  • When American singer Jane Olivor opened for Jonny Mathis at the Olympia Theater in Paris the next day headlines in the papers said PIAF is reborn through American chanteaus Jane Olivor!

  • And the Oscar went to Marion Cotillard for his amazing perfomance in La Vie en Rose as Edith Piaf

  • Es Una Película Preciosa..

  • Merci Edith......

  • Her performance was stunning, I just finished it, started to cry at the end. What a story. I have to fight the urge to Wikipedia her whole life now

  • Una vida atormentada , pobre mujer

  • Honestly one of the best movies ever made, the performance, the music, the direction, EVERYTHING!

  • she played it wonderful

  • I love Marion cotiillard so much

  • This seems like one of those trailers that show you everything(look at hulk 2)

  • @jcudal32 I've seen this film, and I can tell you that this trailer doesn't show you even 0,01% of what it's going on in the story line (it doesn't spoil anything as well). I really recommend you to watch it you didn't, It's really beautiful and incredibly touching/moving without being cheesy.

  • This is the BEST film I have ever seen. It made me laugh. It made me cry hysterical tears. Marion Cottilard could not have done better. You fell in love with the character of Edith from watching her perform.

  • @pearl6570 what are you talking about?

  • just a question for the persons who saw the movie, like me:

in the scene where edith piaf is old and sick, is it marion cotillard who plays the character? or is it another actress?

  • @delextreme21 yes, marion plays the older part as well.

  • @delextreme21

    Yes it's her.

    lucky....

  • @THEINDUSTRIALProject

Yes, In L.A. ... I've been to a closed screening of this movie and afterwards she came to answer questions. It was a few days after she got nominated for the academy award.

  • its my favorite movie

  • It's funny that the song being played in this trailer is the song used in Inception and she played Mrs. Cob in Inception.

  • @AlannahClaire it is no coincidence.

  • @AlannahClaire which song?

  • I can't forget this film...

  • Incredible movie! I cannot speak highly enough! 10/10

  • I love when she says "so? you have to play with something" :)

  • I love this movie; her story was amazing, but sad. Her addiction was really far advanced because she died at 47, but looked way older. Her childhood was heartbreaking, I think Marion Cotillard did a great job, but I also think the little girl who played Edith as a child was equal to Marion; both great performances!

  • what is the name of the song that starts playing at 0:16?

  • @arthurmendoncas "Milord" ;)

  • @arthurmendoncas edith piaf - milord

  • @arthurmendoncas "Milord" ...one of the hits of Edith Piaf

  • at times the film was very hard to watch, because it was that powerful. Like i felt like i was in the room with her as she was having those breakdowns. This film is a work of art :)

  • Hold me close and hold me fast the magic spell you cast, this is La Vie en Rose.

  • Je taimee Edith! Tes la meilleuree!!!! -3 :D

  • sublime marion cotillard

  • magnifiqueeuhh

  • merveilleux!

  • the falling asleep song from "Inception"! THAT amused me.

  • OMG I CRIED SO HARD IN THE END. I CAN'T WATCH IT AGAIN.

THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER!!!! THE MUSIC IS JUST WONDERFUL!

  • so pretty!

  • Filme lindo!

  • le vrai titre c est la mome

  • So proud of and so so propagandized. The accident makes us worried scared for living a life. Her voice consoles me when I am in despair. Merci Beaucoup.

  • I taste her voice as ramen with syoyu(Chinese noodle with soy sauce). Her voice is quite unique like minyou(Japanese traditional ethnic song). It reminds me of the smell of grass or sound of nature including songs of birds in the woods or genial breeze blowing through trees.I am a Japanese at Fukushima where the accident of nuclear power plant make people worried or scared. The accident destroyed whatever illusions we have had as the safety of nuclear power that people in power were so proud of an

  • When I was 8, I moved from England to Paris and lived near Belleville, I used to go see her grave nearby.. now I'm in New York, seems like a long way away now!

  • For me personally, the greatest film of all times!

  • What is the Song at 0:07 ??

  • @presidentA7med "La Marseillaise" French anthem

  • @CuteCatFaith Sorry about that. I am not a native speaker and I am not well versed in colloquial uses of French words. Thanks for your insight. God bless

  • Marion Cotillard really gave us a masterful performance.

  • J'adore ce film. Love it

  • hey this has the same song thats in inception :O

  • She wasn't from Belleville at all, but down South, and the accent was a clever affectation. This being said, I heard a Piaf imitator in the oldest restaurant in Montmartre last year, no microphone of course, singing for coins, watched her take a last bus home . . . I got chills. You have to see a good imitator to understand the power of the French "leather lungs" à la Garland. A screamer. The rolling the r's is a Paris accent affectation still found today a bit, BTW.

  • the french judy garland? at 4'7'' she really was a little sparrow

  • The voice who talks.. anybody knows who is it??

  • I only need to see the trailer of this great grand film to become a goose flesh!

Best movie ever and most talented actress I've seen for a long time. This film has its own magic, the music, the story, the tragedy and the perfection of Cotillards work. I'm so glad that we have this film to be remembered of the greatest singer of all times - Miss Edith Piaf, the darling of France, the soul of France. Dahan reanimated the myth of the story of the little poor sparrow from Paris! Thanks! ♥

  • yaaay gerard depardieu he is so awesome watched the movie it's great edith has a beautiful voice :d

  • A beautiful movie, heartbreaking at times, you can't but help feel happy for her that she died doing what she loved most, and despite all the things that happened in her life, she had such hope and passion inside her and she shared it with the world through her music!! merci, i hope you're still singing up in heavan

  • @globetrekker360 geez, thanks for giving away the end. i know its a biopic but still!

