  • what is it about guitar, that brings out the competitiveness in people?...ya never hear about clarinet players getting into arguments about the best clarinet players do ya?...its music...lighten up

  • Amazing! Unfortunately I came from a forum where there was a post stating he was better than Tommy Emmanuel. That was infinitely beyond an exaggeration because Tommy Emmanuel is the god of guitar, bu this guy is absolutely fantastic

  • Absolutely killing it. Bravo!

  • damn.

  • sublime... just supersharp playing... an alltime fave.

  • great

  • So actually Jack Black knows how to play... astonishing!

  • add more notes why don't ya!

  • 2:20 Start of Metallica "The Four Horseman" main solo xD

  • @Xeter245 yes of course , but this phrase was invented and used first time by django reinhardt

in i'll see you in my dreams- 1930 circa and then copied from everyone like many other devices or riffs .

from this point of view every guitarist today uses a little from django link bend ,octaves, crhomatic runs

tremolo picking alternate picking and of course chords maj and minor 6 and many many other things

  • @Xeter245 Metallica isn't a pimple on this guy's butt.

  • the lick at 2:35 wasn't as good as he thought...lol.

  • incredible

  • apples to orange apples to oranges apples to oranges

    the guy's a genious

  • second coming of Django !

  • Joscho plays gipsy jazz more like a banjo/country style of playing. He has a great technique. Als a really good timing he has. But there is no romance in his playing like django or Stochelo has.

  • fair do's, i cant stop listening to this

  • /facepalm at the comment below. Whatever, dude.

  • he's just using tricks, no melodic value

  • @voodoosoup your clearly jealous, the guys fuckin amazin!!

  • @Benjamintolong let's put it like this. i dont like his melodies. fo show he is a fantastic technical player.

  • @voodoosoup 'so... upload your version then, without the tricks!

  • this guy must be from another planet!! almost fell out of my chair. what great "chops."

  • the man plays well, but still he aint no Stochelo!

  • I saw him on a concert with Tommy once, i think he's probably the best in the gypsy/django reinhard genre... probably even better than tommy :| :| !

  • @krissieisgek I totally agree with you about Joscho - he's just amazing. While Tommy may not be quite as good as Joscho playing manouche, I would say Tommy can play any style he wants at such high levels.

  • This has got one of the best guitar videos on youtube

    Fricken awesome...

  • Heck of a (bad) place for the mic stand !

  • In the zone

  • awesome

  • this is playing guitar --yes -roenberg trio --you are fantastic -all the greats have learned from this style !- jan akkerman , you name it !thank you , MASTER GUITARIST ! XD

  • This is the first video that introduced me to gypsy jazz. And I have never looked back ever since.

  • metal has got nothing on this!

  • best bit happens at 2:22... :D

  • @texas9085 I hear ya bro... i saw him in C-bus a couple years ago. I was left droolin on myself..., unreal!

  • tu sei un mostro vero!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • stellar concentration.

  • A cross between Flamenco and Bluegrass? I don't know... but he's very talented. Very nice!

  • sounds like the "penguin club" music on miniclip...

  • go home

  • that's really great. super tasteful and awesome,

  • Anyone know where I could find the guitar tabs to this song? It's to frickin confusing XD but I love it all the same...

  • This guy is brilliant! what luthier made his guitar, its got a real funky sound hole on it! Man he can swing it though, what amazing picking technique

  • This is a replica of the Selmer Macaferri guitar. A company called Saga Music makes them now. They were the first guitars to have a cutaway. They also employ a zero fret. If you like what you saw here check out Jon Jorgenson's stuff.

  • wow.

  • Wow, That's awesome!!Thanks for posting.

  • Is that a baritone guitar? The neck looks really long.

  • nope, just a gypsy guitar

    they sound amazing

  • It's got a 26.4" scale, so therefore slightly longer than normal

  • In my booze addled mind I has visions of Spongebob crossed with Ren and Stimpy...

  • hahahahahaha!! that is spot on, i can see it now

  • @pixiniarts funny cuz i think spongebob is by the makers of ren & stimpy ;)

  • @pixiniarts thats too funny! and true as well... :D

  • This guy is an EXCELLENT guitarist! Perhaps he will mellow a bit as he ages (like fine wine or scotch), because (and this is only my opinion) he seems a bit rushed in his playing to get through, a 'condition' that only experience helps to correct. There's the story of the young bull who says to the old bull while looking down on the herd of cows below, "Let's run down there and f*ck us a heifer" to which the old bull says, "Let's walk down there and f*ck 'em all." True mastery, n'est-ce pas? ;)

  • Dude, it's swing. Lighten up.

  • @lohphat i'm guessing folks told the same thing to django, yes?

  • This song is all about showing skills. The great thing though is that he is showing not only that he can play fast, but that he can do so with style and taste.

  • @mikey50077 Thanks old bull, I think you taught us all a thing or three

  • This is just fantastic. I have only just discovered this amazing Musician, I love the style, More More More !!!!!!

Does anyone know if he plays at all here in the UK, I will be there.

  • Check his website. It has his current tour schedule on it!

  • very good :)

  • Thanks lordkazama86 I've updated it :)

  • the song name is Djangos Tiger, you should change it
