im gonna try this, i also have a tapered twa, however its much shorter im only 3 months in.... my twa was boring and had out grown it scute lil tapered "something like a mohawh"lol... i seen ur video and went and had the sides and back cut a lil lower than the top. im gonna try ur style here ill let u know how it works for me...... keep fingers crossed.....:)

M hair was styled in this cut when I had my perm I'm transitioning now and would like to keep the same cut style. I'm loving your hair style. Tell me how do you keep from not looking so dry the next few days? what do you do to it at night to keep it just a fresh the next day? This is the look I'm seeking and want to maintain during my natural style. I'm not looking for the length or alotof growth (like long hair) I still like the TWA look. What do you suggest???

@terp4christ1 when my hair was this short I used to refresh it every few days..I actually have a video entitled "Summer Refreshing" and there I show how I maintained this style. I think if this is what you are looking for you should def go for it!

This is perfect! I have no coils (just waves) in the front and crown, so the shingling/coiling method won't work there for me. I never thought to combine it with a twistout.

btw, how often do you do this routine? do you twist nightly? do you wash daily? do you sit under a dryer to dry the coils or do you let them air dry? do you fluff the coils? thx!

@kinkykea i do this routine kinda every night (or as needed)...the twist arent tight but loose...i do not wash daily (weekly or like 7 to 10) i do not sit under the dryer...i dont even own one...i dont fluff the back...i kind of massage my scalp...and fluff the top
