I was following this video until it came to this part and it began making comparisons between Christianity and other religions like Islam saying how wrong other religions are and how Christianity is the only right one. This was done after saying how peaceful and non-violent real Christians are, which goes right back to a part of what this video was refuted which is shows how utterly hypocritical, divisive and conflict inducing religion can help being, apparently.

Why do we need to have faith? It doen't seem right. I am a good person, but I don't believe. Does that mean I won't go to heaven? I was raised Catholic, but realized that I was unsure. thats a good point, you can't defend the bible with the bible.. that would mean that the only historic evidence of jesus christ is in the bible.. that only proves more that jesus is a myth.
now if another book had evidence of jesus then the argument for jesus gets stronger, but as far as I know there isn't.

He uses it to assert its teaching (like jesus is god etc.) but he doesn't say that that proves it's fact. He uses the other historical records to argue the bible"historical" validity. Obviously for the resurrection there is no scienctific evidence... but I guess that wouldn't make it a miracle then huh?

As far as the bible is concerned, is the whole species just supposed to believe one single book without any critical analysis or confirming evidence? Where are the original manuscripts? And why are 4 gospels used when it is well known that many dozens existed? Which are we supposed to believe? And what are the "primary sources" upon which the bible stories were created? You got it all wrong man. Sure even if your a good man you can still go to hell, by not accepting in Christ. But by accepting Him you must be Christ Like and follow Him. If you go on to murder a man, you obviously did not accept him because it is strictly against what he taught. Same goes with all those Christians in history that murdered in the name of Christ, like in the Crusades. They were not Christians. heaven and hell isn't a literate place, hell is more of like being alone, depressed, and just some it up more like emotional pain. Like poverty that is everlasting, It is the soul not being around God's presence. Heaven meaning that you're soul now with God. As weird as it sounds, i wish for the whole after life to be reincarnation like. I certainly like the whole human life, and the randomness that comes with it. It should be like heaven = better new life, hell = your new life will be a sad 1.

I agree with you FractalInfinities, and I have to say this. I'd rather go to hell (literal place or not) and be a good person any day, than submit and be controlled just to go to heaven.

I was following this video until it came to this part and it began making comparisons between Christianity and other religions like Islam saying how wrong other religions are and how Christianity is the only right one. This was done after saying how peaceful and non-violent real Christians are, which goes right back to a part of what this video was refuted which is shows how utterly hypocritical, divisive and conflict inducing religion can help being, apparently.

Why do we need to have faith? It doen't seem right. I am a good person, but I don't believe. Does that mean I won't go to heaven? I was raised Catholic, but realized that I was unsure. I realized that I will never be able to truely believe. How can God be so cruel by not letting me and many others into heaven? Does that seem just?

not that I want to get in the middle of this argument. A lot of people here seem to be missing points, they need to pay more attention to the video. He doesn't use the bible to "prove" it's true. He uses it to assert its teaching (like jesus is god etc.) but he doesn't say that that proves it's fact. He uses the other historical records to argue the bible"historical" validity. Obviously for the resurrection there is no scienctific evidence... but I guess that wouldn't make it a miracle then huh?

nojoso this is what you must understand. Through grace by faith you are saved so that no man can boast. Scripture makes this very clear. True faith leads to good works, true faith manifests itself through good works. Good works have nothing to do with "salvation" as salvation is a free gift given through Yeshua Messiah. But.. good works build up treasure in heaven. Believers will all be before the Lord and we will have to account for our deeds.
