  • Casey Anthony @ 1.55

  • the music is a kind of shit

  • I can think of nothing more disturbing than tripping in a cemetery!

  • This may be the perfect video...Easy Rider and Tool combined!!!

  • @MrFreddyGoldstein l like like the video more than l like you, REPORTED AGAIN

  • @ArrestAlexJonesNow Why do you dislike me I have certainly caused you no grievance!

  • @MrFreddyGoldstein because you are a rat that has come to america and attempting to interfere with our politics for the benefit of israel and not USA, l will expose rats like you

  • for all who say this music doesnt go with the video, i pitty you. the song is perfect for this scene and for the movie overall. the is not terrible due to the music because the time of the movie took place or the time of the music.

The movie is about trying to change from the feeling of restrictions and unhappiness with their life in that times society, and removing all limitations and rebelling from society to gain their happiness.

If you actually had common sense you'd get the connection.

  • why modern sound why not original

stoned to say the least lol

  • What's the song that ends as this clip begins? Anyone know? It's gospel-like.

  • my god.. that song is so goddamn gay.. especialy to this scene.. i hate it.. sorry..

  • @LURKCULT Fuck you dude Tool is the greatest

  • Awesome song put in the background.I think it works.I was just at this cemetary yesterday... awesome place to see in new Orleans!

  • hmm, think outside your box, darlin. The movie is good, the song is good, and it works with the footage as an entity unto itself. If one was watching the film in it's entirety than yes, this would not work. But, you're watching it on Youtube, freedom of expression at it's cyber finest. Breath deeply. Move on.

  • The praying narrative part in the back ground for this seen is so necessary for me,'' to feel the trip without taking a hit. I dont know about tool? It started okay i guess.. A newer band for the background music would be ''irepress" frid ohm,''it reminds me of the ruins of pompeii.. Columns left standing out in the middle nowhere,''The marvels they possessed at one time? huh,'' Now remain as batted monuments,''. Only to be part of the rubble, ''Of what man has deeded to himself

  • I just may be the only person who actually liked the song and the video together. Even without watching the video, every time I here this song I imagine tripping. I think the video is awesome. Great job!

  • i wonder how long it will be before some 4 year old that has somehow aquired a youtube account will get this video removed because that 2 seconds of titty was too intense for them to handle

  • Old Peter Fonda knew how to act just a little too good for that scene. I like the story about him trppin with the Beatles.

  • I really don't like drugs, I usually love myself

  • its like a 70s art instilation .video art.

  • Acid is ace.

  • I love when people tell me the orange juice story. Then I don't have to wonder whether or not they're a total phony.

  • pure quality...Dennis RIP

  • i watched this video on my Iphone, while on acid, in this graveyard the night after holloween...my first bad trip - but o' so powerful - wouldnt trade it for anything

  • I've never had a bad trip on most psychedelics ever. Honestly there is beauty and novelty in all situations. If you view the graveyard as like a funky adventure, then it's not so bad at all, it becomes fun. But yeah, most people don't have the mental strength to think creatively like that on acid.

  • The music is shite to put on this video, total shite, dosent go at all because many people have seen the film and know whats coming then that track comes in and its like what the fuck is going on here, there was no need for it. Would be a million times better if it just had the orignal sound from the film its taken from since many people know it all ready, and if the point of the clip was for a dabate about drugs even more reason to leave it alone, there not even from the same time periods

  • @4737carlin

....but I'm wondering... does anybody notice a strange-very strange-synergy between the two?

"Watch the weather change". It's definitely an interesting way to think of "ego death".

  • @Giveadont I agree. I like it.

  • @Giveadont I absolutely agree. I've seen the film, but this music definitely does go with the trip.

  • @4737carlin

this music is shit in general, let alone mixed in with the best movie of all time.

  • @Rush1013 Tool is amazing are you crazy?

  • @4737carlin I'm not sur in that

  • @4737carlin The word is not shite. It's SHIT. And you are incorrect.

  • @2Emos1Razor The word can be shite

  • @4737carlin i disagree, i think the music suits the scene perfectly

  • They were really doing all them drugs guys. Dennis Hopper stole the head off one of the monuments. Now nobody's allowed to film in any of the cemetaries in the French Quarter.

