i think it's just amazing that he basically sounds like 1978 on the middle part, when he is doing the howls. it seems like he travels back in time for that part.

But that is the beauty of Springsteen shows!

And he encourages the audience to do so too!

Of course, we sing through the songs! Believe me, I have been to a lot of concerts but the interlude is just so special. Just like to quietly soak it all up before we start wailing "hiding on the backstreets"!.

Yes..I agree but...99 percent of the time

too many people get excited and cant help themselves. You can hear the guy screaming DO IT! and that is a natural reaction to this song

given his 1975 to 1981 performances of this particular song..its just so powerful!