  • Ey, I remember a film where she or other girl identic to Marion Cotillard was the wife of the protagonist, and he had an affair with a blonde and very pretty girl, who know the name of that film??

  • what is the name of the song that starts at 1:03?

  • @bizzarpi its called marseillaise.and if u haven't yet, you should watch the movie.

  • @bizzarpi la vie en rose

  • @bizzarpi life in pink, or la vie en rose, like the movie title =P you should listen to it in french

  • @mangalisa Aznavour talked her out of the original title, "Mes Choses en Rose," which literally means, "My Pink Genitals."

  • @CuteCatFaith No that translates as "My things/matters in pink." Which is not grammatically correct in English or French, this leads me to believe you are being untruthful. Mes=my Choses=things/matters en=in rose=pink.

  • @bmccoy78 I first got the info from Charles Aznavour, and it is in his book AZNAVOUR BY AZNAVOUR. I then checked with my Parisian spouse, and he says yes, "choses" is French slang for genitals, and was decades ago, too. I trust Aznavour, who knew Piaf well and was incredibly kind, considering how she was in real life. I am a professional technical translator from French to English, by the way. I don't mind your questioning me at ALL -- bless you! This is just what I know. xo

  • @bizzarpi That's "La Vie En Rose" sung by Edith herself. However, that version is in english.

  • Sooo much better than Amélie

  • marion is such a talented actriss

  • I find so amusing just to see another piece of art in a french movie, and the way Marion portrayed the character she was just stoning, it takes my breathe away every time, and it is really hard pick my favorite european movie artist, but I love Marion C. over Penelope Cruz, or any other.

  • @lizzylizardson it is also a euphenism for A life idyllic

    my english is awful sorry.

  • @win713 the song is the French national anthem.

  • @theKGBfan no, it's not. The Marseillaise is.

  • @LiesbethMicha If you listen at 0:05 she is singing the end of Marseillaise. Look up the opening scene to the movie she sings the french anthem. If your french i'll feel really bad.

  • Does anyone know what is the song she sings at the very beginning? (at 0:05) It sounds very nice but I don't know what it's called.

  • marion cotillard is ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ love ♥ :-)

  • The songs playing in the background are the following: 0:16 - 0:40 Milord, 1:02 - 1:14 La vie en rose (english translation), 1:18 - 1:58 Non je ne regrette rien.. And yes, Non je ne regrette rien was used in Inception, they picked a great song :)

  • i found the movie exceptional but i felt really sorry for her :( her life weas awful. her parents were indiffirent, she lost almost everyone she loved, she was sick and the love of her life died on a plane crash when he was in that plain to visit her.

  • It's such a wonderful movie. Marion Cotillard plays Edith so well!

  • The life in rose?

AND I SO WANNA WATCH THIS.BADDDDDDD.

  • @blingblingshineshine 'Life in Pink' I want to too!

  • love love love love

  • Amazing movie, Marion Cotillard is absolutely astounding as Edith Piaf!

  • it looks good. I want to watch it :)

  • My niece, she;s thirteen months and we were BOTH watching it. at the end we both clapped at the same time.

  • Is it true that Marion did not actually sing in the movie?

  • @derek47 yes it's true. it is all original recording from edith. but marion sang some edith piaf songs on french television for promotion afterwards

  • There's a great line in the movie about changing tour life.....Does anybody remembers it?

  • Love her! Does she still live in France?

  • @ilsmila she died on 1963... Her story is a sad one, but she's a LEGEND

  • @ilsmila She died October 11th, 1963 according to wikipedia

  • Both the actress (Marion Cotillard) and the song she sings (Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien) are featured in Inception. Funny.

  • I'm really want to see this film.

Je voudrais bien voire cetter filme.

  • A M A Z I N G MOVIE

  • I'M GONNA CRY DX

  • I liked this film, edith piaf was a great character & her voice is legendary!

  • or the first one?

  • What's the name of the second song they play in the video?

  • @chuyd12 : 1) L'hymne Français ( french hymn ) // 2) Milord // 3) La vie en rose ( in english ) // 4) Non, Je ne regrette rien.

  • C'était absolument fantastique. J'adore ce film.

  • Have you noticed how much the music at 1:20 looks like the music from Inception?

  • @shaershaf That's because it is the same song.

  • Marion did an EXCEPTIONAL job with her role as Edith. She is amazing

  • Marion simply ROCKS

  • subtle nolan lol

  • oh no what happened to that comment that said "This is much more than that song from inception" it had like 160 likes...

  • @hoodrockho88 If enough people like your comment, you could have 160 likes.

  • @Aar0nDavis lol...i meant to delete that but i couldn't,

Je me demande simplement.

  • @cardinalskristi That's what I thought.

  • @Aar0nDavis Well you though right. Most people wonder if I'm american or something else all the time.

  • Oh the irony, the song that used in Inception as a music to wake the character also happens to be sing by Edith Piaf, the character Marion Cotillard played in this movie,

  • @liquidsnakeckw How is that irony?

  • @liquidsnakeckw The song Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien use in Inception, Marion Cottilard was in Inception, Marion Cottilard who was also in this movie sang Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien. Understand?

  • @liquidsnakeckw Marion Cotillard won in 2008 an oscar of best actress for this movie. but the best Marion's movie is "love me if you dare" in French " Jeux d'enfant" my favorite movie.

  • whats the song 0:16 to 0:37?

  • @Hellgirl135 I think it's Milord

  • @Hellgirl135 ses "milord"

  • my little sis favorite song is milord
