the beatles arn't particularly talented, they just make good songs. I can write a catchy good song with 4 chords. Johnny marr is a MUCH better guitarist, and Kieth Richards from the stones is also a much more talented musician. As for singing, in my view morrisey has a better voice but many other people would disagree. The Beatles had cheerful lyrics, while Morrisey wrote clever, and quite down lyrics.

I would. lol When I listened to The Beatles, I couldn't help but sigh and ask myself why they became as epic as they did...then I remember it's cos they did it first, which is respectable at best. Two artists who I would brazenly choose over them are Bauhaus and Andi Sexgang, who happen to have the greatest music and lyrics in my opinion.

If you like Murphy (Dali's Car, Bauhaus) you should indeed check out sexgang, though some people get put off by his voice, which happens to be one of those things you either like or don't like. This is absolutely classic! They don't even look like something styled from 1984. The Smiths were just so alternative back then. Totally apart from the pack. Moz is my poetic hero, and Johnny (with his classic vintage green Tele) is my guitar hero.