  • did you know if you dont take acid at least 150 times you are insane??

  • So Dennis Hopper fucks Karen Black and Peter Fonda fucks a, um, statue?

  • @joe588

    Woah man... you got any?

    -Lds that is-

  • @joe588 actually they only tell you your clinically insane, since acid actually opens up you mind and you see whats really going on around you

  • @joe588

Tell that to DOCTOR albert hoffman

  • @joe588 Mormons???

  • @joe588 just shut up and take it man

  • Comment removed

  • @joe588 I guess I'm insane..

  • @joe588 Woah really, did your mommy tell you that? You have no clue about drugs, or how to type.

  • mayo

  • when I first saw this I found it kind of disturbing. I've recently had a very bad acid trip with a very large dose, and I know just how incomprehensively horrifying it is. Describing the emotional aspect of lsd, this is pretty close

  • @smokeymctire What happened?

  • When I fist saw this it scared the shit out of me.

It was three in the morning, I was extremely tired, and this was the only part of the movie I flipped to randomly, so I was scared and confused thinking "what is this?!"

  • I love this movie and song. Well done.

  • I love this movie so much!!!!!

  • were they really on acid for this scene?

  • love the TOOL added perfect!

  • "Just shut up and take it..."

  • I was the dream of a whale in Iceland, floating yet flying, flying yet floating far. . .far. .further still inchanting incantillations of the far light the far night radient darkness sand mountain dream of the paladium moon In cheshire smiles of the tiny galaxy distant distant of this morabund tome of sand and rock and tree and forgotten and forgetting soldiers of militantant ignorance. • I AM a jar of mayonaise,

    and my name is GOD.

    and you cannot break me.

take care you don't break yourself.

see u in alittle bit. bye now.

  • Holyshitnoway!

  • @BladeRunner25463c thiers a dude walks around a town near me he might have died but he was a pitcher of orange juice and he was always drunk saying dont spill me

  • @BladeRunner25463c on the flip side... oh but I cling to life soooo yep, already worm food excuse me,eatin flamin hot cheetos can't stop. take care.

  • I like this... it vaguely reminds me of something off of Richard Kern's The Hardcore Collection for some reason. Despite the lack of gratuitous sex and violence.

  • disturbingly beautiful. thank you for uploading this <3

  • acidddddddddddd!!!!!! and whoooooohaaaaaaaaa good cocktail my amigos

  • hmmm

  • takes me back lol

  • i hear dat lol'd

  • Good vid. Funny that you say that about the orange juice. I was with a friend when he dropped, and he actually tried fighting me and kicked me out of his room because he totally believed he was an orange and i was trying to make him into orange juice. After i dipped from the room, his mom tried to come in, and he freaked out, kicked a hole in the wall, and slammed the door almost on her fingers. He was odd for a week afterwards(started painting trippy shit) and then went back to normal.

  • @Anderw12345 sounds like your buddy mightve had some PCP!

  • You are a fucking idiot!

  • @broadcastmyass4u Obviously you're the fucking idiot.

    Read the fucking paragraph again.

It was not me that dropped.

So learn how to read, you fucking illiterate ass gnome

  • you know that what you said was complete bullshit made up by your FUCKING FACE just to try and get someone to notice you on youtube right? You have no clue what it is like to trip on lsd, face it kid

  • No, I don't, because i haven't had a chance to yet. Idiot.

And all I did was relay a story of what he told me was going through his head at the time.

So shut the fuck up, and don't call me kid.

I'm older, and apparently have much more common sense than you do.

So go back to your worthless life and stop ragging on people to try and look like a tough guy.

    I hate youtube tough guys.

I wonder what it is that you are good at that makes you such a cocky asshole?

  • You have more common sense? If you believe that people think they turn into an orange or orangejuice while they are on acid then you are the idiot, not me, it's as simple as that. Look buddy, the point i'm trying to make is that only an absent-minded person like yourself could say something that ignorant...

  • I didn't say I believed, him.

    AGAIN

Just relaying what he told me.

    Dunce.

  • Ha! i knew it, you've been waiting for me to reply constantly since yesterday! You've probably been refeshing this page every few minutes just to reply. you see, you are the loser here. You just lost this one

  • Apparently you are the loser that doesn't have msn messenger.

