Decided to do "whatever it takes". Considering that less people have died per capita from war, disease and starvation since the USA took power than at ANY other extended period in history, I really don't mind. Maybe I'm wrong, but using media etc to perpetuate reasons to invade, even if false, is still better than what Russia did to Georgia, Japan did to Asia, Stalin and Hitler did to Europe, etc. The states INVENTED non lethal weaponry for riot control, can't say much about others. Shotgun.

@philonetic Using war to prevent war is an oxymoron of the worst kind. First you are assuming that their would be a war if we don't act, so the answer is launch a war and call it "preemptive"! Perhaps you can sell that logic to the million people who have lost loved ones in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Of course now the warmongers are beating their drums again for a war with Iran without telling the American people of the potential consequences of such an action.
