settled in and looks beautiful there, even without the rain...lol Thanks for coming by and watching! All the best to you too! :-)

  • Loved the sunsets. Now you found our bridge can we have it back please? xx

  • The sunsets are breathtaking, Brian! Made me wish I had a much better camera to really capture their beauty! And...nope...you can't have the bridge back! When you miss it, you can always come back to this video to see it...or better yet, come on over for a visit...:-) xx

  • Stunning footage and music. Thanks Caylyn.

  • Thank YOU for watching, Philip! I'm glad you enjoyed watching! Too HOT in the summer time for me to be in Lake Havasu, but the weather was wonderful this time of yeat! :-)

  • What a wonderful video.. Such great footage.. the mountains and sunsets were just spectacular! Loved your music too!! :D

  • Thank you, Judy! I thought people were going to be bored to death watching! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :-) xoxoxo

  • Can you host me like you did that Snyder dude???

  • Anytime, MBD...just let me know when to expect you...:-) xoxoxo

  • Hey sweetness....Wow...those sunsets were the best. What a beautiful place. I could get lost in that stark beauty. Great vid girl....with wonderful music compilation!

    HugZ sugar!

  • Hi JoJo!! The sunsets are awesome in the true sense of the word! I wish my camera was better to really catch the colors that my eyes saw! Stunning...:-) I'm glad you enjoyed watching and enjoyed listening...:-) xoxoxo

  • Looked like a nice relaxing trip. I can't really remember for sure but I think that's the same lake that they sometimes show on TV where the local cops cruise around on their boats during spring break and bust the revelers for driving boats while intoxicated. It's one of those "Cops" type of series.

  • It was a great trip, Blink! Lots of fun! Anywhere there is water there is a "Cops" type show busting the intoxicated ones...:-)

  • Beautiful...haven't been to Havasu in years - geez, now that I think - more than 20! gads where does the time go??? lol

Loved the music - girl you are so talented!

    HAPPY HALLOWEEN ^..^

  • Thanks, Ali! It's a great drive to Havasu! I need to go more often and it sounds like you need a trip back there one day soon too! Time gets away from us all. I think I'll have to plan another trip that way soon...:-)

Happy Halloween to you too!! I didn't think I would see you around until tomorrow! I finally got a treat instead of a trick...LOL

  • Too tired to do much tonight (so sad)...

Took dogs for a walk in costumes (BJ was British rock star & Georgi Girl was sexy groupie) went to few houses where they love my fur babies & gave them treats! (Georgi didn't want to take her dress off when we got home. (just like a little girl) woot!

Yes, need to take a nice road trip - well - few more weeks, headed to AZ for a month or two. So much to do before I leave. Havasu was fun, but hot - need to go when it's cooler. lol

  • Ahhhh...well at least the babies got to get some treaties! :-) I'm hoping to see the pictures of their costumes soon! That sounds adorable!

The weather was PERFECT when I was there (last weekend). It does get HOT in that part of the world in the summertime! I have learned to wait until it's cooler...lol It's time to head back to AZ?? Yep...time flies! Seems like you just got back...ha!

  • Got back May 11 (from mid March)

Have legal stuff to do here, then head to mom's to help her out...

Yeah, when we went xhubbie had graduated & wanted to go there for his grad present. Heat wave! and only one room in town (because AC was broken) not the best of trips - but it was beautiful (I skipped across the bridge singing London Bridge Is Falling Down) xhubbie then knew for sure I was "different" LOL Good Times!

  • That's the original London bridge, right? The one that Jack the Ripper traipsed across? Love the desert footage, drove across New Mexico and Arizona into California for work once. Gorgeous :)

  • Yep...that's the one, Chris! They moved it brick by brick...:-) Wouldn't it be fun to see old Jack's ghost traipsing across these days?

The desert does have it's own unique beauty. Arizona has the most beautiful red rocks! My camera didn't seem to pick up the red very well, unfortunately. What a long trip for work...but sounds like a fun road trip to break up working! :-)

  • I love it. Great visuals and colors. The music blended well too. *****

  • Thanks, Randy! I'm glad you enjoyed watching this one! The sunsets were amazing! I think I have more sunset shots than anything else, (pictures and video)...LOL

  • Caylyn, this is just beautiful. Wow, those sky shots are amazing. It was especially nice to see the London Bridge but, since I've never been there, it was nice to see it all!

  • Thanks, Marc! I'm glad you enjoyed watching! I don't think the camera actually caught the true beauty of those sunsets! I can't wait for you to come to CA...I'll be sure to take you to the London Bridge while you are here. It will be a nice little trip within a trip...:-) xoxoxo