It tells me that youtube sent me an email.

I have actually important conversations with people on here, and I'm disappointed to see you keep popping up in my comments box.

So, as you see, I am the one with more common sense. Shut up hick. Go make your life useful to someone.

    Maybe go learn something somewhere.

    Read a book.

Do anything but pester people on here.

  • lets cut it down man..u havnt tripped , right?

So u REally cant event think of commenting on this..not sayin it offenceivly but its a different world once u cross that point man..

    peacee

  • i think its a good idea with the music.. its another way of seeing the same thing

  • My film professor noted that the claustrophobic and tight environment of the acid trip contrasts with the overall openness of nature while they are on the road.

I found that to be interesting.

  • Long ago and far away.....

  • I like this clip, and the original, both.

  • This isn't the music used in the film is it?

  • yea the guys from tool own a time machine

    lol'd (=

  • YEAH

  • Comment removed

  • Just my opinion, but I don't think Tool should have been put in this video. It's distracting.

On a side note, you would not want to go wondering around this part of New Orleans alone, especially if you didn't know the area or anyone that lives in this area. The St. Louis cemetery No. 1 is located right next to a housing project called the Iberville, which used to be a prostitution district called Storyville before the project was built.

    New Orleans resident

  • @artstar19 I spent a week in Storyville one afternoon

  • 4:58 - great look!!!

  • wow, really great vid!

  • the guy skipping with the umbrella is quite trippy i must say

  • Drugs are never there when you need them.

  • I beg to differ ..... watch the weather change ....

  • Comment removed

  • @bblontrock: Um...okay, whatever you say, Jack. I personally have three dealers that can get me anything I want (the dealer I call depends on what part of Florida I'm in at the time). Maybe you just need better connections. LOL

  • Tool is awsome 5/5

  • "Just shut up and take it!"

  • I really like this with the Tool addition. Tool is a great song. LSD can be a very powerful drug and is very wonderful. I have done it before and it is an amazing substance

  • ive never had acid before, but the shit they are doing looks to freaky for me to want to

  • dont be afraid baby just go with it

  • Having considered the fact that the film director was attempting the impossible, viz. how to picture an acid trip.I'd say he did an extremely impressive job. Just a few things. It took about half-an-hour or more to begin, it lasted for about eight hours and not every one feels like sex after they drop it...at one point I thought I was fucking dying....and sex was the last thing on my mind. I only took one ride in 1973, micro-dot..I was very grateful to return and never went again.

  • Great clip. I think that film still defines a generation, and their logic (or lack thereof) as portrayed in the film.

  • Id describe my first acid trip if I could remember where I went...Travelocity gnome would have been helpful; but creepy

  • this movie seems WAYYY to ditracting to watch and enjoy.

  • WOW, better than the original, the TOOL song really makes this scene alot better And I love how it fades out, nice work!!

  • Amazing.

  • Every time I took that stuff (ages past) I had trusting sweetheart short chubby girls w/acne wanting to get intimate. Every time. Wierd.

  • Good fun.

  • Mam pytanie czyj jest utwór podłożony pod tą scenę

  • nice clip lame disclaimers :P

  • Hopper captured the "peak" exceptionally

  • I'd love to lick a bit between Karen Blacks legs!

    Just a wittle bit.

    :-P

  • "shut up and take it"............Say no more!

  • WoW, great job. Good colabiration. I am freakin out right now. That is best scene and song combo. I feel great!! good wake and bake!

  • hermosa pelicula, hermosos hombres talento y belleza en partes iguales

  • It's one of the best scenes in the movie....music is not bad...but why did you put all those fucking disclaimers there? You should relax a litlle man, it's not cool

  • They're there because I get sick of getting "you deleted my comment" mail.

  • then why delete their comment, who are you? bill o'reilly?

  • Bill O'Reily? ...really? You're comparing my deleting troll-like and/or redundant comments to O'Reily? Yeah, sure. Because that's why Bill he's so lividly hated -- it's not all that lame thought he propagates or his ad-hominem tactics, like naming anyone who disagrees with him "unpatriotic". It's the fact that he deletes comments on a YouTube board, that's what makes him such a douche.

  • Woww. Karen Black. Always liked her so much, that actress.

  • just wanted to comment saying i really like the video, plus your disclaimer about the (jar of pickles) thing made me laugh pretty hard! keep rocking dude lol

  • Tool is the ultimate acid tripping song. Good Job!

  • Try some Pink Floyd, I'd have fit way more on it ;)

  • As much as I love the original scene, this song went really nicely with this clip. Good job :)

  • Adding contemporary music to this classic scene is like colorizing Citizen Kane.

  • You totally slaughtered this scene with a contemporary rock song by Tool. This is overwhelmingly insignificant as this sort of contemporary style of rock fails to fit the mood of the late 1960s. Even I know this and I'm in my early 20s. You might as well have dubbed in something as random as Waterloo by ABBA. The least you could have done is dubbed in "Baba O'Reilly" by the Who; a much more fitting song, although it wasn't released until 1971.

  • DISCLAIMER: Hey Toni your so fine you blow my mind...hey Toni!

  • Still . . . all in all . . . beats a 9-to-5er at McDonalds (in my opinion).

  • the song went with this clip so well that i actually thought it was in the movie, not added by the user, good job mate

  • haha im blown away by the disclaimer. reads like a book

  • this guy ain't fuckin around here. hey, did u read about mickey? cool man.........

  • Watch the weather ...........change.

DISPOSITION to fly high to stratosphere?

Go along with this nice song.

    :D

  • ooooooo

    i like this video

    very nice

tool along with an acid movie

    very beautiful :D

  • this girl with the black hair is hot.

  • errm .... i thought it looked/sounded pretty realistic to me.

  • dannlynch - "that was also a very cliched portrayal of an acid trip. it's a completely internal experience. these people looked psychotic; again, bad directing/sorry. it's a much more quiet thing."

I don't think you can make such a generalized statement. Any drug experience can take any number of forms for different people. I had a panic attack while drinking and smoking pot and it was *exactly* like this. It was truly terrifying and this scene really speaks to me.

  • you must be REALLY tense if u had a panic attack while drinking and smoking pot lol

  • Comment removed

  • thanks for just proving my point lol

  • you've never had good acid

  • acheno hadchi wache film kanbghik a mo3in sherif

  • I always seem to end up leaning on walls & just melt in to them, bracing for the cosmic ecstasy that comes over me. Every thought becomes a universe unto itself. Every orgasm (if you can get in the mood) is like another Big Bang. If you plan on taking LSD whilst getting naked, please becareful. I did this once, had an AMAZING breakthrough trip, but had sunburn on my cock for two weeks. Be safe, have a buddy around, stay hydrated,& if it has a tinny taste, SPIT IT OUT ITS LIKELY TO BE DOB or DOM!

  • whats DOB AND DOM?

  • :D

    I have all of Tool's alubms :D "Undertow,Ænima,Lateralus & 10,000 Days"

    :D

  • when i first saw this film i musta bin about 9 years old, this scene creeped the shit outa me when i was that age it still does it now lol

    fuckin awesome movie

  • so amazing, great job, i think that is an excelent video because it shows the true betwen the real life and an imaginary life

  • what song is this its obviously MJK.. but which song?

  • nice

  • Yeah, that's true, but the characters had never had acid before that scene so probably they didn't know

  • yea for real and youre hungrey but u can't swallow it and you cant drink anything because u're throat feels like swells up

  • DAMN, they were FUCKED UP!!

  • I believe in God

  • I did acid once but I wouldnt even call it that it sucked nothing happened, I cant find it again either. I want to do it so bad too, people say good trips are so beautiful

  • once i took lsd, and watched this movie. than it kicked in right as this scene started. i think this movie is beautiful. really. i love it.

  • favorite part of the movie by far

  • song goes really nicely with this. good job

  • acid is one of my most fav drugs it made me realize how stupid sativa is

it sucks though cuz when i tell people how boring and stupid weed is they just think im crazy or inexperienced or just stupid myself

man i cant wait for an exp of dmt

im pretty sure that im prepared for it

  • acid is the most amazing drug in the world, but i find it hard to believe you find pot boring. i just love smoking it, the taste n everything , try smoking some nice fat joints with your legs crossed on some good tabs and your all set

  • That one girl is Toni Basil from the 'Hey Mickey' song"
